Or at least, smaller than what I'm used to. You walk in and there's not much room to stand to look at the menu before you're confronted with the cash register. There's a ton of treats to look at and this location tries to offer a gluten free option for the wheat intolerant. You can order a dole soft serve with toppings! Or this unnamed creamy dessert item featured in one of my photos. Being gluten free, it was a bummer to not get to try a cinnamon roll I saw on TV. I'm a huge fan of cinnamon rolls, so I was really hoping to like this place, but unfortunately it didn't quite do it me. The cinnamon rolls are large, similar to Cinnabon, and you can add different toppings, which is a unique touch. I ordered a regular cinnamon roll and one of their signature rolls with fruit. The main issue for me was the taste. Instead of that usual balance of cinnamon and sugar, the rolls tasted more like buttered bread, and they were a bit bland. The frosting didn't help either. It was just a big glob on top, not well distributed. That said, the place was pretty busy, so a lot of people do seem to enjoy it. I guess it's one of those spots you'll need to try for yourself to see if its your taste. read more

I came to the opening event. They had $2.50 deals for the Cinnabons which would normally be $6-9. There's tons of flavors. They have signature flavors and rotating flavors. They also have cookie dough with toppings, coffee, tea, soft serve, banana chocolate chip bread and more. You can also build your own Cinnabon. I'm not a HUGE sweets girl, so the classic was my favorite. I'll keep trying other flavors and see if one impresses me. We ordered: The Girl Scout 6/10 The clock tower plaza 6/10 The classic 10/10 There's no inside seating, and the inside is fairly small. The staff were kind and there was a DJ outside! Service was outstanding!!! The gal who served us was so friendly and helpful. I got these for my son and husband and tried a bite of each. They are quite decadent. Full of toppings and pretty good. Maybe slightly too doughy of a cinnamon roll. They are expensive for one cinnamon roll but a fun treat to splurge on every now and then! No place to sit and eat.. it's a grab and go type of place. They do have cookies with toppings, drinks and dole whip if you are looking for another option. read more

For those who care (and thank YOU for being a caring person) everything is VEGAN! I absolutely LOVE Cinnaholic and am so thrilled to have a vegan sweets option nearby. Their rolls are BIG and they switch up seasonally and based on "local favorites." It's dangerous because via delivery apps you can score BOGO. I love any of the ones with fruit toppings, the Cookie Monster (when I'm feeling wild), and the Biscoff ones. They warm and top to order. I went to cinnaholic recently to try out one of their cinnamon buns but got introduced to something else. When I walked in no was there. I called for help a couple of times but no response. A couple minutes later a baker came out from the back and was looking for someone to help me. Still no one came out. Before I walked in I saw a girl in the front of the restaurant on the phone. Apparently that girl was the cashier. Before the baker went back to the kitchen I asked for his recommendation. I say I was between the lemon/blueberry coffee cake and the Cookie Monster cinnamon bun. Surprisingly he said the lemon/blueberry coffee cake so that's what I got. I also got a day after cinnamon roll with frosting on the side. Total ended up being the same as if I got the Cookie Monster cinnamon bun. I don't regret my decision at all. I had hoped for a better tasting cinnamon bun. The flavor of the icing was ok but the bun actually seemed stale and I didn't taste much cinnamon.The service was average. The store appeared clean and enticing. I am a tad disappointed and more than likely not be back. read more

