Country Boy Breakfast with a pancake added!
    Tiffany T.

Overall Rating: Solid 4 Stars We surprised Dad with a birthday breakfast at Country Boy and had such a great experience overall, with just one surprise at the end! Parking: The parking can get a little crazy so be prepared! There are 2 parking spots that are right by the Country Boy entrance so if they are available I'd say grab them if you can. Otherwise, you may need to circle around or park a bit further away. Ambiance/Decor: The decor is very down home country, which I loved. It's cozy and welcoming with that authentic country vibe. If you're looking for a homestyle atmosphere, this is definitely the spot! Customer Service: The customer service was AMAZING! Our server was Lindsey and she was an absolute joy. She was attentive, friendly, and made our dining experience so much better. If she's working, definitely ask for her section in the restaurant. Food: The food was so so good! My entire order was cooked to perfection. I ordered the Country Boy breakfast and added a pancake, and everything was delicious. The portions are generous and the quality was top tier. Overall: Country Boy was great and we really enjoyed our experience. However, there were two things that I did not like. First, we were given paper plates and plastic forks, which really downgraded the eating experience. For a sit-down restaurant, this felt cheap and took away from the otherwise great atmosphere. Second, we were charged 11% for a "preservation fee." This is something that should have been verbally communicated as it was a complete surprise and not appreciated. This is something that should have been verbally communicated as it was a complete surprise and not appreciated. Despite the unexpected fee, the amazing food and service make Country Boy worth a visit, but just be aware of that fee so that you're not surprised like we were. I hope this helps you decide on where to have breakfast while you're in Lieper's Fork, TN! Overall Rating: Solid 4 Stars

My fiancée and I came to this restaurant last Saturday morning as part of our anniversary trip to Nashville. I saw this restaurant from a post on TikTok and I had to give this place a try. The service for this restaurant was quick and we didn't wait long. The food was absolutely delicious and was worth the drive. If we're ever in the area, we will eat at this restaurant again. :)

We popped in here on our way to Franklin. Great little country restaurant. As soon as we walked in we were greeted by the friendliest Lady who said 'come on in'. The food was great and reasonably priced. The atmosphere is cozy. It's the perfect place to eat if you are exploring Leipers Fork.

We stopped by the Country Boy today and it is located in a really cute part of town surrounded by coffee shops, gift shops and the likes. It is street parking for the most part so come prepared for that. Our waitress, Sue, was SUCH a delight. Very personable and the service was very fast. I ordered the country fried steak, covered in gravy, with mashed potatoes and green beans and let me tell yall, that country fried steak was one of the best foods I've had in a long time. The potatoes were a little cold but they were still very good and most importantly, they were made of REAL potatoes, which I've learned isn't as common as one would think. The green beans also tasted delicious. My husband ordered a sausage and cheese omelette with toast and a side of grits. He was especially impressed with how delicious the sausage was inside the omelette and he LOVED the grits! Overall, this was a great experience and I think what especially made it great aside from the delicious food was Sues customer service. My husband is hard of hearing (he is a U.S. Marine who has been deployed numerous times and lost a good bit of hearing) and she said something that he didn't hear, and after mentioning he was hard of hearing, she didn't mind coming closer and stating it again, which we really appreciated because this is a common issue we experience and most times we just get met with a blank stare and then the waiters will just walk away. If you're in town and want some good food and a homey feel, this is the place. Check out the gift shops too in the area!

Service and food was great! We came in the middle of the week during the day so there was no wait. The food was delicious and it is exactly what you would expect and hope for from a home cooking establishment.

Visitors heading to Leipers Fork for a morning or afternoon of shopping, whiskey tasting, and breakfast or lunch should add their name to the wait list at The Country Boy, which moves swiftly as the efficient wait staff turn tables over fast and furious. The food is just what you'd want for a hearty country breakfast or lunch - with fluffy pancakes, mile-high biscuits and creative twists eggs bennie with fried green tomatoes and country ham. The staff is super fun and friendly, and the interior is laid back with a vintage vibe and decor. It's a classic locale - so don't miss it.

Invisible Older Folks... I'm at a loss for starting this review. My wife and I had looked forward to eating here since we had recently heard and seen encouraging reviews. (We've only visited once before many years ago.) This morning we were pleased to find a parking spot almost directly in front of the restaurant. And, that's where the good news ends. There was one customer seated at counter and three tables of couples in an otherwise empty restaurant at 9:15 on a Monday. We were greeted as soon as we entered and given our choice of table. (We chose one off to the side near the bathrooms, away from the front windows.) We sat down and our greeter returned to her station at the counter. Our visit literally ends at this point. We looked at the menus; discussed options between ourselves....and waited. And waited. And waited. NO one returned to our table although one employee passed by and smiled on his way to (?) downstairs. Another passed by on her way to the restrooms... looking at her phone. We saw one server clear a table nearby, but she did not look our way. We watched as another server speak to the folks next to us....but once again, she did not turn our way nor speak to us....as we looked on, tapping fingers (?). Finally a group of 6 young, lively (not rude) men came in and were seated adjacent to us and (immediately) were asked if they wanted water or coffee. I was about to ask the server if we could have water or something....but she scurried away before I could utter a sound. Stunned! We decided (now 15 minutes after we entered) to leave. As we departed, I turned to the 3 wait staff standing and chatting by the counter and said, "It might have been nice to be offered water or coffee when we came in."....(no response)....so I continued, "we will not be back." (NO response.) Courtesy? Respect? Customer Service? Not today. Not the way to start the day or to encourage favorable reviews. (Funny: a little later, since I had "Checked in" and posted an interior shot, Yelp sent a note asking me to post more photos of our food.... lol ... )

Boy the line can sure be long here. Pretty basic breakfast offerings. My sausages were dry and barely warm. I don't favor being served with to go food plates and utensils.

