I'm so glad we found this hidden gem! We came here on Friday with my wife and a friend who was visiting us from Las Vegas, and we left completely satisfied with our meal. We're already planning our next visit! I can't believe we moved to the area last year and it took us this long to try this place. It was so nice having authentic Korean food here in the Inland Empire, and as Koreans ourselves, we can definitely approve of the authenticity! The hospitality was off the charts. The staff kept checking in on us, refilling our tea and side dishes, and reminding us that if we needed anything, just let them know and they would get it for us right away. We went here two years go. Not sure if it's the same owners or same business or not. It looks completely different. Exterior: Huge parking lot out front with plenty of parking. Disabled parking spots front and center. Interior: Lots of tables and booths. Very roomy and the decor is modern and clean. The booth seats are a bit too low sitting for the table. You have to look up at everyone who is sitting across in a chair. They should add at least a two inch platform (cheap, quick fix that isn't visible). Just a suggestion. Food: There was a free pitcher of ice cold water and hot tea. I was surprised because on some of the older menus, it said water was $1. They should fix that as some people would be turned off by having to pay for water. We tried two of the all day menu. The $15 soup combo and the $28 combo that came with fresh veggie wraps. Both were very good. The seafood tofu soup was just the right amount of spicy. The fried fish that came with the combo was not oily and was very tasty. The sides that came with the meals were also very tasty. My wife absolutely loved the bean past thing. We asked who we thought was the manager and she said it was a sort of fermented bean. We told her how delicious it was and how it went perfectly with the veggies. Service: Our server was a younger Hispanic kid (I'm old. You're all kids to me). He was very nice but there was a slight language barrier when we had some questions. We didn't see him come around much after that. It wasn't a big deal because there was another waiter who was always available when we need a refill on the sides or water. Manager lady was very nice and friendly as well. I was surprised to see this restaurant here in Corona! It's actually a popular Korean restaurant in Buena Park, the Koreatown of Orange County, known for serving authentic Korean stone-pot rice dishes. The Buena Park location can get quite busy, and you usually have to wait during lunch or dinner. I went to the Corona location outside of peak dining hours, so I didn't have to wait at all. The taste and quality are just as good as the Buena Park location. If anything, I think the Corona location feels even cleaner and quieter. My top recommendation is the spicy squid with ssambap. The squid has an amazing smoky, fire-grilled flavor, and the seasoning tastes authentically Korean. The bulgogi is a little on the sweet side, probably adjusted to suit American tastes. The naengmyeon (cold noodles) is also a must-try. It's incredibly refreshing, and the broth is fantastic. The side dishes that come with the meal are beautifully prepared and nicely presented as well. You should also try the Korean-style pork cutlet. The portion is generous, and the sauce tastes just like the kind you would get in Korea. Oh, and did I mention the sikhye? On a hot day, a glass of their ice-cold, slushy-style sikhye is incredibly refreshing and will cool you right down! One thing that really stood out to me is that a 10% service charge/tip is automatically included in the bill. They told me I only needed to sign and didn't need to leave an additional tip. I actually felt a little awkward about it at first because the staff are genuinely so friendly and attentive. But these days, having a fixed 10% service charge takes away some of the stress and uncertainty around tipping. Overall, I'm so happy that Corona has a restaurant serving authentic Korean food that is both delicious and beautifully presented. I am saying this in hopes you will improve your recipes and I hope you take this as constructive criticism. Your kimchi jigae was truly the worst I've ever had. It didn't even taste like kimchi jigae. The flavor was overly sweet and the broth was too thick. Mixed in way too much gochujang or something. The quality of the tofu was disappointing. There was one large chunk of tofu in there and no pork at all. I think we found a tiny piece of fat. We let them know and one of the ladies (maybe manager or owner) kindly brought us an entire other jigae, which was very sweet and unexpected. However, there was still no pork in there. The banchan and spicy cold noodles were fine. The galbi was also overly sweet for some reason, but was also fine. The food is reasonably priced, and I like the tablets for ordering. Service was good. I can tell they are trying and I would love to support because we don't have very many Korean spots in the area. Please work on improving your soups though. If I can Google a recipe and make kimchi jigae well, you can too. read more

