I've scheduled to see the venue after putting my deposit down. Once I got there nobody was there. I called in the rain and nobody picked up. Nobody got back to me in 3 days. Save everyone time and their deposit money. It's $2500. If you pay upfront (which you have to) they reserve the right to keep it regardless of cancellations due to covid or anything else. For some strange reason she always "means something else." It seems that Franchesca's preference is to talk over the phone rather than providing written responses to emails. During several conversations with myself, mom to be, and mother of the mom to be (all separate conversations), Franchesca gave favorable responses then changed her response about capacity, parking, ADA access, clean up, rentals, etc. (I believe she just needed a booking so she said yes to all of my questions). Franchesca never updated the contract, did not send a fully executed contract, was misleading about parking and ADA access, didn't know how to work her own speaker, told us that the shelves in the fridge couldn't be removed to put the cake inside, and the list goes on. Franchesca also told me that she would not be present during the event but would be in reach if I needed her because she doesn't have an office on-site, which was fine. During set up, her husband introduced himself and said that if I needed anything, his number was on the wall. He didn't leave, in fact, he babysat our event, walking in and out as he pleased. Several people asked who he was because he was very much out of place. At one point I came out of the kitchen and he had a plate of food. Another time, I came out of the kitchen and he was eating a slice of cake. He certainly wasn't there to help because we did absolutely everything (set up, trash, dismantle, speaker, etc.). After we paid in full, Franchesca became difficult to talk to. She kept cutting us (mom to be, myself) off during conversations before we could complete a thought. She also told us that she would clean everything, then decided that she didn't clean and we had to remove our own trash unless we paid her $150 additional for trash removal because she didn't have access to a dumpster. The time allotted wasn't worth the price, especially when her husband lingered like we were in his way (very tacky). Wasn't a comfortable feeling as we felt we were being watched throughout our rental. The shower was gorgeous and all the guests were pleased. My overall experience for the price I paid is about a 4 (1-10 scale).

That time due to everything going on in the world with minimal travel we enjoyed a cheap rate for an entire weekend with probably the best view offered for the hotel of TD Garden as well as the Leonard P. Zakim Bunker Hill Memorial Bridge. Which I know it's just a bridge but it was a nice sight for an in-city view. This most recent stay was due to a concert at TD Garden my wife and I were in town for. Which I will say if you are looking for a place to stay for an event at TD Garden, good luck finding a better option than here! Check in staff and valet workers were friendly and greeted us with a smile. Rates were very reasonable for end of summer and with a concert so close. Room was smaller this stay around and our view was more of just a building with a small glance of TD Garden if you looked to the side. Overall a very clean room and still a good amount of space. Can not think of any complaints for our stay and would stay here again. They offer valet parking and anytime we needed the car it was quick to get it back. Inside the lobby/first floor they have plenty of seating and what they dub "The Bistro" that offers breakfast, dinner, and full bar and I believe Starbucks drinks too. Location wise it is quite ideal, obviously if your activities/work is in this area of Boston. Besides TD Garden it is also close to North station along with plenty of food and drink options. Personally for a morning coffee or matcha I say check out Blank Street Coffee, then food wise I would say take a quick walk to the North End or closer try Tavern In The Square. The scones were delicious, tasted home made and the jams and creams were equally tasty. The sandwiches were okay, a little dry but the deserts were just as good as the scones. My only beef about the whole experience was that they used Stash tea bags for the afternoon tea. I mean anyone could buy those tea from the supermarkets. If you go to a place designated for afternoon tea, you would expect at least some loose leaf teas allowing the customers to smell, appreciate, and enjoy all the different tea flavors. If they had loose leaf tea, it would elevate the whole experience ten fold. Also, they had some sort of punch on the side, with no explanation and the punch pitcher did not work so guests couldn't really enjoy it until the very end. The house can host two parties, one on the second floor and the other one on the main floor. The owners live in the same building. There are plenty of parking at the house and also across the street because the owners own that too.

When it came time to move into the next room for brunch, one of the two waiters working with us that day made the announcement and helped to guide everyone to their tables. The tables were set up beautifully! We chose to have the "mismatched tea cups" instead of the white ones and every guest commented how adorable and unique they were. The waiters brought a box of assorted tea bags over for each person to choose and everyone loved it! Originally, I planned to use the silk flowers as the centerpieces for the tables, but we upgraded to fresh cut. Even the silk flowers were beautiful and elegant- Corrine has beautiful taste in every piece of decor. Throughout the entire event everyone kept asking how I found out about The Tiffany Juliet House. Everyone was so impressed with the amazing service, the attention to detail ( the light fixtures, the carpet, the window treatments, molding- everything is beautiful inside). I cannot thank Corrine and her team enough for helping to make my friend's bridal shower such a wonderful and memorable event for everyone. It was a priceless experience Despite all of that, the interior spaces are very, very small and oddly shaped, making it very hard to move during an event. It also makes it very difficult for the staff to maneuver in between tables, causing a major traffic jam when it comes to meal time. I'm not sure what happened when we were there, but there were MAJOR delays and mix ups during our event. So much so that the wait staff actually forgot to serve our entire table. By the time the realized this, they served us ice cold food that was over cooked, over salted, and actually inedible. The hosts of our event tried to correct it by offering to comp our table a round of drinks. But at that point we were all so disappointed and turned off by the entire experience that we all decided to leave two hours before the end of the event. Skyline at Waterplace has the potential to be incredible. But until they make some major changes, it's not a place I can recommend.

Due to a Folk Festival in town and being a last minute booking, I accepted the fact I was probably paying double the amount of what one night would normally cost. The day of my check-in I get a text that the room I originally booked was not going to be available because that person staying there needed another night. So I was asked to switch my room which I agreed upon. Turns out I was downsized from a Superior King room to a Deluxe Queen room at no price difference. Upon check out I realized they did not credit me the adjustment of downsizing my room as a courtesy to them even though it was because of their accommodation to another guest which inconvenienced me. I was charged more than double for my stay as compared to the regular going rate. I could have chosen to decline the downgrade considering I do live fairly close but my family was in town and I wanted to support local businesses. Second, breakfast is scheduled and posted to be between 8-10am and upon arriving at 8am there was no hot breakfast prepared for guests. I was expecting maybe some bacon and eggs to say the least, especially with the cost to stay the night in a room I didn't even want. The only thing available was a continental breakfast-English muffins, croissants, muffins, toast, and a Keurig for coffee. I asked a few other guests in the dining area about it and they said I can ask the kitchen to make me something and they were there the previous breakfast which the kitchen made food when there were more people there to eat it. I ate my English muffin and maybe 10 min later watched another guest come down and had to ask the kitchen to prepare her something for breakfast! The home itself is nice and cozy. Location is great. I just didn't have the best personal experience and certainly not worth 600 bucks!
