Coincidentally I've been brought here by two different people. It's pretty good and they have a lot of different options, mostly sandwiches as well as like fish tacos which was what I had today. Unlike another poster, mine was actually good with pretty big pieces of really fresh mahi inside. I asked the super friendly lady behind the counter which was the most popular side dish, and she said the pasta salad. I chose that one and wasn't disappointed. With just water to drink the whole meal cost me about $10.62 plus tip. Overall this place is an option out there for lunch. It seemed to be pretty popular while I was there. read more

Good food. But VERY SLOW service. We were one of only 3 tables being served. While my husband's wings came quickly, it was over an hour before our salads came then another 1/2 hour to get entrees. The food was good and large portions but with slow service and no drink options other than beer & wine, I won't back. read more

Chicken wrap is out of a chicken can fries are drenched in oil roast beef wrap was weird taste ( luckily was not eaten completely) 3 personel in the kitchen and 2 servers and still I had to get up my table and ask for service, ice for my Ice tea and ask for our check twice.... Amazing! 5 stars will be back! We stopped here on out way home from Key West. It was Mexican night so we all ordered tacos and burritos! Meals came with homemade soup or salad. We all ordered tomato basil and minestrone soup. It was exceptional! They gave complimentary chips and homemade salsa. After dinner we all had a slice of Key lime pie. It was amazing! The prices here are very reasonable and the service was extremely exceptional! Also, everything is homemade and you can tell. We had a four year old with us and they told us we could change any menu item and they can accommodate. She ordered grilled shrimp and a side of angel hair. I tried a bite of hers and wow! The girl that just answered the phone says " yes what do you want" I tell her give me about 3 mins and I'll call back We need to review your menu I wanted to make sure you deliver". Such a Great locally owned Bistro. Seriously good consistent meal every time you go. The quality is always awesome time and time again, City Hall is a must go to if you enjoy eating a great meal and having some nice wine or even a huge beer selection. City hall probably has the best philly cheese steaks in town. Every time I am in the keys I make sure to pass by and get me one.

Wow this place was abysmal. Let me begin by mentioning that the servers were terrific - friendly and attentive. The trouble was the food. I ordered a blackened fish sandwich and it was a practical joke. The fish serving was minuscule, just a few flakes of seasoned snapper set upon an oversized potato roll. I filled up on bread and french fries at this disappointing place. Not sure what's doing with the positive reviews - folks at other tables had decent looking pastas, but honestly, I wouldn't serve the sandwich they gave me here to my cats. The food was great!! But...it took a while to get - waitress came back and asked if we needed anything and we said yes on tea and we wanted to look at the menu for pie - but never got it - asked for to go box and didn't get it until we asked the manager came by and asked him for menu and he brought us one. Then another waitress gave us to go box. When our waitress brought us the bill she apologized for the wait but 1/2 the waitstaff were gone- she did take the drinks off the bill but then we had to wait for her to bring our change. We will go back and hopefully they will have more staff since the food is really good. read more

I eat at City Hall a few times a month. I usually get a sandwich or burger for lunch and they are always excellent! I just recently tried the Eggplant Tower for dinner. Crab cake salad was a fresh delicious home made crab cake with spinach salad that was crisp and delicious. Blackened mahi sandwich was well prepared and very fresh. The customer service was horrendous. When I walked in a platinum blonde lady behind the counter gave no greeting and barked at me "itll be a minute." For the next ten minutes she continued to ignore me as I stood in front of her while she counted money until another staff member finally intervened and helped us. We lived across the highway for 5 months and finally stopped by CHC the week we were moving (luckily just a few miles up). I really enjoyed my Philly, the meat was cooked perfect with a nice steak:veggie ratio with peppers, onions, and mushrooms (extra $ to add shrooms). Bread seemed nice and fresh as it should be. Only negative I noticed was they were serving sodas via can, not that big of a deal, but seems like a bit of a waste for a restaurant to serve all drinks that way. Enjoyed my meal there overall and will recommend CHC to others asking for places to eat nearby. read more

Would like to have liked this better. It's nice, the people are nice but the food is bland and very average. It's small...and cozy I guess and really comfortable, but a menu, while interesting in what they have here, is less than impressive when it comes out. I think probably if you come for lunch and eat the luncheon fare, t probably resonates better with you than dinner. Just not ready for that. Just needs more personality when it gets to your palate .
