We visited on a weekday morning--the server was super friendly and efficient and the breakfast was delicious. I had the Pancakes 2x2 and it was 2 meals for me! Great Caffé Umbria coffee, kept refilled. My partner had a vegetarian burrito, that he enjoyed. The restaurant was spotless and very cute. We'll be back!

Epitome of Chicago local Diner. Easy seating, great service and amazing food. The French toast was loaded with fresh fruit sweet but not too sugary. Eggs and sausage were perfect. Daughter order a Mexican Breakfast. Very tasty huge portions.

The food is generally solid, and usually the service is pretty good. But today??? Holy crap, the service was awful. It was not busy at all (I came in around 3:45 in the afternoon). Stood for about 5 minutes waiting to be seated, despite two employees being within 10 feet. I finally was seated, and I ordered a Diet Coke which came promptly, then waited at least 15-20 minutes for someone to take my order. My waitress (short, dark hair in a bun) just stood around chatting with other employees, wandering around, etc. I think I was the only customer in the dining room, but they just completely ignored me. I finally walked up to the bar and asked to pay for my diet Coke, as I had no intention of waiting around forever to order food. I probably could have just walked out without paying without them even noticing, given how inattentive the employees were, but I'm too honest to do that. I really hope this was just a one-off and that the service overall hasn't gone downhill consistently over the last 6 months or so. But I was super disappointed at how bad the service sucked today, given that there were about 7 times as many employees as there were customers when I went. I'm giving 2 stars in recognition of previous good experiences I've had here, but today's experience....ooof. Do better, Rockwell's.

They had a terrific Valentine's Day dinner $95 for two people which included a small amuse-bouche each, an appetizer to share, individual entrees, and a dessert to share. We loved the crispy broccolini and were fighting over it. The entrees were huge portions and packed with flavor. I consider myself a scallop connoisseur and in all the restaurants we've ever been in, these scallops were cooked beautifully. They had a perfect sear to them on the outside but cooked perfectly on the inside as well, 10/10 no notes this is the scallop I will compare all future scallops to. And the duck confit, oh my...we also fought over this dish which paired incredibly well with beans to our surprise. Chocolate cake had a beautiful strawberry sauce on the bottom. Everything was incredible including the service. Cobblestone remains our favorite in the area and is loved by all the locals. Thank you for a perfect Valentine's Day dinner.

It was not an "Amuse bouche" which is a single bite item, it was much more but I'm not complaining about that! The appetizer was grilled octopus over sweet potato mash. I learned that day that sweet and grilled octopus is not a good mix. It was nearly gross. I picked the octopus up and tried to brush off as much of the sweet potatoes and possible. The octopus tasted good but was over cooked. My main was the branzino. It was charred to a crisp and full of bones. It did not taste good and was extremely difficult to eat. I did not taste the German chocolate cake for dessert but was told it was dry and people barely touched it. My husband and others are our table got short rib goulash, which was served like a steak with gravy. It wasn't tender like short rib should be. He said the flavor was good at least. Someone got the fish and chips and said it was flavorless. Someone else got the burger and said it was also charred and over cooked. Over all, pretty disappointed. Cute place with decent service. Hopefully this was just an off night.

The focaccia was fine, though it would have been better served with a higher-quality butter or cheese on the side for dipping. The pappardelle pasta was really good, the green sauce in particular was amazing. The wedge salad was solid, but nothing to write home about. The steak was good. The Chicken Vesuvio had a great presentation and tasted delicious as well.

The restaurant was definitely busy on a Friday night, and we made a reservation for a 7:45 seating and were taken to our table right away. We loved the play on an old neighborhood bar with the fun red and white glass chandeliers that you would find at any watering hole in the city. Funny enough, we discovered Void via a Tik Tok video and came specifically to try the Agnolotti. This is by far one of the best pasta dishes I've ever had. The sweet potato paired with ricotta, kimchi, scallion and toasted sesame are an amazing touch and play on this type of pasta. We additionally ordered both the house made focaccia and the Spaghetti Uh-O's. These two items are definitely what Void is known for, and we loved both of them. The focaccia was super fresh, and the side of butter with honey was incredible. The spaghetti came in a fun little branded can, which of course added a nice touch to the dish. We ordered several cocktails on their menu, and were so full by the end that we did not order the dessert. The staff was super friendly during the entirety of our time at the restaurant. One item we wished we try was the chicken, which happened to be one of the staff's favorite. We will definitely be back to try that soon. Cheers!

