I was interested in the 3 hr special they had and they were available with truck the day I needed them. The movers showed up when they said they would. However, it was downhill from there. The guys didn't work as a team as previous movers I've experienced. One was carrying things down as the other did a poor wrapping job near the truck. I say poor because it was slow and my son's nice crib was damaged. I had to wait for wardrobe boxes as they brought ONE at a time instead of them bringing a few up at once. It had been 2 hours almost when they finally completed the one bedroom furnitures, grill, single door fridge, crib, and a few boxes. I had to complain to Bob and then movers picked up the pace. Bob was trying to make things better, I'll give him credit for that. However, when movers got to drop off, they mentioned that this was not a one bedroom apt as this was like almost 3. I shared with bob during reservation that it was like a 2 bedroom because the baby stuff, but most of the stuff was in a 10X5 storage, so it's my fault they didn't bring a large enough truck? When I told the last movers I had a 1 bedroom they brought more than enough room. Unfortunately, my last movers were unavailable when I needed to move. No respect for these movers. read more

Wow. What an incredibly easy experience. So Yelp has this feature that I didn't know about which allows you to message moving companies through the app with a template that addresses the necessary information--for example, how many boxes we'd be moving, how many bedrooms the new place would have, and other specific information. Then, Yelp asks if I'd like to send this same information to other moving companies in the neighboring area. So I did! Then those messages are grouped in one thread in my inbox and it details the rate per hour for each company. After shopping around for prices, I decided to settle with Respect Movers for a few reasons: their competitive rate, the fantastic reviews, and the pictures. Did I add that the owner immediately messaged me back at any time I had a question? He was very enthusiastic, very friendly and extremely informative. Everything you can imagine, he had answered in his first message. I was amazed! So even though the beginning rate is $85/hour, we went ahead with the $145/hour rate (cash, and $155 with credit/debit) with 4 movers because we had a lot of stuff in our home. The four gentlemen movers were very, very polite and professional. Their names are Shawn, Dima, Roman and Azamat; I specifically asked for their names because I want to highlight in this review what great work they did. They were extremely careful with shrink-wrapping and packing all the items, very gentle with our fragile and heavy-duty items, and they made sure not to scuff or scratch any of them. They also wore masks for those wondering. We were impressed. They never asked for one break even after hours of working under the scorching sun so we forced them to take some iced drinks, and even then, they only took a few minutes and went straight to work. Had a wonderful experience today with Respect Movers. They went out of their way to ensure that all of the work was done well past their normal business hours. It was a hard move for me as I had recently lost my dog but Joe was very hardworking and compassionate. Bob helped to get everything taken care of, making sure to be as quiet as possible for the neighbors. Andrew disassembled and reassembled my upholstered platform bed. Joe even made special arrangements with the owner to bring over another truck to help while the others were unpacking in my new place. I would recommend this company for any upcoming move and I will definitely be using them in the future. My sister had used their service a year ago and luckily for me, they were still the most affordable of all the quotes I requested. Bob even checked in with me closer to the day of my move. Alex and Dimitri were really communicative on the big day and even showed up early, calling me to work with my schedule. They were fast, efficient and friendly. I booked the minimum 3 hours for single bedroom first floor to single bedroom second floor. With what my mover said was one of the most difficult Ikea bed frames to assemble, (hand me down, funky installment) we still finished within 2.25 hours. We moved from Porter Ranch, CA to Eastvale, CA in February 8. The moving distance is about 73 miles. Our house is a 2600 sq ft with 4 big room. The total load is 2 big trucks. I called several companies. Most of moving service companies estimation are one thousand more than Respect Movers and require 2 days to move (first day packing and loading and store to their warehouse, 2nd day to move to destination), because we had a lot of stuffs to move. The Respect Movers, however, send two persons to my old house help us packing and make most of stuffs ready to next day to be loaded. The moving crew from Respect Movers and Storage were exceptional and even more! We hired them to store our personal