We did the dinner for two with three options for tapas, dessert, two glasses of wine. We tried the chopped salad, Asian meatballs, and margarita pizza. All was very good. I've been here a few times now. The wine selection if pretty good and the food is always really tasty. We sat outside on the patio this last time and there were a lot of little bugs and my friend and I both ended up with bugs inside of our drinks. I think next time, we'll probably sit inside! The two of us sat on the patio a few days after restaurants opened up again. The staff is very nice - could not ask for better service. We sat at a round table for two on the patio. It seems the chairs are a bit too high for the table. Felt somewhat uncomfortable. We ordered a nice bottle of Cabernet. The price was decent. For food, we ordered a chopped salad and a margarita pizza to share. The food was disappointing. The pizza was heavily covered with a very sweet balsamic glaze. It was over powering. The pizza crust was the same as you would get on a grocery store frozen pizza. Yuck. The salad was ok. The chunks of chopped ham (or whatever that was) was not good, but the dressing and Parmesan was very nice. Again, the staff and service were great. Maybe next time I'll order a cheese board to play it safe. read more

I love both locations. I have a great experience every time! Service is always friendly and the food, particularly the cheese board, is fantastic. First timers here and we were a group of 6. Made reservations and there's only one spot that can accommodate that many peeps by the front door. Basically, 3 love seats and a coffee table in the middle. Place is rather small, but we were all thoroughly impressed with the tapas and wine selection. I will say that the Brussel sprout flatbread was off the hook. However, picture makes it look bigger than it is. It was on a tortilla I believe. We had the meatballs, pesto flatbread, pork tacos, chicken tacos, ahi crisps, sourdough skillet type dish, cheesecake, and the lava cake. Order lots as the food comes out in waves. This was our first time at a "tapas bar", and it was lovely! Great ambience, the food we tried was good; but don't expect a full size entree! These are tapas, or small plates, after all. Great wine selection; the happy hour(tues-sat 4-6) prices are $6 for a select glasses of wine, and $6 for select tapas.. so you don't need to worry if you're on a budget! A truly wonderful find! My husband and I were in Lincoln and Yelped local restaurants. Fortunately for us, Citizen Vine was highly rated and 2 minutes away. Plus, Tapas sounded very interesting . We ordered 3 Tapas to share- perfect amount of food. The ahi was superb- with unique light sauces, the mac and cheese was to die for, and flat bread margarita- perfection. (We ordered ala carte, but you can have dinner for 2, including wine and dessert for $45.00). There is no doubt, if you are a wine connoisseur AND a foodie--GO FOR IT. They also have a location in Loomis and invite people to taste and critique local wines to add to the menu. Plus, our waitress was attentive and helpful. Went there last night...Tuesday...no more Taco Tuesday...too bad. That was a real plus for Lincoln. Okay...that being said, I ordered the "NEW" Chicken and Bacon Taco...very disappointing. It was tasty, but you get 2 4" [yes 4 inch] round tacos and some chips and dip for $11.00. The tacos were tiny, I mean really tiny and I found 3 slim pieces of chicken, a very small amount of what I believe was avocado and a scant of bacon. Yes I know this is a tapas bar, small plates, but this is ridiculous, $11.00 for that...WOW. And it really was not that good. The wine was okay, another $11.00 for a half a glass of wine. You know, at least when they had Taco Tuesday, you felt like you had dinner when you left, but not last night. Too bad Taco Tuesday is no longer with us. For the price for what I got, I will not be back. The service was okay, had to wait a good 10 minutes for the waitress to come to the table to give us a menu and utensils/napkins. There were three waitresses serving, however, they were more busy talking among themselves then to wait on the tables...O' Well, She smiled and was cordial and friendly when she finally made it over to us. It was rather interesting, the place was practically empty, there were about 4 people at the bar and two tables with 2 or 3 people at each [not including our table of 2]. I was really surprised, I can remember when we use to have to wait for a table, not any more...guess that tells you something. read more

This place is very nice but small. It was packed on a tuesday for happy hour. Granted it was all retired people but still. The wine selection is good. The staff didnt seem to know much about the wines besides the label but that's ok. They have alot if local wine and wine from all over. They have this sangria which is so good. The food honestly is great. The tacos are awesome. The flatbread pizza are super good. They have a cheese and meat platter which is good but too expensive. $23 is way to much when u only get to pick 3 cheeses and meats. But very hood place and I will be going back. read more

I cannot believe I waited this long to check out Citizen Vine! The food tasted great- we order the asian plum meatballs, the chicken tacos and the margherita flatbread. The white wine sangria with sparkling blueberry sparkling wine was delicious! Paul has an amazing palate and he interacts with all the patrons to make sure they are doing well and the live music makes this place a nice place to relax without feeling rushed. Great atmosphere. The wife and I stopped in and were very pleased. She had a red flight and I tried some of the tap beer. They only had one beer at the time, due to goathouse being sold out, but it was good. I've had goathouse before so if they have it when you stop in I highly recommend it. They also said they are adding more tap beers very soon. My wife really enjoyed the flight. The staff and the owner Paul were very helpful for wine novices. They seemed to have a huge selection for even the most particular tastes. They also have a very unique selection of snacks and deserts. Honestly wasn't the best. My girlfriend and I were super disappointed. The portions were tiny. I'm not for massive portions but I found the pretzel to be tiny, along with the flatbread. You spend $16 on flatbread you expect it to be the equivalent of a small pizza... it was tiny. For some reason, outside area was not open and one group had about 15 people in the main center area and they were SO loud. I've worked in restaurants for a decade, music helps drown out overly loud people. My girlfriend and I couldn't hear ourselves talk that group was so loud and while there was a little bit of music, you could hardly hear... up the music volume at least moderately to drown out insanely loud people. Service was super average. No one asked if we wanted more wine. I had to ask for a box and the check because no one asked if we wanted more wine. We would've said no because the group was annoyingly loud but the fact we didn't get an offer... we immediately left to another place to enjoy more wine in a quieter setting. I've been to this place in the past... I even had a bday at your place, but this experience was just not worth doing again honestly, and I live right down the road.
