This is my first visit to Citadel for 2020 and I am impressed with the measures they are taking for everyone to enjoy and feel safe as they shop. Parking was easy for a Saturday afternoon. Some stores had long lines and some had no lines. I do suggest you bring sunscreen, sun glasses or even an umbrella if you plan on waiting in long lines to get in. I went to a few stores such as Aerie, Coach, and Old Navy, Sketchers, among other stores and I only had pleasant experiences. There were lines and they limited the number of people that can enter so I could enjoy the shopping experience. They were proactively wiping down the counters after every customer. The outlet also have big signs to inform what actions they are taking along with reminders on wearing a mask, social distancing and washing your hands and don't shop if you have symptoms or if you think you were recently exposed. They provide hand sanitizers throughout the whole outlet. The women's restroom were constantly being cleaned and they blocked off every other sink so you can social distance. As for all the visitors/customers, everyone followed the guidelines. I did not see anyone what was making a big deal out of wearing a mask. Overall, 10/10 would shop here during a pandemic while taking pre-cautions for yourself and others. read more

I was a bit dissatisfied with their outlet prices. I think their prices were expensive to be an outlet, they were the same price as a regular store. I can find better deals online. I was hoping to find some nice things at The Disney Outlet, but left empty handed. This outlet has plenty of parking and it's free. read more

4 stars I've been coming here since I was a kid and I'm pretty estatic to see this outlet thrive. In the 90s there was definitely a 10-year-ish period where there were only a handful of stores anchoring this outlet. Those stores were Espirit, Nine West, I think Payless Shoe was here at one point, some kitchenware store, Guess, Old Navy, and a couple others that never lasted as long as Old Navy. I don't fully remember, but I think the current location of Old Navy is where Espirit once was and the current location of Ralph Lauren is where Payless Shoe was. My gosh I'm old! O_o And during this lull in business, the only standing restaurants I think were Panda and Subway. Fast forward to 2022, I'm happy to see so many mid-to-highend stores and food choices! I'm also always pleasantly surprised by their themed decor - my favorite will always be Christmas time with their snow schedule and gigantic xmas tree. I would love to see a big outlet pet store that sells discounted pet toys/clothes that also offers doggie daycare by the hour so that I can take my time shopping, but alas, that might just be a dream (^_^) read more

My first time here!! OMG!! I love this outlet mall!! Not only is there outdoor parking, they have garage parking also!! The outlet I normally go to is Camarillo outlet and it makes you walk all over the place, the stores are just spread far apart and you have to walk across parking lots...whereas this one is like a mall mall...stores to your right and stores to your left and across...all the food area are together. Parking is free. They also have valet parking too, not sure the price. read more

What an attractive and huge outlet mall, first time shopping at Citadel Outlets and I am very impressed. We had some time to kill, a little over an hour before our lunch so we stopped here for a bit, back in October of 2019. Since October is breast cancer awareness month, I loved seeing the Pink support decorations Citadel Outlet had around the outlet. Within one hour of shopping time here, I was able to shop at 2 stores and was able to explore the outlet really quick. Besides the beautiful landscaping, I was surprised to see red hibiscus floral plant, beautiful outdoor decor, my fave is the outdoor food court area, there are little eatery shops with outdoor dining area. Did you know that Citadel Outlet is Los Angeles' only Outlet shopping Center? with more than 130 stores and restaurants, my one hour visit here was too short. We stayed in San Gabriel area and this Outlet mall is only a 20 minutes drive. Citadel Outlet is open 7 days a week from 10 am - 9 pm, I am surprised that the outlet hours are the same even on Sundays. Overall, I loved my very first time visit and shopping experience at Citadel Outlets, I wouldn't mind coming back again, when I am visiting Southern California and it will have to be longer than one hour!! read more

I enjoyed my experience shopping here early November before all the crazy Black Friday sales started. The stores still had great prices and were fully stocked. I had my pick of all styles and sizes no problem. Parked right in front of the stores. Relaxed atmosphere right off the highway. Not very busy. I got a couple of great things and my partner--she cleaned up. I certainly would not come here Black Friday or between that date and Xmas--you will have pain like you have never experienced before: Long lines to get in the stores, parking far away, fights to get parking, cars backed up, massive crowds, and worst of all lack of inventory so you can't get what you want when you finally do get in the store. The trick to great shopping here is come at the end of October or early November when they have the maximum inventory on the shelves waiting for Black Friday. I'd come back here to shop well after the holidays are done--maybe in March or April when they stock back up. read more

