The food is very good. Unfortunately they are closing on June 13th for the summer. I ordered a fish with bucatini pasta but they were out. I switched to linguini and the meal was delicious. My wife ordered the Chicken Parmigiana which is usually our go to meal and it did not disappoint. I like that you have a choice of pasta or spinach and if you ask they will give you both in a smaller portion of each. read more

Stopped here for dinner on our way home from Indian Wells on a Saturday night. Didn't have dinner reservations but was seated immediately The place was hustling and bustling with customers inside and out. Asked our server for recommendations and boy was I glad we took them. All dishes were great but I especially enjoyed the Linguine Con Gamberi E Funghi. Make sure you pick the white wine sauce. I used the bread to soak up the sauce and could've drank the sauce! The house made pasta elevated this dish even more. Had a taste of the other two dishes and they were also delicious. Linguine Salsicce Arrabbiata - spicy and great dish if you like sausage. A cozy long time Italian eatery known for it's house made pasta dishes and quite an extensive menu. Our service was good for a busy Saturday night. The place was completely full with what appeared to be many regulars. After trying a few dishes we understand why. The calamari appetizer was just okay, being kind of overly chewy, but a really special dipping gravy was superb and saved the dish. my mate and I split two entrees, chicken Parmesan (best I've ever had) and Sauteed Branzino. Each were served with a side of pasta in a luscious gravy and a side of sauteed spinach with garlic and olive oil. Superb on both counts. One of our guests had fettuccine Alfredo with homemade pasta. He practically licked the plate raving about it. We ended with a shared creamy rich tiramisu. It is worth getting a reservation and going again and again. A couple of suggested improvements would make it 5 stars. One is the bread is boring. Need some artisan baking and perhaps an olive tapenade Two, the Parmesan on the table was the powder variety you can find in any grocery. Elevate this to some good Pecorino or Parmesan Reggiano and I'd stand in line to get a table. Congratulations on 35 years doing fine Italian. Our second visit, and we'll be back for more. read more

We came to Palm Desert shopping for a birthday present,we decided to eat before starting to shop. We did not have a reservation but were at the business right at opening. We were seated right away by Ally who was also our server. I ordered the Sciue Scuie spaghetti and my wife had the veal piccata I ordered the Chianti and my wife had an iced tea. The food was simple but the quality was excellent. I would recommend them highly and I can't wait to go back in for dinner. Friendly service, well priced. We split a Caesar salad. Asked for extra anchovies. Salad came with none, they were out. Mild dressing, small boring salad. Ladies split a chicken Milanese which was very dry. $5 split charge. I had pasta with sausage, requested bucatini, got linguini. Tasty, huge portion. Shredded cheese on the table was dry and tasted like cardboard. Overall an adequate Italian/American meal. Doubt that we will return. read more

Mom, puppy and I had a very enjoyable evening here last night. We have never been here because it's sort of hidden. Yelp reviews were right about having an older crowd but the service was good and so were the prices for what you get. We got an ad in the desert Sun paper and decided to try it. After reading the reviews on Yelp I decided to order the spiciest dish because most people thought the food lacked flavor. I loved my pasta which had lots of flavor with the spicy sauce and sausage. Mom liked her raviolis well enough but would try something else next time. The bread they served with the olive oil could be better but all and all we enjoyed our meal and we will be back. I made reservations for a party of eight and we were seated promptly. The whole place was packed, which was a good thing, but a little noisy. Our waiter was knew his name was Christian. But other staff servers came by and helped him and made sure everything was going smoothly, which it was. The prices for the meals were very reasonable and so were the prices for the wine. We had three bottles of wine, all red Italians. My ravioli radicchio was pretty good. It was stuffed with spinach and lots of cheese. Someone had eggplant Parmigiano, I also had caprice he and my husband had a wedge salad. I shared the caprese and the calamari. No desserts. We were too stuffed. read more

Such a little gem hidden in Palm Desert. It is a wonderful Italian restaurant with a diverse menu. Each item is done so well, the flavors are so rich, with servings so generous. To top it off, they make the dishes with such fresh ingredients, that it feels like the healthiest Italian food I've ever had, besides meals I've had in Italy. We've only done take out here, so I imagine the food is even better straight from the kitchen. We reserved a table for 2 for Valentine's Day dinner and on arrival, there were several inside tables available, but the young hostess gave us a harsh and abrupt greeting and tried to seat us at what she said was the only table available... it was basically the most ridiculous table halfway in one room and halfway in another, no room for either of us to even sit down, and had another table's handicap walker leaning against it. We thought we were being punked, so we left and went to another Italian restaurant. We had previously had positive experiences at Le Donne, now not sure we'll return anytime soon. read more

Chef's Kiss! 1000% the most delicious Italian food in the city. I have so many things on the menu that I love. The Papardelle Bolognese is my favorite, though. The restaurant is decorated beautifully and you are always able to make a reservation for dinner. I have been multiple times and never had a bad experience. Le Donna Cucina doesn't make really good chicken marsala. I like really good Italian restaurants (which are quite impossible to find in the Coachella Valley). I don't like Le Donna Cucina. The service was excellent, in that the server was friendly, delivered the drinks and food quickly, and she was very efficient. Unfortunately, we ordered fried calamari. When it was brought to the table it looked like frozen calamari was put in the microwave. It was pale, tasteless, and the sauce was also tasteless. We returned it immediately! This dish should never have left the kitchen! The veal piccata was drenched in liquid and had negative plate appeal. This place use to be fairly decedent, over a several years period when we frequented here. Sadly, tonight I had one of the worst meals I've ever had in over 50 years dining in the desert. Apparently the wait staff and cooks can no longer comprehend the English language very well. I made a simple order of Angel Hair Pasta with a white wine sauce, First order came out with Fettuccini and shrimp. After sending back second order came out with Angel Hair pasta, except it was smothered in a red sauce which I'm anergic to. Spectacular food! Highly recommend the gnocchi with pesto. We ordered take out while in the area. Everything we ordered was hot fresh and delicious. I have been coming here with my family for years and we love it! I usually start with the Insalata Verde and recently I have been enjoying the Farfalle Guillermo for the entree.