I stopped in here on our day trip to LF and didn't quite know what to expect. I ordered a fried bologna sandwich because why not? Seemed like a fun local thing to try. It was remarkably good! Lots of cheese and soft bread I mean come on!! What's not to love. Service was quick and super polite. Inside is a cute diner vibe. It was a great lunch!!

Cute place with good food. Shared the BLTA with my husband and had the tomato bisque with it. Good price and cute thrift shop next door.

The duck fat fries are really addictive and truffle aioli pairs well with them. Also had a chance to try their ranch and that was tasty and did leave that sour taste like store bought ranch. Service Exceptional! Sat at the bar and was immediately greeted. Had the time to relax for a bit and review the menu with no rush to order. Able to accommodate food allergies and had the food brought out quickly. Amibiance Bright, inviting and a nice view of the lake. PLENTY of seating all around. The public house is behind the pizza spot so keep that in mind when heading in. It's nice to be able to look out at the lake and the green area before getting to the restaurant. Would I go back? We started off with the Mini Donuts with dipping sauces, and they were a huge hit! Unfortunately, I was off my game and forgot to take pictures of some of the appetizers before they disappeared. We also ordered the Spinach Dip with chips, and a definite must have, the Deviled Eggs with Candy Bacon. Wow... those were sooo good! For the entrees, I went with the Eggs Benedict with home fries, and it was perfection. Others at the table ordered the Chicken Fingers and Fries, great comfort food with amazing flavor. The fries are the thin-cut style, which makes them extra good. The granddaughters split a hamburger and absolutely loved it. The service is always great here, but this visit had a special touch. The granddaughters wanted a carrot to feed to their stuffed bunny, and the waitress actually brought one out for them! Little things like that make a big impression. Overall, a great brunch, great service, and a great experience. We'll definitely be back!

Comes with jalapeno hot sauce - don't be shy, it's more slightly tangy than spicy and it perfects the delicious deviled eggs. Appreciate that they're generous with the glazed bacon. Wife loves the little gem salad. It's a bit light for dinner; she cleans her plate. Special of fish and chips - sounded wonderful, but they were out of the fish shortly after 5:30pm - what? It's my last night in Nashville so I want to go to a bang zoom restaurant. A few of my co workers have said to me: Mr Bill, we see every night you're going out to some amazing spots. Mind if we tag along? Sure, the rules are to keep your fork outta my plate when we sit down. Deal? The restaurant is very large, we're shown to our table. Set in the middle of the dining room and facing the bar. The bar can seat at least 25 people, the restaurant is set up for fun. To get our party started, I ordered a well crafted cocktail: Tea'd Up Old Fashioned Made with Bourbon, Black Tea and House Barrel Aged Bitters. Funky?? Oh yeah I'm with a bunch of Military Veterans and they're telling me their crazy stories. I'm sippin' my Old Fashioned and taking it all in, we need to bond over drinks and crazy things we all drank overseas. As an adult, I can appreciate my Nashville TN Old Fashioned with Black Tea. While we're talking, our waitress drops off a plate of homemade biscuits. The biscuits are fire! Buttery, flakey and moist, The Southern Steak & Oyster can make a damn good biscuit. Next, my Gumbo comes to me. The first taste I can tell this is a chef'd up dish. Better than anything I had in New Orleans. This gumbo is filled with Andouille, Crawfish, Shrimp and Fried Okra. Very flavorful indeed. My last entree in Nashville will be Fish 'N Grits. Fresh fish topped with Spicy Tasso Ham over Sweet Potato Grits and Bacon Braised Cabbage. This is a flavorful dish, the grits are very creamy and the cook on the fish was spot on. We had a great night at The Southern Steak & Oyster, it was a pleasure to dine at your restaurant.

On one visit with only a few of us there our bartender disappeared for a good 20 minutes. Upon his return he was focused on everything but the 5 of us in the place until we finally had to ask to get service. The other visit everyone helped me but the actual server. Maybe this is a staffing problem, I don't know but being stuck for 20 minutes to order another drink with my meal is not acceptable. Although they had that check in my hand in under a minute and in under another minute to process. Again, super nicer people, but kind of oblivious. 2) Now let's talk about the kitchen. And I'm adding some input from the other diners because we all sat there waiting. - flavors are great, but the salt and spice level is overboard. I had the mushroom appetizer and nearly choked/coughed to death. I like heat but this was raw spice that overpowered the dish. And the salt about made my feet swell into balloons. Such a shame because the idea is great just poor execution - deviled eggs. Pass - BBQ Shrimp, sort of like the mushrooms right profile but overpowering - gumbo. Two other people had the gumbo and when I asked they said that too is just over spiced I want to like this place, but probably my last visit unless I just come for oysters. Sorry