It was our first time dining at Top Sot today, and we were pleasantly surprised with numerous things. Parking is quite simple and plentiful, as this place shares its lot with other dining options and shops. We came around 1 pm on a Tuesday afternoon, and the restaurant was bustling with business. Top Sot's tables are arranged just as it would be in Korea; tablets for ordering are placed on every table and they have a drawer under the table for utensils and napkins. We checked their menu on their tablet and they had pancakes, tofu soups, bibimbap, and more. They also had a tofu soup special and a lunch special! We ordered their brisket tofu soup special which came with side dishes, rice, and protein for an extra price. We had chosen their galbi ribs. Our friends had ordered their seafood pancake and their vegetarian tofu soup. I enjoyed their galbi ribs very much! It was soft and tender. Their side dishes were wonderful! I enjoyed their deep fried eggplant and their fish cakes. I think I wasn't a fan of their tofu soup. There was a lot of soup, but not much substance in it. We la med meat, tofu, but saw a few pieces of cucumber? We just drank spicy water it felt like. I also liked that they handed a basket of blanched vegetables to go with our meal. I was in the area for a yelp event nearby and saw that this was close on my bookmarks. They have a sister branch in Buena Park. They opened recently near Pan Dumping House with a good parking lot size. I was seated quickly, they have a kiosk on each table along with a pot of hot barley tea and water bottle served quickly. I order their bbq ssam ($28.99) which is bulgogi and soondubu with banchan. I chose the seafood soondubu which has baby shrimp, mussel, and clam. Egg is $1 extra. For banchan, they had fried eggplants, sliced radish with wasabi, ssamjang, radish kimchi, stir-fried tofu, and a cilantro, onion, and tomato salad. The pork bulgogi was served on a hot cast iron plate and the rice was in a hot pot. The bulgogi was tender and not too spicy. The ssamjang has sunflower seeds and walnuts (?) in it; it's not as salty as other restaurants, goes well with the bulgogi. A little cup of sikhye (sweet rice) was served with the receipt. 10% service charge is added automatically. The staff is nice and the place is clean. read more

Came here to meet with friends and my friends had a stroller with a baby. They were able to accommodate. This is a pretty authentic Korean restaurant with the utensils in the drawer of the table and the ordering pad. The servers were nice and our food came out pretty quick. Gave this place a try as we were wanting to explore more Korean restaurants. The tables each come with tablets for ordering but a server can also come serve you. We ordered a beef tofu soup and cheesy chicken combo along with an extra bowl of rice. The food is slightly more pricier than other places we have seen but they come with different side dishes and cabbage and perilla leaves that you can use to wrap your meat and eat. Their tofu soup also tastes different when you choose their non-seafood stock. After trying it though, I prefer the seafood stock. We recently visited Topsot and had a really nice experience overall! We ordered the squid bulgogi, galbi, and ssambap, and everything was delicious. The side dishes were also tasty and went really well with the meal. As a Korean, I found the cilantro salad especially interesting. The cilantro flavor was pretty strong, which was a little different from what I'm used to, but it was fun to try something unique. The service was friendly and attentive, and we really enjoyed our meal. The ssamjang was a little milder than my personal preference, but I liked that the overall flavors felt fresh and on the healthier side. I think this would be a great place for people who enjoy lighter Korean flavors, including older adults. One thing to note is that a 10% service charge is included, and parties of 6 or more have a 15% service charge automatically added to the bill. Just something helpful to know ahead of time. Ordered the beef rib soup and ox bone soup to go because its one of my favorite comfort soups. It tastes very similar to Da Rae (the restaurant that was here before) good clean and authentic flavor. I will say that I feel a little cheated with the portion of meat in it. I remember getting close to 10 thin strips of brisket before and now it is more like 5 or 6 strips. We got more ribs previously as well but noticed a smaller portion as well. The banchan was really good but I wish I asked for extra because it was a pretty small portion for 2 entrees. Customer service was great, they were friendly and extremely fast. The restaurant got a face lift and there are now booths and modern lighting, calming music and baseball was on the tv. Tried this new Korean spot and it did not disappoint! We ordered the Tofu Soup all day special and the chicken and cheese combination meal. The cheese on top of the chicken was torched right at the table! Both were flavorful! The banchan was also great and we were offered refills of any of the ones we wanted throughout the meal. The service was friendly and attentive, which made the meal even better. Not pictured was a sweet rice dessert drink we hadn't tried before, and it was a pleasant surprise to end the meal. My go to spot for a tasty, hearty meal whenever I'm