Stopped by this outlet area over a decade ago during a road-trip from NorCal to visit SoCal. Was not impressed with what I saw back then & never return - did not see any interesting shops or things. This time (on another road-trip to SoCal), can't help but notice the beautiful and inviting Xmas decoration with large red ribbon or bow elegantly hanging down their CITADEL rooftop sign catching my attention as I drove pass by on nearby I-5! Decided to stop by for 1-2 hours on my way back to NorCal after leaving OC. I was pleasantly surprised! The layout and different variety of shops as shown on the Information Sign impressed me! The place has improved so much better than how I remembered it over a decade ago. Glad I stopped by, but after 1.5 hour later, did not have much time left to enjoy further shopping & exploring as I needed to leave to start my long 6 hours drive back home to NorCal. However, I will definitely be back to Citadel Outlets again the next time back to visit SoCal! read more

Whenever we are in the area, we like to come visit. I guess I like the architecture of it looking like a castle. They are located just up the street from Commerce Casino right off the freeway. Anyway, it had been a few years since I have been and they now have valet parking for $5 that took up a lot of regular parking spaces. With that said, it was difficult to find parking and now it is even worse especially if you come after 12, on any day but weekends are a madhouse. Good selection of stores. Hubs likes the Under Armour outlet. It is all outdoors so expect to walk in the elements. Decent food court, part of it is enclosed. There are bathrooms located throughout but just went in one that was quite nice. It had a large lounge area with chairs and couches if you need to rest. Note that the signs on the outside of the building, do not necessarily correspond where that store is. The signs are more for advertisement as people drive by. read more

Great outlet! Very clean with a variety of stores, and they actually have really good deals. Plan on arriving right when they open at 10am and you can find ample parking. The place gets pretty busy after noon and parking can be harder to obtain. Some stores have wait lines outside, they do move quickly. Our longest wait time was for Crocs, about 10 minutes. Citadel is comparable to Camarillo, but cleaner and they have better deals, more of what you would find at an outlet. read more

Pelted with poop, but still had a nice visit at the Citadel. (Just make sure you don't sit below a flock of pigeons in the food court ) I was pleasantly surprised by the upgrades of this outdoor mall! I haven't been here in years and was happy to see a covered parking structure, nice bathrooms and a clean premises. Bonus: parking is FREE so you can shop leisurely. The Citadel has very inviting decor and decent options for good/quick eats and basically anything you want to buy for your person and your home. read more

I visited the Ann Taylor store. 2 store workers were very kind and helpful but when I approached the check out line, both cashiers left me waiting without saying a word even as they helped no one. I waited patienly but then an extremely rude white older man that was behind me in line told my family & I to "move to the side", pointed a straight arm to the right as he passed ahead of me & went directly to the cashier without being called and demanded a price check on an item. Neither clerks acknowledged how rudely we were treated by this man. Neither apologized for keeping us waiting or for attending us 2nd when we were CLEARLY first in line. I was left in shock and angry. I will return my $200 purchase tomorrow. I should have done so on the spot & told them loudly why. read more

I haven't been here in years but my daughter had to return some clothes that didn't properly fit here so I came along for the ride. Low and behold they have a VANS store plus so many other great places to shop. The atmosphere right before closing time at 9pm was like a pre Xmas shopping spree. Citadel Outlets never disappoints! Great selection of mid to high-end stores at unbeatable prices. The grounds are kept extremely clean, especially the bathrooms. I'm always impressed by the cleanliness of this outlet, but I think since the pandemic, things are just much more sanitary. All staff are wearing masks and most patrons respect social distancing. Lots of parking so no need to worry on fighting for a spot. Haven't eaten at the food court but looks like your run of the mill food court with your usual options. Some notable stores that I love include: Loft, Under Armor, Gap, Kate Spade, Ann Taylor, Fossil, Levi's... I came here on a Tuesday afternoon and it was very pleasant, not too crowded and shops were well stocked and clean. Weekends are definitely much busier. read more

My husband wanted to stop into the 5.11 Tactical store close to the Citadel, so I decided to visit the Outlet as it has been years since my last visit. First stop was the Customer Service desk in the middle of the mall. If you show your AAA card or Yelp check in, you can get a card for additional discounts on top of what the stores offer. Note that this discount applies to many, but not all, of the stores. The Coach Store was 2 levels and it was pretty crowded with customers. Most items were marked 70% off, with an additional 25% off their clearance. Additional 20% applied for spending more than $200. I was looking for a specific Keith Haring handbag that I saw on their website, but after seeing it in person, decided not to get it. I'm not sure if the items at the Outlet were seconds or made specifically for the Outlet, but prices are great if you're in the market for a wallet or handbag. At the Disney Store, there were a lot of items, and the store also had a clearance section from Disney Parks. The coupon book provided an additional 10% off purchases of $40 or more. I enjoyed browsing the Tumi Store. I like the brand, and there were some items at 50% off. Their merchandise is pricey , but the discount makes their luggage and backpacks a little more affordable. Not sure if the items sold at the outlet are the same as in their retail stores, however. Why only 3 stars? Getting to this Outlet is a real pain in the neck. It's located in an industrial area of the City of Commerce and the freeway exit was closed for construction. We lucked out finding g a parking space on Friday, but I'd avoid this place on the weekends. I ended up not finding anything to buy during this shopping trip. For me, it'll be a while before I return. read more

