I had a random idea to get some of my co workers something to eat after a grueling couple days at work and I decided to go with Cinnaholic since they're vegan and who doesn't like cinnamon rolls! I checked their website and it said the estimated time was 12:55 and at this point it was 10:45 so I called them to see if they could make it any sooner, the owner picked up and she made it happen. The cinnamon rolls were hot and she packaged the frosting seperately. I couldn't even get a picture, all I got was a video of the destruction that ensued because I bought in these amazing cinnamon rolls. My co workers annihilated them within minutes. At night with the sign lit up it looks so promising... but I didn't pay attention to things. You go in and it smells lovely. It's clean and bright. The two employees didn't greet us but we looked at the menu and it looked and sounded delicious. However, this is an all vegan bakery which in my book is fake food. I purchased a cookie that looked the least offensive to my way of eating. It was a poor representation of a cinnamon sugar cookie. It was almost uncooked in the middle. Only the edges were cooked enough to be edible. Do not recommend and will not go back. If vegan is your thing I suppose you should try this but you may want to consider what ingredients they are using and you are putting in your body. I am so glad I stopped by. I picked up a campfire s'mores and a Cookie Monster. I grabbed it to go, but i made the mistake and opened the box in the car, because i carried the aroma with me. They have several different options to choose from and you can also build your own cinnamon roll if you're feeling creative. They're very generous with the toppings and the presentation is very visually appealing. I stopped by here around 8:30pm on a Saturday evening after dinner. It's interesting because I first heard of Cinnaholic earlier in the week when I was visiting TX. When I came back, I saw a billboard saying a location here was open. The timing was impeccable. lol. I will say that GPS took me to the wrong side of the building. It took me driving around to find it. It wasn't busy when I arrived. I placed my order at 8:32pm. I got the "very berry" roll. it was ready at 8:35pm. I ordered the same thing while I was in TX. I took it home and ate it. Is was delicious!! I'll note that the presentation wasn't the best and lacked sufficient strawberries. My experience, overall, was better at the location in TX. Cinnamon rolls are one of my favorite treats in the world so when Cinnaholic opened in Greensboro, I was itching to get over there and try one! Upon entry, the scent of freshly baked warm cinnamon rolls smacks you square in the face. That's when I knew my being there was going to be a match made in heaven. The line was long but the staff takes order and gets them out in a very timely manner so we weren't waiting long at all. I couldn't decide watch roll I wanted so naturally I got three LOL. The Santa's milk and cookies, the gingerbread, and the chimney stack. Each roll was warm, humongous, and unique. We had to eat a few bites of the chimney stack to get the box to close and it was divine. The cookies were also very fresh and soft. My daughter had a regular cinnamon bun today and said she would give it zero stars if it was possible. She said there wasn't much cinnamon in the roll, and it had a bitter taste. It was Sunday around noon, and the place had a few people. You decide on frosting and toppings: we got one with cream cheese, strawberries and raspberries, and the other with creme brûlée, blueberries and raspberries. A hit! The frosting flavors were distinctly different: creme brûlée was a deeper flavor. The fruit was fresh and at peak deliciousness: no wet or under ripe flavors here. The cinnamon roll was soft and chewy, a little carmelized under and delicious. Nothing was overly sweet (well I mean, frosting) but the fresh tart berries were a perfect foil. My only complaint is that it is always a little slow to get your order placed and be out the door here. I understand they don't have stock ready to go at all times which is fine, it's a minor complaint unless they are busy - then it can be a while. If you aren't eating there and plan to take treats home for later, they sell the previous day's buns at a discount and already wrapped up and ready to go. I think the place is dope since so many people can't eat certain things. The customer service could've been better. I wasn't greeted, and just stood there for a few minutes with no one acknowledging that I was there. There were only 2 workers (from what I could see), so I kinda figured that could be why. One worker went to the bathroom and then left so that left only one worker to make about 6 or 7 cinnamon rolls. When she finally did come to me, the cashier was a little friendly. I've been waiting to come to a Cinnaholic for so long! When the one in Charleston closed suddenly, I found out that there was one in Greensboro and made a trip for it. WORTH IT! We had a big crew with us so we got a bunch of rolls. My favorite was the Chimney Stack which had a cinnamon bun, cookie dough, frosting, whipped cream, and a strawberry on top, plus some brownie chunks. It was delicious. The fruit rolls were also delicious and so cute looking. The entire store is vegan too which is cool. The service is quick and friendly. The ONLY downside to the store is that there isn't a complete menu available on the wall or at the counter so you have to kind of guess what are in the different rolls. This wasn't an issue for anyone in my party as we all enjoy most foods and have no allergies but for someone with allergies or different preferences I could see how it would be a challenge. Some menu items were listed with ingredients but not others, although it appears that most of the cinnamon buns are "build your own" style. Decided to stop in here for a sweet treat. I got the classic cinnamon roll with vanilla icing. Overall it was pretty good but not as sweet as I had expected (Cinnabon is better) I'm giving 4 stars for the fact that you can customize the toppings to your liking and they do apply the toppings made to order. The classic roll I got was $5 and change so not too bad of a price but the ones that have more toppings are like $7-$8. I will try some toppings next time to see if that elevates the experience for me a bit. They are also vegan (I'm not vegan at all lol) so for some people that's nice. read more