in the area. I think this restaurant offers better tasting quality Korean food of comparable price than any other in OC. My mom mentioned that it tastes better than any restaurant near her in Buena Park/Fullerton area, and I can say it's better than any place in Irvine. My kids, mom, and I ordered the donkatsu, galbitang, and the spicy bbq pork with sot bat and everyone enjoyed all the food. Great flavor, fresh ingredients, and large portions. I loved my dinner! I ordered the set menu with fried flounder, kimchi stew, and hot pot rice. Everything was delicious. The fried flounder was lightly battered, fish was flaky, and tasty. The kimchi stew had pieces of pork, had the right amount of spicy without going overboard, and slightly sour from the well fermented kimchi. The way kimchi stew is supposed to be. The endless side dishes were very tasty too. My favorite was eggplant tempura. So good! To end my meal, I was served sweet rice beverage as dessert. It hit the spot on a hot summer day. I ordered spicy, mixed noodles to go for my wife (bibimnangmyun). I asked the waitress for side dishes, especially the eggplant tempura for my wife. The food is pretty good but I miss the old ownership. It used to feel like an authentic Korean restaurant, the prices were fair, the staff was nice and there was a nice big menu that contained a lot of comfort food, but now it's completely different. For starters, when we went in nobody greeted us, one of the staff just gestured at a table for us to sit anywhere. Then when we got to our table, there was just this little kiosk that we basically did EVERYTHING through. Ordered food, drinks, paid; the waiter didn't even check on us unless we rang his little bell on the kiosk. It felt very detached, very corporate, almost dystopian, I won't even lie. The menu now is maybe 10 options tops and the prices are astronomical. Only a few of the options have pictures and they have maybe 2-3 options for drinks. I will give it this, they have marinated raw crab which is basically impossible to find anywhere else, but it was like $80 last I remember, not really worth the price. The food IS good and the staff were even pleasant when they chose to interact with us, but a restaurant is supposed to provide an experience, not make dining feel like you're being inconvenient when you just want to ask the waiter what a certain option on the menu is. This used to be one of our favorite places to eat, but we probably won't be back. read more

Made wraps with ssam and soybean paste. Friendly staff and meal came out relatively fast (within 15 minutes). Good quality and the quantity was just enough to be content - did not leave me feeling like I ate too much. Beef soft tofu, medium spicy, was good and so was the galbitang. Next time I will try tteokbokki and Korean pancake. It's very nice to have comfort Korean foods at a clean restaurant with a pleasant ambiance that leaves a satisfied feel instead of uncomfortable fullness I often get from dining at ayce buffets. I saw a lot of families and friends come here . I have been here twice now, and plan to visit more often. This place shouldn't even be called a Korean restaurant--it was that bad. First, they don't use proper amounts of ingredients. I ordered sundubu (soft tofu stew), but the tofu was basically drowning in watery red pepper powder broth with just one shrimp and one mussel. The "vegetables" were so minimal you couldn't even call them vegetables. The side dishes (banchan) that came with the meal were also cheap-tasting and had almost no flavor. The food was great! Really nice not having to drive all the way to Orange County for Korean food. Each table is given an iPad where it's self serve to order and a server will come over once the food/ beverages are ready. Really nice if you're not looking for someone to pop up at the table every few minutes. I know to some they may not be a fan but I loved that. The food portions were pretty good. The bulgogi special comes with a big plate of beef bulgogi, rice, banchan, soup, and a big basket of pickled cabbage, perilla leaves and lettuce. After Jin-han closed down, this is my go to spot! They have amazing bulgogi and it pairs extremely well with their soybean soup, although it is on the saltier side. The service is excellent! They all work together with such care and check up on you, refilling banchan whenever you want! Also the interior and outside design is very nice, with it being very open and the space between tables isn't so claustrophobic! Also it's perfect because they have these cool tablets to order from as well making it friendly for introverts! My personal favorite combo, is the perilla leaf, bulgogi, tomato and cilantro, kimchi, and bean paste! If you want delicious Korean food that isn't just a typical KBBQ restaurant this is the place. This is the closest to traditional Korean food I've had in Corona. I got the BBQ Bulgogi set which came with a variety of side dishes, fresh cooked rice, your choice of protein, and a tofu soup. I chose the seafood tofu soup but they had a beef one as well. My husband got the pork cutlet plate. Everything came out freshly made and tasted incredible. Service was also great! They were attentive and offered to refill our side dishes as well.