During the week right at opening time is when I enjoy shopping at the Citadel the most. It's hard to drive by the Citadel Outlets on the I-5 particularly during the daytime and not notice it. It mimics an Assyrian palace. Then when the holidays start to roll around traffic moves at a snail's pace when they start putting up the humongous red bow and the World's Tallest Live-Cut Tree. But once they are done, it always looks fabulous! PARKING - is a bit of a challenge on weekends and around the holidays - I recommend the free parking garage (which is perfect when the weather is really hot) - there's also $5 valet near Calvin Klein TIPS - free WI-FI - mobile charging stations near Banana Republic - family restrooms throughout, but no nursing rooms to my knowledge - receive a Savings Passport at the customer service desk near Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory. They usually have even greater discounts at stores like: Armani Outlet Carter's DKNY Helzberg Diamonds kate spade new york Levi's® Michael Kors Puma Skechers & UGG... just name a few. I wouldn't recommend going unless you're really looking to shop, but I suppose it'd be fun to make a day trip out of it, if that were the case. We went to buy a Coach purse as a gift for my mom's friend and, honestly, we could have just gotten the same thing on their website and saved about 4 hours. Again, not sad about going because it was an interesting experience, but I would only go again if I had a BUNCH of presents I needed to buy (or I guess, things for myself), and had about half a day to kill. read more

This is a good mid-end outlet that has Michael Kors, Coach, Kate Spade, Tumi, and Levi's among others. Parking is always really easy in the structure but gets a bit more congested in the lots, but there are constantly customers leaving. Compared to other outlets this place was not crazy busy, especially considering it was a holiday weekend. All the associates are always really helpful, but I have to give a HUGE shoutout to the staff at L'Occitane. I came with my sister for President's Day weekend on Saturday and the ladies were super helpful. They were really attentive and helped us with hand creams, body washes, travel sized products and more! They're definitely good at what they do because I walked out with more than I expected but with so many goodies. And they were so generous with their gifts with purchases as well. Another store I always visit is the lululemon pop-up. There is always so much good discounted merchandise and I ALWAYS walk out with something! I wish there were some high end stores like Prada, Fendi or the like, but I assume that they might not do as well here (or maybe too well?). Other than that, definitely a reliable outlet. read more

I used to go to citadel outlets for years but this year I wasn't so excited. I mean mall is still good but my favorite brands doesn't have anything interesting. Hugo boss didn't had selection at all. We stopped by in late October. The giant, sparkling pink ribbon on the exterior of the main facade fronting the 5 had drawn our attention when we were headed south. Decided to come back and check it out, since it had been a long time since a previous visit. We found a bustling outlet mall, with parking as a challenge. There were so many bargain hunters that it took some time to find a spot for the car. Don't expect to be able to power walk the grounds on a weekend. Instead, you'll be measuring your steps, prepared to stop on a dime if someone cuts you off, or dead stops in front of you with no warning. In a space like this, people should have a turn signal body pack to announce movements to those behind you! Logistics of vehicle and personal movements aside, there's a full slate of outlet shops here. Shoes, clothing, jewelry, gadgets, gifts, food, accessories, electronics, home decor, and more - there's an outlet for that! They offer free entertainment, or maybe "allow" is a better term. We saw several musical acts performing, with CD's for sale. In addition to that giant ribbon promoting breast cancer awareness during October, they also had a coordinated campaign on to raise funds for the beat breast cancer cause. Donations to the program earned shoppers discounts at many of the center's shops. They were in the midst of setting up their gigantic Christmas tree for the holiday season. I understand it's one of the tallest in the nation. Might have to stop by to check it out. The shoppers' backgrounds reflected the United Nations of immigrants and tourists of our United States. From singles to families, all ages, and many cultures, everyone getting along in the pursuit of shopping nirvana. I got the sense that some were seeking bargains before heading to LAX for a flight. This is an updated rating for Citadel Outlet. I just have to give kudos to the management of this mall for providing such a fun shopping experience in Covid Times. There were a lot of people there, and everyone we saw had a mask on. All stores were practicing social distancing and sanitizing their work station. We had an absolute blast shopping there, and we both commented that it was our most 'Normal' "outing" in Covid Times. Most malls are like ghost towns these days. The Citadel is certainly an exception. Everyone we saw was having fun and enjoying themselves. BRAVO ! read more