belongings as well. And move furniture from the old house, store for 3-4 months until we move to our new house. All the movers ( Mike, Ronaldo, Alex ) showed up at our old house at the day of the move and it was confirmed with Annette from the office. The storage terms are great, even gave me 2 weeks for free. The items were stored at their warehouse and afterwards we called once again to schedule yet another moving from the storage to our new house. Annette was very nice to me and extremely helpful. All the items arrived to my house safe and in good condition. She made sure that we are very happy, satisfied, and that there are no problems or issues during and after they completed the work. They adjusted some time, called DDT which is a State Regulation apparently, but I got $50 knocked off from the total time. Respect Movers came over to the new house and they unloaded everything with extra causes and if there was ever a piece or some boxes that they didn't understand where to put them, they would come ask for clarification. Moving can be a stressful experience for anyone. In my case, it was made better due to Respect Movers. Communication with Bob was easy and on point, and I had to change move dates, which he was kind enough to accommodate me. On moving day, there was a slight miscommunication which was quickly solved by Ali (the foreman). We were credited back our $100 deposit - $50 for their internal miscommunication about the cost of moving the piano and $50 for the scratch on the door. I wish none of the things below had even happened, but do give them credit for trying. --- They should be a solid consideration for the average person with moving needs. Pricing is very competitive and they do take care to wrap up furniture. However, stars deducted for the following: * We moved a piano and I was quoted a price of $100 for an upright piano moved down a few steps. When they got there they told me the piano was heavy and because of the steps it would be $150. * They carefully wrapped the furniture in blankets and plastic, but then got pretty careless when placing the stuff in the house. The piano scratched our newly refinished floor (he argued that it was because of the weight of the piano, but there is just one scratch from careless lifting; if it were the weight then there would have been two scratches). Also, while moving a wardrobe box into one of the bedrooms the metal part scraped against the jamb taking a good chunk of paint with it. * No breakdown of time on the invoice. You'll just have to trust their word on when breaks were taken and how the drive time was calculated. * Strong pressure to write a review on Yelp IMMEDIATELY after the move. I found them on Yelp and I was not disappointed at all. I had a slightly challenging situation where I was moving out of one place and didn't know if I was going to find a place in time so I could move directly into my new place. Respect movers were very understanding and were extremely flexible. There were three guys and they packed up my entire 2 bedroom condo. Saying I had a lot of stuff would be an understatement. They ended up meeting me in Malibu which I decided to not move there for various reasons. They simply took my stuff and then headed to their facility where they could store my personal belongings for a week until I figured out where I was going to move to. A week arrived and I still didn't have a place to go, but the owner, Isa, gave me 4 extra days to keep my stuff in their storage, free of charge. I finally found a place to live but I was running out of funds so I asked if I could move the stuff out myself. Isa allowed me to do so and that way i only paid for storage. I didn't finish that weekend. I decided to utilize movers again in order to be done with my move once and for all. They came on time to deliver the rest of my belongings and they were fast and efficient. They keep the clothing wardrobe boxes so they can use them for other clients. Isa once again was flexible and allowed me to keep them overnight and I promised to return them the next day (which I did). The communication with myself and Isa was profound. He always got back to me in a timely manner and it was super easy to text him anytime during the day. These guys work so hard and know what they are doing. When moving, nothing ever goes according to plan, but when you are working with a company that understands that shit happens, it makes life a little less frustrating. :) Thanks guys!! read more

Simply put, these guys are the best! Bob was very prompt to respond to my inquiries. I ended up opting for the $219/3 hour deal with 2 movers. I had a total of 13 mixed sized boxes, a few dressers, a luggage, a portable AC unit, speakers and 2 flat screen TVs. I moved from West Hollywood to Montebello (approximately 16 miles apart). They arrived around 6pm on a Friday night. Alex and Leo were so prompt and REALLY FAST. Friday night LA traffic had no match! They finished the job well before the 3 hour period.
