There's no favoritism amongst the customers. Everyone gets treated with the same respect and energy they bring. Me and my son now get our haircuts together, I get mine cut by Pedro (an absolute master of his craft) and my son gets a haircut with his wife who's directly to Pedro's left side (both my son and I constantly receive compliments on our haircuts whenever we get our cuts). It's not a gimmick barber shop they don't let you drink beer or smoke while your there, it's a place to get a great quality haircut and not get robbed by paying a ridiculous price. Booking is done through his page and I have never had trouble getting and appointment. Once you arrive, the cut begins immediately; there is no wait time unlike other barbers I have been to. I like to book my appointments early in the morning to avoid the hassle of finding parking in Pasadena. Beware of where you park because Pasadena traffic enforcers are ruthless. Unfortunately, today marks my third haircut here that wasn't up to my standard. I have been going…read moresince 2019 and it immediately became my go to barber shop. I've definitely had plenty of amazing haircuts in the past but my more recent ones aren't the same like the ones before. The fades here are pretty decent compared to most barbers, so you don't have to worry about a "bad" fade. However, my recurring issue was the shape of my haircut. I found that it was the sides were angled inwards toward my head rather than straight up as seen in picture 2. (I included pictures so y'all know what I mean ) My head fits a more "box" look which means the sides should be vertical as seen in the first pic. The haircut isn't necessarily bad by any means, but it isn't quite what I wanted. In the end, my advice for anyone who wants to try out this place is to be specific with what you want. You may have some growing pains when figuring this out but I feel that it would help you here a ton. Maybe I could try to communicate what I want better and more clearly to get the result I want, but I've also been coming here for a while too so I'm conflicted :/ Ultimately, I have decided to find another place to go but I hope y'all have a great time at this place! *Note both pics were taken right after haircut.