We started off with chips and salsa, and the salsa was a bit too spicy for me, but everyone else enjoyed it. We started with the Chicken Poblano - a savory dish with creamy poblano sauce mixed with chicken and sliced poblano peppers topped with corn. We all enjoyed it. Most of the reviews recommended the enchiladas and we ordered a variety of them. The Enchiladas Poblanos stuffed with chicken and cheese. The poblano sauce was rich and smoky. We also had the Enchiladas Morita. They were filled with shrimp and cheese. It was so flavorful and the morita chile added so much flavor. Each dish was served with a side jicama salad. Their special was a shrimp pasta with lobster. It came with full lobster tail. The sauce was creamy and flavorful. It is also BYOB, which is a nice option. Service was excellent, friendly offered recommendations. This is probably one of my favorite Mexican restaurants and highly recommend.

This was a great, cozy spot to try a different take on Filipino food. Being a Filipina myself, I'm…read moretorn between labeling it because I feel like some of the dishes are more Filipino-inspired while others are definitely elevated-Filipino. Either way, it's a good place to try a twist on your favorites or dip into something new. I especially appreciated that there were a lot of vegetarian options which is hard to find in Filipino food, like our "veggie" lumpia usually has small bits of meat in it, lol. We were warmly welcomed, seated relatively quickly, and the service was attentive and timely. The place is cozy and on the dark side so my pics aren't the greatest. We had the Inihaw ng Talong which is basically grilled eggplant that came brushed with sunflower butter, loaded with tomatoes and garnished with cilantro. This was a nice start but a small one. The eggplant was smoky and creamy and complimented by the bright tomatoes. The Satti Manok, skewered grilled chicken, with cornbread sticky rice was good, but I've definitely had better for a lot less. This is usually a staple you'll find at any Filipino family's BBQ but the cornbread sticky rice was a surprisingly nice treat. If you've had this before, somewhere else, I'd skip it to try something else. The Sinigang Caesar was such a nice twist that totally made sense! My only complaint is that it was served with Bibb lettuce instead of a crunchy romaine. I enjoyed this so much I've been making my Caesar dressings with a sprinkling of Sinigang powder now and my family loves it. The Kare Kare gulay was nice and I enjoyed it. The charred cabbage gave it some extra depth that I think is needed to pull this off because this sauce is made with sunflower butter instead of peanut butter. This was great for me because I'm allergic to peanuts but it definitely changes the flavor, making it a little sweeter and lighter. I wish they would've made this with cashew or almond butter to keep it closer to the rich, deep flavors of a Kare Kare. The Maitake mushrooms -- I absolutely loved. I've never had this before and it reminded me of a good Laing which is also made with a spiced coconut sauce. I definitely could've eaten this all to myself with the garlic rice. Yes, the garlic rice is good but I was surprised to see it go for $6 a bowl. Rice is usually so cheap, if not complementary in Filipino restaurants and garlic rice is quite common, especially for breakfast (yes, I sabreakfast). It was cooked perfectly though. The mango float was delicious. Not sure why it's called a float but it was mango and mascarpone ice cream nestled in a mango sauce and topped with a delicate, crumbly butter cookie. I will definitely come back for more if I'm ever in the area again. I'd be excited to try other things on their menu.

To start, we ordered some lumpia's ($6) which I feel like is a must at a Filipino restaurant. They were delicious and a good way to start the meal. We ordered the Sizzling Sisig ($18) and Tortang Talong ($28) as our entrees. We got a bowl of garlic fried rice which is an extra dollar instead of regular white rice. We were surprised that the Sisig was a little sweet. We were hoping it would taste a little more savory. For the garlic fried rice, we also wanted it be more garlicky. We didn't really taste much garlic. For the Tortang Talong, we didn't know what to expect but we didn't care too much for it. It's a unique dish but we thought that it was on the sweeter end than savory. For the dessert, we ordered the mango float ($11) which we loved. It was a great way to end the night. The syrup was delicious and had a good mix of the crunch with the biscoff and softness of the ice cream. Overall, we were glad we tried it, but it wouldn't be my go to for Filipino food.
