If you are ever in the Indio/ Palm Springs/ Coachella Valley, this is a MUST TRY. Do yourself a favor and have lunch here or order take out. This is a casual cafe located in a large strip mall/plaza. Lina, the owner was delighted to see us and we shared with her that we were not locals but were curious and decided to give it a try and the food and service did not disappoint! The Morrocan mint iced tea is a blend made with rose water, cardamom, mint, orange blossoms and refreshing. After my colleague and I finished lunch, the rest of our team met us there and also ordered here. This is arguably among the best Middle Eastern food I've eaten. We ordered the garbanzo bean salad (wow), this was so flavorful and fresh. We also shared the chicken shwarma and gyro plate. The gyro had some fat to it but I've never had gyro like this. The plate came with pita, hummus, house salad and rice. The chicken was also yummy. The plate came with garlic sauce and tsatziki sauce. I wish we lived much closer but alas, we live in LA. We decided two stop by on our way home because of the good ratings. This a definitely a whole in the wall. Small, ac barely working and one person taking orders and cooking it. Super nice guy. My friend and I ordered the grill plate for 3 with kufta, gyro, and chicken shawarma. We also ordered 3 baklava. The lady who welcomed us was so friendly. It was as if we were guests in her home. She was playful and joyful in presenting this lovely meal to us. We enjoyed all the flavors of each food item. The garlic sauce is powerful and punchy. The gyro was thickly sliced and very meaty. Worth the Stop! We were heading home from Arizona and craving Mediterranean food when we came across this spot and wow, I'm so glad we did. It was SO good and absolutely worth the stop. We ordered pickup and everything was ready right on time, which we really appreciated since we were on the road. We ordered the chicken shawarma and the beef plate, and both were incredible. The flavors were amazing, everything tasted fresh, and the portions were generous. You can tell the food is made with care. Omg I absolutely love this place. The staff is so wonderful, every time I come in she has a smile on her face and is happy to see me. This is seriously the best gyro meat I've ever had by far. I haven't had anything that comes close and I have tried plenty of places. The beef is bigger chucks, the wrap or the fries are absolutely killer, I like the shawarma as well! Very Lebanese inspired and I honestly can't recommend this place enough. The establishment is very small, I count 12 seats total, so you would be best to come in for take out.. but if you get the chance to sit inside and chat the staff will make your day. Had to shout out Wrap Shack because the experience was honestly amazing. From the moment we walked in, the hospitality stood out. The staff were super welcoming, attentive, and just had that genuine, good-vibes energy that makes a place feel way better than your typical food stop. You can tell they actually care about the customers, not just pushing orders. Food aside (which was great), the service is what really made it memorable. Once again, the lovely people at Wrap Shack have come through and catered us the loveliest Christmas Day meal. We adore their grape leaves, Dolma, hummus, Tabouleh, and of course bakhlava. My son and my husband enjoyed the Kefta Kabob and I will be working on my gyro plate today as well. Last year we had family come in for our first Christmas in Palm Desert and our experience was so great. This lovely family is always there to make the holiday bright. Delicious food & service. Pretty much a to go place. We ordered falafel wraps with pickles. Fresh moist falafel & the wrap was large, fresh, and very tasty. (Not pita bread) The owner made our food and she showed us a tray of Kibbie she was making to fry. They have other choices of food also. Very friendly owner & helpful about different foods. Lina the owner is so sweet and welcoming , I was scrolling on yelp looking for Mediterranean options , The craving for it is undying and the selections in the valley are pretty slim . Small, family-owned place; the folks are from Lebanon and very friendly. The food is just OK, alas: I found the falafel dry and tasteless, kind of a disappointment, especially considering it was cooked to order. The other fillings in the wrap (greens and onions) were kind of skimpy as well although she did put some hummus in it so it wouldn't be too dry. Nothing spectacular, alas. read more

Thanks to Yelp for find this place, we were not aware of it. As fans of Mid-East cuisine we entered this very small pretentious takeout-oriented place with little expectation; we exited it 20 minutes later having spent barely $50 with a laden bag of variety. The surprisingly large menu is all made in the place by the Lebanese owner. At home we spread out our Mid-East buffet and were delighted by 2 excellent schwarma wraps, 4 side-dishes, and a pile of pita. All were extremely well done, delicious - a quantity far more than we could eat. Clearly were were surprised and pleased. For an inexpensive multiple-sampled Mid-East treat this little place is not to be missed. We will surely be back. read more

The food at Wrap Shack is amazing! It is authentic and delicious. Rivals homemade meals that would be too labor intensive and time consuming to make. We tried and loved both the chicken and beef shawarma, the tabbouleh and spinach samosas, snacked on fig leaf wraps and eggplant dips (can't remember the names of these dishes) plus hummus. The naan is delightful as well. Every single item we tried was fresh and delicious. We are so excited to have found this gem in the desert and can't wait to dine there again. read more

I order the chicken shawarma plate, rice was unseasoned, chicken was very dry, and hummus didn't taste fresh. I ordered over yelp and when I walked in they hadn't even printed out my order to start it which was unfortunate but wasn't that big of a deal-- I only had to wait 15 minutes. Julian's Food is an amazing Mediterranean…read more Like most Middle Eastern cuisine places, they have a ton of naturally vegetarian and vegan friendly dishes including tabouli, grape leaves (veggie), falafel, pickled veggies, roasted veggies, hummus, baba ganoush, tahini, pita and more. Julian is an amazing chef with a great staff to help him run the show. They do private events, but there pita and butter is Villagefest every week in Downtown Palm Springs. They have a great menu and system to keep things flowing. All the food is fresh, prepared with a flawless system and care. This was my first real full meal of the day so I totally spaced on taking pics, but stay tuned for next time, hopefully in the fall as I should be back a few times before the end of the year. They have an active Facebook page where you'll see update occasionally but would probably do well on TikTok and an updated Instagram. I hope to see them continue to thrive and served up some of the best food in the low desert. Loved the vegetarian plate!

Also, not sure why they served our kebabs on the same plate. My wife and I each ordered our own kebabs and expected our own individual plates, but everything was served together. Which made it even more difficult to eat as we were both having to reach to the center of the table to pick at our food. The Bazaar rice was a huge portion, which was great and all, but much of the rice was very hard.
