First, they had no boxes that fit a tall two layered cake which left the cake exposed. The cake was immediately put in the refrigerator until the next day. The top cake started to slant, the decoration bled into the frosting, frosting was not smooth in areas and the red color faded. I asked for Bavarian cream filing in one layer and got vanilla. One decoration fell before serving. I was so embarrassed that I did not even serve the cake that day. It went back in the frig until the next day when we cut it and realized issues with the cake itself. The vanilla cake was dry and the filing was wrong. At their request I sent an email with the issues and asked them to review and respond. No response, so I called. I am not sure who I talked to, but she said that she didn't need to respond to my email, and that they had cameras and the cake was perfect when it left the bakery and that it WAS MY FAULT. The pictures that I sent showing them what I was talking about only confirmed to them that it was my fault. I must have left it out all night for this to happen and what do I want them to do about it. Well, that was the wrong thing to say to a customer. Got me on the defensive and voices were raised. What I was looking for is not to get reimbursed; although, now after this conversation, yes; but for them to at least have some compassion and not be on the defensive and placing blame on the customer. I will never return or recommend this bakery for any of our events.

I told the lady in the cashier that their menu needs to be more truthful and indicate that it'll be corned beef hash and not sliced corned beef you would find in more legit delis. If they advertise 1/3 lb of corned beef and they deliver 1/4 lb of corned beef hash, they need to indicate so in their menu. I don't believe I shall return due to the bad food experience I had, but I am more of a picky when it comes to food since I am a very particular Chef.
