A new screen was installed on our balcony screen door and it now looks nice and easily glides open and closed.

The old backdoor was, kind of, a joke, because it didn't really close and cold wind could come in…read moreeasily and one could clearly see that was extremely outdated. I contacted "American Thermal Window Products" and wanted to get this house project rolling before 2022 came. Unfortunately, due to labor and material shortages, I was informed the door installation would be at least a three-month wait. Hey, that wasn't the company's fault and I always received a good service and prompt responses from the office. Nick was assigned to get in touch with me for an estimate. Nick and everyone else in the office were very friendly. Nick explained everything about the estimate (free in-person estimate) and answered any questions we had. He emphasized that everyone involving with the installation process worked for the company. With that being said, there would be no third party contractors hired off the street! I understood the virtue of using the company employees. I have been part of the gig economy for some times. I wouldn't say the contractors wouldn't do a job, yet there could be a lack of accountability on their part of work certainly. In late February 2022, I received a voicemail from Linda and immediately called the office. She scheduled the installation date for me and provided an arrival window. The crew came in prepared within the window and was ready to work! The installation was rather quick. The cleaning was thorough. Everything was painless. The crew leader told us that adjustment could be made if there was a need. That door...let me tell ya...was a godsent. It helped conserve the heat. It did have an energy-star icon, for those who are into the energy-efficient appliances. It is also esthetically pleasing. Overall, I'm very satisfied. I'm going to inspect the windows for the rest of the house and to see if I can get "American Thermal Window Products" involved again.

Ordered new entry way doors from them because we had ordered metal screen doors from them years…read moreago, and we were pleased. The whole experience has been a nightmare. We ordered new doors for our house including a new front door. Following installation, the front door was snapping and popping when the sun hit it, and started to fade and paint was flecking off. We called to have it replaced because it was under warranty. They replaced it with a door that looked worse. You could see the unpainted inside window trim thru the windows. We went back and forth, requesting our money back, but we were not able to make any progress other than they would order a new door for us. This took months, many phone calls with service and general manager. Finally they said they had 2 doors for us, and that we could pick. It's not lost on us that if we picked between the 2 doors, that then they could come back to us and say, "you picked it". One of the doors had sand inside the windows-clumps of sand. The other one looked better, but it was obvious that it was the first door that we had returned, just painted. We were done! This company has gone down hill since we ordered from them back in 2020. Avoid them at all costs. They are sneaky and don't have good customer service. Nor do they have effective management.

Jason was hired to redo our basement shower. He did an amazing job! He was willing to hear my ideas…read moreand brought it to life! He knocked down the wall for me and moved the plumbing with copper as requested. He was very reasonable with the price and got the bathroom done within our deadline. An issue came along but he fixed it along the way like a leaky pipe. He wants to make sure things are done right, which I appreciated! The painting was done by me so ignore that lol

Jason Mitchell is a con man. He bragged about his ability and boasted about being bonded. He took…read moremy money and abandoned the job without completing it. He didn't level my floating floors before tiling (which was stipulated prior to signing the contract) and all of the tile work is unleveled and has buckling tile. The mortar is cracking and popping up. When I reached out to him for warranty repairs he told me to take it up with his attorney. I spent over $13k on a tile job for 4 rooms and I now need to have it all removed in order to have the floors properly leveled. He has no business being a contractor and I highly suggest you avoid him at all cost. My attorney has recommended that I look into a class action lawsuit against him. Edit: reply to Jason's response. Please do not believe the lies Jason has responded to my honest review of his tile failure in my home. 1st: The job was abandoned in June of 2019. 2nd: He refused to complete the job because I made the mistake of paying him the majority of the payments early after he presented a sob story about not being able to cover his pay roll. This was pre grouting before we noticed the tile was laid uneven. 3rd: I remained calm and cordial with him through the 2 months. I provided photos of the numerous areas that were unacceptable and unprofessional done. He always guaranteed he would correct the issues and never did. 4th: He refunded me $1000, not $2k after I threatened to take him to court for abandoning the job. I never signed any post agreement with him. He was supposed to create one for me to review and he never did. He must be confusing me with another victim of his. 5: I'm the one that pointed out the floating floor was not properly leveled and he tried to repair the sections after he had already laid uneven tile. His attempts made the floor more unstable. Before I signed the contract with him he guaranteed my floors would be leveled. 6: I had found a few bad reviews regarding His work prior to hiring him and he provided the same type of lies he used in response to my review here. 7: I was contacted by a former employee of his that told me my floor would start to fall apart after around a year because of Jason cuts corners. & that Jason has a history of scrubbing bad reviews with Angie's List and Yelp. 8.I turned down his initial bid as it was extremely high. I was going to hire Luna. Jason lowered his price in his bid in order to win the job. No terms were changed for the work to be completed and he guaranteed the work to be on par with Luna. After his poor craftsmanship became apparent he made a remark that he did level the floor because he lowered his price. Please note prior to the contract being signed we specifically discussed how the floor being leveled was to be included. (Not the basement floor, the main level were the tile us all falling apart now). He even made the remark "floor leveling us automatically included as it's part of properly tiling". 9. Protect yourself and find another contractor.
