I have ordered two special dinners from Citrine and the food is excellent. The curbside pick up process could not be easier.

Kiki's Sala: salanova lettuce is unusual but tasty -- like arugula without the bitterness. This is a large portion which you could share with four people as an appetizer. Sugar Snap Pea pizza: unexpected flavors with snap peas, mushrooms, & stracciatella. Table was divided on whether this worked. Cacio e Pepe: this version uses bucatini and is a little creamier than the classic. I ate it all regardless. Grilled Avocado: the name ignores that it includes fried artichokes as well. Satisfying and not too garlicky. Another large portion. The only disappointing item was the Polenta -- a little bland. If you get the Chicken Parm, you only need a half portion. Jack says the best two dishes are the Caesar and Linguini & Clams. They fly in Juniors cheesecake from NY! Full bar, attractive ambiance, and well trained staff. Go to Kiki's.

Once seated, the service only got better. Our waitress continued to be warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming without ever feeling overbearing. What really impressed us was the owner making the rounds to personally greet each table--it added such a personal, heartfelt touch that you don't often see. As for the food, it absolutely delivered. The chicken parm was perfectly cooked with rich, comforting flavors, and the hanger steak was tender, juicy, and full of flavor. Between the exceptional service and the delicious dishes, this was one of those meals that leaves you already planning your next visit.

The menu might be considered small however plenty of excellent choices for everyone's palate. We started with martinis Aviation gin for me & Ketel 1 for my hubs complete with bleu cheeses olives served tall & verrry cold. Our appetizer choice, the deep fried artichokes served with a creamy tasty aioli nicely presented however a bit over salted for our tastes, hence the 4.5 vs 5 stars. We came in to Italica wanting pasta the Bolognese with wild boar/fennel sausage arrived practically overflowing from the bowl, easily could have served 2 or possibly an appetizer to share at the table. My choice the Spaghetti Alio Olio presented bucatini pasta with bread crumbs & pecorino cheese ~ OOOOH MY, sooooo DELICIOUS my bowl was inhaled. Mid meal we ordered the prosciutto ~ fig jam flatbread just perfection the jam adding sweetness in every crunchy bite. To full from our appetizer & pasta we skipped dessert this trip but we'll be back!!!!!! as the drive to Indio from Palm Desert is maybe 30 min (+\~) easy & plentiful FREE PARKING be sure to look for the all stainless patchwork door for entry, once inside relax & enjoy the vibe.

I made reservations at MG's, based on online recommendations, and were welcomed so warmly by the staff and manager. They seated us at a nice, spacious booth and promptly took our drink order. We were greeted by our waiter, George, shortly thereafter and welcomed as first timers. George was incredibly helpful with appetizer suggestions and explaining specials and options for sharing. The wait-staff was incredibly attentive with water and drink refills, bread and butter, continuously asking if we needed anything. I ordered the mushroom soup (for an appetizer) based on the online reviews. And I DON'T like mushrooms!!!! It was AMAZING! (I liked it so much that I went back the next day to get it again! LOL) We shared the Caesar and Mamma Gina salads, cheese ravioli w/ alfredo sauce, shrimp scampi and pasta bolognese. Everything was beyond wonderful! The manager came over to check on us and make sure we were enjoying everything. Our waiter, George, continued to check and see if we were happy with the food and needed anything. I can't say enough positive things about the food, ambiance and experience at Mamma Gina's. I highly recommend dining there for any/all occasions. The dining room has a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere that feels family-friendly while still maintaining an upscale ambiance. It was also nice to be greeted with complimentary bread service--something that seems to be disappearing from many restaurants these days. Service was good overall, although our server could have been a bit more attentive. The manager stopped by our table to check on us, which was appreciated and added a nice personal touch. For my entrée, I ordered the Spaghetti alla Carbonara, and it was fabulous. The smoky pancetta paired perfectly with the sauce, which had just the right amount of creaminess--not too rich and not too dry. My husband chose the Cannelloni alla Fiorentina, homemade crepes filled with fresh ricotta and spinach, topped with tomato sauce and béchamel. He thoroughly enjoyed every bite. Our daughter ordered the filet. It was cooked perfectly and incredibly tender, though the flavor was a bit more subdued than expected. To finish our meal, we shared the Crostata al Cioccolato, a flourless chocolate tart with an almond butter crust. It was absolutely delicious and the perfect ending to the evening. We highly recommend Ristorante Mamma Gina and only wish we had a restaurant like this in our hometown.

