    I called City Appliance San Marcos, Jacob Rodriquez is running the company now he came the day I called and showed up on time. Jacob tested the wall socket to my dryer and discovered the voltage coming from the outlet that is connected to the breaker box was not producing enough electric power to heat up my 5 year old dryer! He saved the day with the right diagnosis and there was nothing wrong with my dryer! Inside the breaker box the wire to the dryer breaker had come loose easy repair. Thank you again Jacob for your help and support I will be calling you at City Appliance in the future for any appliance problems or repairs!

    I bought a used GE fridge from these folks years ago. Suddenly the water line froze, and my home…read morewarranty company said it was a manufacturer defect and wouldn't do anything about it. I called Guaranteed (knowing that I was well out of their warranty period) and Kristen immediately identified it as a simple fix with a part I could come by and pick up and install myself for just a few bucks. It worked a treat for a couple more years, and I reluctantly called yet again. Once again, the owner did not give up and said she'd give me the same part again free as long as I promised to update them on whether it was successful or not. I ultimately (after experimentation) found that the freezer was just set a little too cold and that has mitigated the iced water line, so I returned the part to them unused. Needless to say, I've run out of stars to compliment them. I will purchase again without hesitation knowing that they will stand by their appliances, and charge reasonable rates to fix them if they have issues.

I continued to get the run around and they weren't gonna come look at it because of her claim that it was going out. My nephew came and took a look at it and fixed the problem easily. This business is a joke and the woman doing this job are very rude and can't do this job properly!!!!!!

    I was not impressed with Appliance Express. I contacted them because my 3 year old Whirlpool oven…read more(that was in the house when I bought it) kept randomly losing power. I wasn't sure if it was an electrical issue in the house or a problem with the oven, but I started with the appliance. I made an appointment with Appliance Express--they couldn't tell me until the day before what time they'd come out, so I had to allocate the entire day to stay home. The day before they texted me with a time range, so narrowed it a bit. On the day of the appointment the repair guy called me when he was on his way, which was helpful. The repair guy was very nice but didn't strike me as being terribly knowledgeable about our particular oven. However, he suggested that it needed a software update (which required first connecting the oven to our WiFi). He gave me a phone number to Whirlpool support who could assist in connecting the oven to our WiFi and downloading the update. He barely touched the oven, other than to look at the current software version on the display. But for that helpful little piece of advice about needing a software update I was charged $162.36 by Appliance Express. They could have just told me over the phone, before someone ever came out, to try that solution first. I got the oven connected to our WiFi (I'm a retired IT guy and am very intentionally judicious about what I connect to our home network as I'm very aware of the security and performance/bandwidth implications of connecting devices willy-nilly). Once connected, I had trouble getting the update to install. The repair guy watched for a little while and then left. I called the Whirlpool number and they were very helpful in getting it sorted out (it turned out there was something they had to initiate on their end). After the software update I have had no problems with the appliance (other than I think it's stupid that an oven requires Internet connectivity and software updates to function). So, in the end Appliance Express identified the likely problem so that I was able to take care of it myself, but they charged me $162.36 for that little nugget of information. They could have just suggested over the phone that I try that first before they came out.
