The cleaner also asked me to request more service hours, which doesn't make sense -- I shouldn't have to pay extra for tasks that should already be included in a deep cleaning package. They did clean the floors, but they didn't touch the blinds, and they didn't have the right tools to reach or wipe higher cabinet doors. Overall, I'm very unsatisfied and confused about what they consider "standard cleaning" versus "deep cleaning." People should be aware of this before booking.

The ladies were thorough and efficient. We regularly use this service in our three bedroom home that has two adults, one child, and three cats and they leave the home tidy and refreshed. Also- This is NOT a criticism as accidents happen but the handling deserves praise: several months ago with a different team, a cable in my husbands office was accidentally damaged during cleaning and the service was quick in their response remedy the error and it was handled professionally and quickly. One of the main reasons I chose Orchid was because the cleaners bring their own vacuum and cleaning supplies, which most other companies in the NYC area either refuse to or charge an exorbitant fee. Next cleaning - very good. Today - another terrible cleaning. When the cleaner arrived I told her my apartment is basically clean and the main reason I hire the services to help with the duvet cover and make the bedding look nice. She said she would try to put the cover duvet cover on the down comforter. I've never heard anybody say they will try. This seems pretty standard. I then had to spend 10 minutes with her, showing her how to do things like empty the vacuum cleaner where everything was even though it was all in a closet. All things a cleaner should know. I received a message all was good and the cleaner was able to but the duvet on (again- why is this even a question). I cam home to a duvet cover as a top sheet, the bed a sloppy mess and my apartment not cleaned. The company did reimburse me for the cleaning, but that's not what I wanted. I wanted a clean apartment. So now I will be cleaning my apartment this evening.
