    Baked Brie - delicious
    Sarah B.

Came for brunch at 10am on a Sunday. Service was great. Vibe was relaxed. Most of the food was good. My boyfriend and his friend got the steak and eggs. That was fantastic! I had the breakfast plate which wasn't anything to write home about. For apps we had the cinnamon roll and the baked Brie. The baked Brie was delicious. Highly recommend that. The cinnamon roll was way over baked. It was hard and dry, not moist and soft as you'd like it to be. Overall, if my breakfast plate and the cinnamon roll would have been better, it would have gotten a better rating but it was just pretty average today.

We had a wonderful dinner here. The food was sophisticated and beautifully prepared, and the ambiance was quaint and charming. Our waitress, Janis, was friendly, helpful, and very knowledgeable about both the menu and the drinks. We thoroughly enjoyed our experience and will definitely be returning!

First thing I had noticed was the clay pottery, beautiful, especially the coffee cup. I had the Blackened Carolina Trout, sampled fried Brussel spouts, BBQ Shrimp and macaroni and cheese. The food was delicious and service was excellent.

Such a hidden gem in the heart of the country. The custom menu offers a perfect blend of something for everyone. Lots of history and right across from the original train car -perfect to let the kids play after a meal or relax in the atmosphere. The service was second to none!

I had a remarkably lovely Sunday brunch at Circa. My waffle was exactly as all waffles should be, with buttery slightly crispy edges and a pillow-y interior. My one qualm, however (which resulted in an entire point deduction), was the dish of artificial syrup served on the side. How a restaurant of Circa's caliber can live with itself and serve anything beside pure maple syrup truly confounds me! I could wax rhapsodic about this topic, but I must move on... The environment is one I would opt to enjoy all of my meals in if I could; soft natural light cascades in through large picture windows and wood furnishings give the place an inviting living-room feel. I sampled the dishes my family ordered (the Cinnamon Roll French Toast & the Eggs Benedict) and both were worthy of praise. We washed down our respective plates with perfect cups of French-pressed coffee. We contemplated sitting in our booth, blissfully full, and waiting for the dinner menus to be brought out, but decided we'd make another occasion out of it, instead. I cannot wait to return!

My favorite place for the occasional happy hour "dinner". The starters on the menu are all wonderful and large enough to pass for a light but delicious meal. I highly recommend the lamb pops (4 succulent and meaty chops) or the brisket-filled pasta shells, with a to-die-for marinara sauce. Grab a seat at the boisterous bar and get ready to enjoy!

Great, relaxing environment and great food to match. I love the inside of this place, it's just simple and welcoming in the best way possible. The menu seems to be semi-rotational and seasonal, which some people love and some people don't. The burger with pork belly was the show-stopper. If you're a burger enthusiast, this is a must. The pork belly appetizer was also great, it's more of a "hash" with how small the pork belly is diced up and presented. I wish the pieces were a little bigger, it's hard to get everything in one bite. The appetizers were also great, unfortunately the desserts were just a few notches above average. Staff is friendly but hit or miss with attentiveness. All to be said, I will be back and if I had a relative or friend in town who was looking for a nice meal without fighting the tourists, I would take them here.

My friend and I met here Sunday at 12 for Brunch. My first time there and she has been there a couple of times. It's much smaller in person then in the pictures but super cute. our waiter was kind and quirky, I think his name was Allen. We split a cinnamon roll for starters, it was delicious! I don't think I want to split one again if I go back LOL. We both had just the regular drip coffee and I got the traditional eggs benedict and my friend got the steak frites. I love eggs benedict, but my food was extra salty. Both the potatoes and the prosciutto were very salty. It was good overall and I know prosciutto is salty in general but this was like extra salty. I ate everything mostly and just left the prosciutto. I took off one star for that because maybe its just my taste buds. I would like to try them out a second time as they had lots of interesting dishes on the menu. And some pretty cool sounding cocktails.

Ran across this place while roaming around. Cool little place. We visited for lunch on a Sunday, place was busy. Ordered a BLT and a burger. The burger was spot on, the BLT, well I'd pass on it. It had very little bacon,. Who puts a little piece of bacon on a Blt? Well this place did and for this I'd probably not come back. Maybe their dinners are better but I'd assume the portions are small based on how cheap they were with the bacon.

Everything was seasoned well and tasted very good. It's cafeteria style so you get to choose from many sides. I've been coming to Bishop's occasionally for the past 12 years and I can say it is consistently very solid. Oh and don't pass on the banana pudding, it's made the old fashioned way. The pudding is a vanilla custard made from scratch not this trendy short cut box jello crap or sweetened condensed milk stuff. What a great experience…read more The restaurant was spotless, the atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and the food was absolutely delicious. Everything we ordered was fresh, flavorful, and prepared with care. What impressed me the most was the service. I have years of restaurant management experience, so I tend to notice how a restaurant operates behind the scenes. During our visit, there were only three people running the entire restaurant: a chef, a server who was also acting as the host, and a manager who seemed to be doing everything from food running to bussing tables and helping wherever needed. Despite being short staffed, the quality of service never dropped for a second. Everyone worked together seamlessly, and the entire operation ran surprisingly smoothly. I had a chance to speak with the manager, and I was genuinely impressed by his professionalism, leadership, and positive attitude. Restaurants are lucky to have managers who are willing to lead by example and jump in wherever they're needed. The location is great, the customer service is outstanding, and the food exceeded expectations. It's not easy to maintain this level of quality with such a small team, and they deserve a lot of credit for it. Highly recommended. We'll definitely be back.

When you walk in, you place your order at the counter, grab your number, and find a seat. There's counter seating, several tables inside, or you can head outside where they have a few covered tables. Once seated, they bring your drinks out to you. After we got our drinks, it did take a little while for the food to come out, longer than I expected. Luckily, we had plenty of business to talk about, so the time passed quickly. Then the food arrived, and it was worth the wait! I ordered the Easy Nasty... because that's how I roll! The biscuit was a buttermilk layered-style biscuit, lighter than a traditional Southern biscuit, and it was fantastic. The chicken fingers were lightly battered and cooked perfectly, then topped with cheddar cheese sausage gravy. I added an over-easy egg on top, and breaking that yolk took this dish to a whole new level. Absolutely amazing! We also ordered the Southern Benny, which came with shaved country ham, eggs, and sausage gravy on a biscuit and they loved it. We added a side of cheese grits as well, which were very good. Suggestions, Besides the wait for the food, they were not very attentive to filling your drinks. Also, If you had water they had a self serve station, but it was a disaster. While we were there we watched one kid drop his whole cup of water on the floor, and several adults not turning off the nozzle and let it run. It would be better to have one person stroll the restaurant with a water pitcher. Overall, the food was excellent. If you're in a hurry, this may not be the place to stop, but if you're south of Franklin and looking for a great breakfast spot, this is definitely worth checking out.