We didn't have reservations and requested to be seated inside. There was a little awkward first impression with the hostess who told us that there was only one inside table left in the back corner. She didn't come across very friendly when we asked if we could see it before deciding if we wanted to sit there or not. I understand they were busy but she was a bit short with us. We were seated in Isabel's section and she more than made up for it. What a gem! She was so friendly and very nice. She made sure to check on us often and we had a lovely time at your restaurant because of her. We are giving this review 5 stars because of Isabel. The seared ahi tuna salad and the ahi tuna nachos were both delicious. The fish was fresh and so very tender with a light dressing. The pulled pork tacos were good too. The brownie dessert was a bit dry though.

Instead, she bit into a sharp chicken bone hidden in the salad--something that absolutely should never happen. This wasn't a small, soft fragment either; it was sharp enough to cause immediate, severe pain and pierced her gums. This is not just a minor oversight--it's a major failure in basic food safety and kitchen preparation. There is no excuse for serving food in this condition, especially something as simple as a salad. We trusted this restaurant to provide a safe meal, and that trust was completely broken. What makes this even worse is that the situation could have been far more dangerous. If swallowed, this could have led to choking or internal injury. No customer should ever have to worry about that when ordering a salad. I strongly urge the restaurant to take a hard look at their food prep standards and quality control, because this is unacceptable. Until then, I cannot recommend this place to anyone.

It clearly caters to a sophisticated crowd--very similar in vibe to their Calabasas location. While parking is accessible in the rear, it can get congested during peak season. The menu is extensive with plenty of excellent selections, though the pricing is definitely premium. For instance, a Cobb salad topped with fish can easily exceed $45; while the quality is high, that's a significant jump over nearby staples like Daily Grill. Service was friendly but lacked consistency; our server disappeared mid-meal without a hand-off, requiring us to flag down other staff. Overall, it's a bright, airy, and stylish spot well worth a visit, provided you're prepared for the 'luxury' price point.

As our host walked us back to our table. I noticed how beautiful, classy, chic, superb, super clean it was, and so wear the restrooms. This Italian restaurant is huge, Everything inside was super elegant! As we sat down, we were greeted by our waiter Jack. Jack asked us if we had any questions, he answered them all beautifully! So we ordered Bocconcini di Mozzarella Caprese, Shrimp Dijon della Casa, 2 Linguine alle Bolognese, Fresh Minestrone Zuppa, Gnocchi al Pesto, fettuccini Alfredo with chicken, Fettuccine Alfredo with sausage, Risotto Tutto Mare, Risotto con Funghi with chicken, 2 order king crab legs. Their signature Bread is so delicious!! Everything was so mouth watering & highly delicious!! Everything explodes in your mouth, the savory tastes, I wished I could have eaten more, I was full! I also want to make a note, I normally do not eat crab at all. Once I tried & tasted the king Crab I was floored it's the best crab I have ever had! On top of that, Uriel was constantly making sure are glasses of waters, sodas, alcohol were always full without us asking us he was on it ! Castelli's is now my #1 Italian place to go to! Highest quality of their food, portion size was incredible, hospitality amazing! Their price points are so spot on! I highly recommend anyone who looking a a fabulous & delicious place to eat please come here! Jack & Uriel were so polite, kind, sweet, caring, super down to earth ! These are your rare diamonds please treasure them well! I would love to Thank Castelli's & their staff for our wonderful Mother's Day Dinner, with deliciousness & awesomeness on the side! I would especially love to Thank Jack, Uriel, Juan for making sure we had everything we needed ! You guys Rock! We definitely will be back again!! Can't wait!! I noticed the restaurant closes at 9 so it was already interesting to see they were taking reservations past 815. We got there and were greeted very nicely. Sat down and was enjoying the atmosphere, we had a lovely, patient, accommodating waiter Jose. About 20 minutes past by and we were suddenly told by our host that hats weren't allowed in the restaurant. Everything was fine and dandy we tried to make ends meet and work around that. My bf left to get something more appropriate. Few things... it is not posted/listed on the restaurant establishment or website, OR YELP that there is any sort of dress code. We also weren't told while entering/before being seated about this "rule". Throughout the time waiting for my bf to figure something out, it felt very rushed to order. I am not here to complain about the rule, it just would've been nice to see it listed anywhere beforehand OR we could've been informed before sitting down. Mainly writing this review for others, especially those visiting from out of town of this "policy" before having an awkward/rushed experience. Food wise: complimentary garlic bread definitely didn't taste fresh. Tasted as if old bread was microwaved. We ordered calamari as an app, and it was very crispy and tasty!! I ordered the spaghetti bolognese with meatballs, the pasta was overcooked. If the noodles were al dente i think it would've been a solid meal. Also ordered cocktails, just ordered normal margaritas. Do not expect craft cocktails! Margaritas were very sweet and tasted very much like margarita mix. Overall, i believe the calamari was the star of tonight, and a special shout out to Jose!
