I ordered delivery and an hour waiting called to see where they were and they lied? Said they were on the ways. They never showed. Called again and they put me on hold and they told me they never made it! I asked for a refund and they told me I had to go thru the online order app. Of course they were no help to resolve the issue. Worst customer service ever. read more

Horrible service. I placed an order at 7:00 thru Door Dash for 3 meals. It was supposed to take 45 minutes but instead took 1.5 hours to be delivered. At 8:30, when I finally received the order, found that it had been shorted 1 meal but we got the side salad and bread that went with the meal. I did not receive a call or notification from anybody at Ciro's that this meal wasn't available so there was no opportunity to replace or substitute the meal, just no meal. That is NOT how you keep a customer. Had we known the order that meal wasn't available we would have been cancelled and gone elsewhere. I called Ciro's and spoke with manager. When he found out that the order came through Door Dash he refused to discuss it with me, told me that it wasn't his problem and hung up on me. I called back 3 times and they wouldn't answer the phone. Clearly no people skills... Lost my business... read more

I had a craving this morning for a couple of slices of Ciro's Flying cheese pizza except then I remembered you never no what you will get. Sometimes, the pizza is so delicious and freshly made that day. I especially like their cheese. Other days, I would end up getting two slices that were completed soaked in grease that had some fresh cheese sprinkled on top and then re-heated. This should have been thrown away since it was from the day before and not stored properly. This happened to me the last two times I went in for my cheese pizza fix. I told myself, no more! I have had other items on their menu. Sometimes they taste great and have large portions and other times you end up with a very small portion. If you want to know what to expect, you will not find it here. Consistency is lacking. read more

This Company for the 2nd time has refused to refund or replace a misdelivered orders to our address. We use the "Slice" app to place an order. They will keep your order for hours in "out for delivery" when they deliver to the wrong address. Then switch it to "delivered" when you call to request where your order is, hours later. They have "identified" to Slice who received the order, and well we don't have kids. So we have two problems, their inability to read for address clearly marked by the road for an accurate delivery. Unfortunately, a thieving, dishonest neighbors in our neighborhood. read more

The atmosphere was dingy, one could say even dirty. When my sons and I went in, the place was empty of customers, yet it took about 15 minutes and my son's going up to the counter in order to get any service! The mozzarella sticks were ok, but the sauce that came with it was way too spicy, and it resembled canned tomato sauce. Speaking of which, the sauce on the pizza, though not as spicy, also resembled that of canned tomato sauce. It's like they don't know the meaning of marinara or pizza sauce! read more

First off if I could give em no stars I would. I order from this place pretty regularly. For the most part the order is ok. Today I made an order for a steak and cheese deluxe with no tomatoes. I get home and look at the sun and I basically have a bun with hardly any steak and cheese and that's it. I call them and tell them and the manager put the waitress on the phone that took my order. She is rude and tells me I'm wrong and that's what I ordered. Customer service sucks. I'm not one to write a review much less complain. I felt it necessary to write one this time because I work hard for my money and at least thought they would let me bring it back and make it right. I don't want anything free I just want what I ordered. So if I were you I would pass this place on go eat at wood fired grill instead! read more

Awful service. The food took forever to come out and there were only a handful of people there. The staff gave part of our order to another table so we had to wait even longer. Then when my mozzarella sticks were finally ready I watched the guy drop one on the warming table that looked like it hadn't been cleaned in weeks and the waitress brought me 4 instead of the 5 I ordered and since we were going out for my husbands lunch break we were on a time limit so I asked them to box it for me and the mozzarella stick that they dropped (and that was still sitting on the warming table) was just picked back up and put in my to go box. read more

i've received TWO salads with black hair in it, i have blonde..nobody in my home has dark long hair. it's also mixed in WITH the salad. i've also received a SOGGY, SMOOSHED pizza from them. ALL separate orders. I finally decided to request a refund when the second salad incident occurred, they said it would come in up to 4 business days, they NEVER refunded me. The first pizza I ordered was excellent. It had a lot of cheese, tasty sauce, peppers and onions and just very tasty overall. The next pizza I ordered a few weeks later was a dud. Why do pizzerias use sliced sausage on pizzas? It seemed like pasturized lunch meat. I thought the first pizza had fresh, ground sausage. I also got canned mushrooms, but I was told by the owner that a lot of people like canned mushrooms and to be sure to tell them when I place my order that I prefer fresh mushrooms. The onions and peppers were so large that half way through eating the slice I started picking them off. They were very overpowering being such large pieces. read more

Ordered a medium philly cheese steak pizza. It was good. Arrived hot. Crust was good as were the toppings. I expected red sauce but apparently it doesn't come like that so ask if you like it like I do. Dropped one star because delivery was a touch late. The driver apologized. Nice touch. Gracious. They do take credit cards for delivery too. Yes, those answering the phone appear a little gruff, but I think they are from 'up north.' Talk through it because they really are nice. Once they get that you get them, the conversation flows. I do think the pizza is better because they are from 'up north' because they do pizza right up there. I'd order or eat there again. Here in the area for a few days and wanted pizza. Honestly hovering between 2.5 and 3 stars. Ordered two slices of pepperoni, fries and a drink. Pepperoni pizza was piping hot and very gooey and cheesy but unfortunately was rather bland. Expectations weren't really high coming here. Fries were hot but soggy. Yeah doesn't sound very appetizing either. Took everything to go after seeing the huge amount of flies buzzing around inside. Hubby thought his pizza was ok. Service was friendly enough. I ordered a meat lovers and a plain cheese pizza for delivery through Grubhub Saturday evening 03/28/2015. What was delivered was two plain cheese pizzas, I contacted Ciro's and they admitted that they made two cheeses for my order and not what I ordered then offered to deliver the meat lovers in 30 minutes but we had a movie to catch, they told me that they would credit the cost of the pizza back to my account with some reluctance. This morning I checked my account and nothing, I contacted Grubhub and they contacted Ciro's, Ciro's changed their mind and said they would refund the difference after charging me for the extra cheese that I did not order.... read more

It is sad when a restaurant's leadership does not seem to care about being polite or kind. Good service can often times make up for average food. Most restaurants that don't understand that go out of business within 2 years or they slowly run them selves to the ground. The worst part is- there are probably eager young people working in the kitchen or waiting tables that are being taught to have a bad attitude by their mentors. I don't take the time to rate every place I frequent. However I hope Ciro's owners read this. I've read this from others and it's true. Sometimes, I can order (usually get a steak sub or cheeseburger and fries), and it's so good you want to go back the next day. Other times, it's so bad I never want to go back. Last night I ordered a steak sub and fries. There may have been 1/2 cup of steak on the sub. It was piled high with mushrooms, onions & banana peppers. I normally like some of that, however there were so many peppers alone it tasted like I was eating a pepper sandwich. And b/c there were so many hot veggies, the sub was so soggy It was totally falling apart. The fries were hard. If it wasn't so late, I would have returned it for my money back. It seems to be whomever is cooking. I wish they would figure out who can't cook and let them wait tables instead. read more

I fell in love with the Ciros location in Waynesboro, VA when I moved to the area- everything about the food and service was phenomenal. When I moved to Weyers Cave and was immediately excited to go to the Grottoes location, I was completely let down. You can't speak with anyone on the phone, their ordering app doesn't work, and when I called and pressed 3 to speak with someone- no one answered. I took my business elsewhere and won't be trying to experience this location again. read more

Ordered the Sicilian special deluxe with garlic sticks; it was ready for pickup on time. Sauce wasn't the best I've ever had, but the crust was nicely done. I would get pizza from Ciro's again next time I'm in town. read more