This just opened in our neighborhood yesterday and I told my girlfriend about it. I hadn't seen a Cinnaholic since I moved from Las Vegas in 2018 so I was excited. The line was a tad long but it was opening day so it was to be expected. It took 45 mins to get through the line and get our cinnamon rolls but it was worth it. We ordered an Old Skool, a Clock Tower Plaza and a Girl Scout. The old skool is a classic cinnamon roll and it's done really well. I appreciate when a business masters the basics before moving onto experimental flavors. The Clock Tower Plaza is a rotating flavor that is like a German chocolate cake. It was delicious and had a chocolate frosting with walnuts and brownies on top. The last roll was another rotating flavor, the Girl Scout. It was kind of like a Samoa. It had frosting and coconut and chocolate chips. I personally liked it but Samoas are my favorite Girl Scout cookie flavor. The service was quite fast even for it being an opening day. They were just working with a large volume of people. I expect the wait will be much shorter as it stays in the neighborhood longer. The man who owns two locations in Maryland came all the way out to Herndon to help out on opening day and he was super friendly and fun to talk to while we waited in line. He passed out some cookie dough samples too which was nice. It's a pretty small space overall so I could see it being crowded at times. But it smelled incredible. There's nothing quite like the smell of fresh cinnamon rolls. I recommend trying this place if you like cinnamon rolls. You can customize your own or choose from the signature rolls they are known for. read more

I have been on the hunt for a good local cinnamon roll and was so excited when Cinnaholic announced they were opening a Herndon location! My husband and I attended the soft opening and brought home 4 rolls - a combination of menu items, seasonal flavors, and custom rolls. We put them in the fridge for 24 hours to enjoy with the kids on a Saturday AM and were delighted that they still tasted fresh when warmed up. The fruit is remarkably fresh (huge raspberries in winter!) and they don't skimp on toppings. We love the variety of options to create custom rolls. I recently tried another roll and was relieved that the quality hasn't gone down despite being open a few months. Definitely recommend a visit! read more

I love the combinations of the cinnamon buns that are very different. The servers help explain the product if you have questions on the ingredients. The warm smell of cinnamon is calming and very tasty. I try something different each time. And if you buy too much for 1 day, they tell you how to store it. read more

Got the old school regular cinnamon buns to go. Wanted first time to get true taste of the bun which is very good. Small place, just enough space to order and pick up. Staff were friendly and helpful. I will go again to try a bunch of with toppings. read more

There are lots of parking spaces for all persons. I custom made my Cinnabon with icing, strawberries and raspberry jam. It was so yummy! The service was quick and made fresh to order. I've been waiting for this place to open for months now. Finally got to try it today and gotta say it wasn't worth the wait. Paid $6.36 for a BACR Basic A$$ Cinnamon Roll. I was kind of expecting something along the lines of Cinnabon, but not even close. I would almost say Pillsbury has a better product. The staff was also a surly bunch, that acted as if they were being held against their will and forced to eat their own cinnamon rolls. Maybe the fancy rolls that are covered in a half dozen toppings are better, but if the basic one on which your tower is built on is just so-so, I wouldn't spend the extra money on the rest. read more

3.5/5 Stars It seemed like a fairly busy morning with people ordering in person and online, but nothing out of the ordinary for a Saturday morning. There were two people working at the location at the time. That being said, I was second in line and my order wasn't taken until 15 minutes or more after I had arrived and then it was about another 20 minutes before I received my order. The website warns about wait times due to baking the cinnamon rolls but my wait was not due to the availability of the cinnamon rolls. It seems like the staff working that day did not really know the product or which toppings go on the cinnamon buns and that caused all of the orders to slow down and back up. Having worked in the service industry for 8+ years, I know how this can be a cascading effect. Did I enjoy the cinnamon rolls? Yes. Would I return on a Saturday morning? Never. Could things have been done more efficiently? Most likely. TL;DR: Order ahead and avoid weekend mornings in order to have a much smoother experience. read more

Happened upon this tiny new establishment. The workers (Ciara Adam Barry) and owner were very amicable & enthusiastic. I got the banana bread & cookie dough cinnamon roll. Both delicious but most importantly, vegan. Great option for those fasting!!!! Will be back for sure. read more

I've found a new favorite. There are so many choices and the examples are great, but my recommendation came from a "Build Your Own". It selected the chai frosting with peanut butter cups. The cinnaholic bun comes hot and fresh so the peanut butter cups melt into the frosting. Soooooo awesome. My friends favorite bounces between is the apple and berry. The wait wasn't long after the first few days opening rush. The staff is friendly and helpful navigating us through all the choices. So great and will definitely be back. read more
