On November 2016, I leased my very first Lexus Blue Vortex Metallic CT200h F-Sport. Gosh, I love my own birthday gift to myself. By March 2017, a pebble hit my windshield and my heart broke along with that cracking sound it made. I was shopping online to find the nearest auto glass shop. I found City Auto Glass with great reviews and called right away. I spoke with Mike and gave me a quote to repair the chip. Trust me, it's cheaper than the other shops. He came over to meet me in our complex's parking lot and fixed it right away. I knew that the crack was wider and it's not going to hold. He did tell me to give him a call and he'll give me a credit upon replacement of my windshield when that time comes. In 3 days, the crack was getting longer. You know, when you hit a pot hole and every bump in the road is not good on your chipped windshield? That was stressful, really! I called Mike and he is aware of the rainy days coming up and we were both waiting for the dryer days in March. Then, our schedule won't meet, but he was calling me and checking up on me making sure my windshield replacement order was still in his radar. We finally made an appointment were both our schedules allowed us to meet up. He came over again to our unit's parking lot. There he made my brand new car new again. Great work with the highest regards to my time, knowing I was present and watching. He explained what he was doing and kept my car clean. He was done in 90 minutes. WOW! Really, that was like nothing ever happened to my windshield. My neighbor stopped by and told me that his girlfriend paid so much for a chip on her car's windshield. I told him immediately to call Mike instead. Now I'm telling you that I would definitely call on him again when needed, and I will certainly share my experience with everyone I know. DO NOT GO TO THE GUY FOR HELP. This guy replaced my windshield and lied to me and said it was heated like the original one. Called another company and they looked up the numbers on the windshield and told me it wasn't heated. I moved to mammoth lakes so having my windshield wipers not freeze to my windshield helps a lot. He flat out lied to me and when I called him back and told him he lied, he then proceeded to tell me it was hooked up and the wires weren't plugged in to make it work. I asked him if I could pay the difference and change it to the heated one. He said call me back in a few days when the the first windshield dried. I called him and he said he be outa town for a week, he claimed his family members passed away from covid and he would be gone. Turned out the dealership would've have done to for cheaper anyways. read more

This guy, Mike Toma said that he would replace my windshield glass if it was to have a crack in the future. So unfortunately, I had a crack that appeared on my windshield a couple of weeks later. I told Mike and even sent him images of proof and he told to not to worry about it. So, then weeks later one of piece of equipment that was mounted on the windshield fell off and with it peeled a crack of glass with it. I asked Mike over the phone and immediately, he began to deflect and accuse me that someone placed weight on the piece or someone tried to dismount it from the inside, even though I had showed him the old texts that I had sent him weeks before as proof. A week later, Mike showed up and I asked him to stand by his word and service that he had mentioned from the beginning and he told me that he couldn't help me and decided to walk away from my residence and drive off. BEWARE! BE ALERT! Make sure this guy writes down on the receipt or something in writing. What a scammer and cheapskate. The worst part of this, is that he works with many local dealerships across the city. I will be reporting him to the BBB. read more

He uses cheap Chinese glass that is thinner and inferior to the OEM glass, but the real reason that I'm updating this review is that he advertises and quotes a great a great price, and then, just as he's starting, he adds a hundred or two hundred to the job (for reasons old glass to difficult to remove) and tells you to take it or leave it and also demands that you write a review, right then and there. Had my windshield changed out on a spare vehicle that rarely gets driven about 5 months ago. The owner (Mike?) said in my initial phone conversation with him that he would provide a Pilkington (US) windshield installed for $200. He arrived that same day with a Fuyao (China) product instead, claiming it was just as good (but not cheaper?). This morning, I went outside to find the windshield cracked from top-to-bottom, right up the middle of the windshield. *** The crack starts beneath the weatherproofing strip *** and there is no evidence of any impact (rocks, etc.) anywhere along the crack. In other words, this was either a defective windshield, or a defective installation. So I just called him to ask what he could do for me. He said he could re-install a new windshield for the same price. No discount, no warranty, nada. Hmmm....I don't think so. In addition, Mike did not replace any of the seals (weatherstripping) on the windshield with new ones, and there was excessive road noise after the installation. When I called him about it, he recommended putting silicon in the cracks. So...I just had All-Star replace the windshield for a second time, this time through my insurance (I still had a high deductible, but I wanted higher quality work!). All-Star 1) Installed a PILKINGTON, 2) replaced the weatherstripping on the top and bottom, 3) provided a LIFETIME warranty on the installation (labor) when it's a "stress crack" like what happened to mine (whereas Mike did not honor his "lifetime" warranty at all...!). And guess what? It was only $50 more out-of-pocket for me. So.... I should have known better than to allow Mike's initial bait-and-switch...he seemed like a nice guy. He also could have replaced the seals. He also could have warrantied his work the same way. Well I've learned my lesson. I would strongly recommend avoiding this installer. read more

Of course, I wish I hadn't needed to get my window replaced, but the thieves who broke into my van and stole a backpack full of car supplies had other plans for me. I called around to get quotes, and when I spoke with Mike I knew he was the one! He knew what I needed, and was so quick!
