Ben & Jerry's gave out free ice cream (limited menu, from their van) and didn't skimp on portions. I signed up for their Birthday Rewards program and got a free scoop or cone to use the month of my birthday. I let my kids have it (told them they had to share) and the employee got wind of this and split the ice cream into 2 cones for no extra charge. If you have kids you know just how amazing this is (no fighting!). Parking is easy nearby in the Green garage (or really any of the garages) and the location is great to enjoy the treat window shopping or as dessert after eating at one of the restaurants. They also let us sample flavors and gave us cups of tap water. My kids chose Phish Food and I sampled the coffee ice cream, which I'll probably get on Free Cone Day:). I see us coming back here and paying for ice cream because of the customer service and generosity to local events.

The cashier was so nice, I did not want to turn away when it took too long for her to come from the back and take my order. I ordered a banana slit, but they had no peanuts, and the hot fudge was not hot. It came out in lumps. I then chose, what I thought was m&ms, but was not. The candies were so hard I hat to spit them out. The fudge was nasty so I raked it in a plastic bag I had in my car. The bananas were good, and the ice cream was o.k., but not banana split good.
