I had continental windows and glass come out to do 4 glass blocks windows for my basement and process was good until they only put cement outside my bricks and not the inside and for my front window it was undone the rep came out again and said he only price me for the outside of the house not the inside and it was going to be more more money if I want them to finish the job when I sign the contract I paid for the installation they didn't mention that the cost was extra for inside the house. very unsatisfied and I had to hired someone to finished the job. read more

I contacted them about replacing 3windows in my condo. Appt was scheduled then rescheduled the last min with no specific date. After 2 weeks I called again, scheduled an appt, no one showed up so I called wondering if he's on his way..and the owner:., asked for my address.. he told me he knows my building and the association so they sent me an estimate via email?! There're one bed, two bed and 3bed condos here with different size windows here. Asking half the price for a deposit. Nothing but problems with casement windows we had installed a few years back. Within a week the seal broke and they had to come back for replacement window. A year later the window sash lock stripped and had to be replaced. Now after the 2 or 3 year warranty expired, we have had to pay for another 2 window locks and 3 casement crank assembly's. From the beginning I had complained the windows were not even level because they had gaps at the top which only close when you push the lock really hard, thus the constant breaking of parts. Not to mention the house is colder in winter and hot in summer because they were never installed right. I called four weeks ago and the manager seemed bothered when he answered. When I explained that I needed the bedroom window replaced he insisted that I would also need the glass sliding doors of the balcony replaced as well. I told him that I didn't need them replaced just the window. He told me that they were too busy and that a salesperson would call me in a few days. That was four weeks ago. We had Continental replace all of the windows on the front of our single family home in 2016. The work and price was good so we decided to call them back for a small job of only 2 windows in our family which were bad. Greg mentioned they were very busy, but 3 weeks later we still never received an estimate. Being a previous customer we thought they would respect that. Every time we call the office the young lady politely tells us she will leave a note on Greg's desk. We assume the only want jobs over a certain dollar amount and ours apparently was not large enough, so they just blew us off. Very disappointed in the way they neglected us. We have been trying to get in touch with this company for weeks! They installed our new windows in 2011 & we have a 10 year warranty on them. We called multiple times & finally got someone to come out weeks later to take a look at our dining room window that looked like the seal had stopped working. Once Martin finally did come out- he inspected the window & agreed that the window needed replacing & he would order it & we should be hearing from them soon. We've called back week after week & no one answers. There's no answering machine or anything. Are they purposely screening our calls or did they go belly up from their terrible customer service? This company may have good prices but terrible customer service, I ordered a replacement glass about a week ago and came to pick it up this morning. I waited 20 min to pull up the order and find out that the order was screwed up. Instead of glass they made a window. Of course they were a customer in front of me again while they were looking for what happened so I went back to end of the line wait for another 30 minutes to find out that they have to do it again. He keep tried to avoid their responsibilities. When I contracted to get their patio door, their attitude wasn't like this. I put 40 new windows in my 3 flat with these guys 11 years ago. To be fair to them they were the low bidder. Many of the windows no longer work or leak air. I had one of their guys come out and he said they are past warranty replace them all. Seems to be that replacing 40 windows every ten years does not make sense. I had another contractor come out and in three days replace all the weather stripping in the windows and they work really well. I guess Continental just wanted to see another 40 windows! read more

CWG replaced the windows in our second story vintage condo about 6 months ago, and did a fabulous job. We love the windows, and have definitely noticed a significant reduction in heating costs and noise. I did A LOT of research, and no one came close to beating CGW's price. I had a pane fall and shatter and needed it to get replaced. The rep from continental took down my info and passed it to Martin who gave me a quote ($120) over the phone. We talked about how he was going to get the window and he offered to swing by and pick it up. I left it on the back porch, went to work, and he came and got it. 3 days later he came by and removed the boards I had put up and reinstalled the window while I was at work! I got a call from continental asking how I wanted to handle the bill. It came in at $100. Never met Martin but am thoroughly impressed! read more

Outstanding service and communication! I called to have a latch repaired on a bedroom window. They came out a few days later early in the morning (7:30am) and repaired it free of charge!!!! Continental Window and Glass, Paul was great but the installation, product, and CUSTOMER SERVICE from company was horrible. PAUL should go work for an honorable company that honors their word because he tried to make good on their promise. The installation took over a week and a couple of windows were not level. I have deep window boxes on the inside of my home so you can imagine it looks like a funny house. I would have accepted just one replacement but NOOOOO, Would they honor their commitment, No!!! An eight of inch is acceptable to them for an uneven window. Do NOT USE THEM they do not honor their customer service. I thankfully did not do my entire house but did 2/3's. I will use someone that uses a level and not just with the bubble a little out of the markers but who honors the bubble within the markers, after all that is what those two markers and the bubble are for on a level. These folks may do good work, but their customer service could be improved upon. I called them to inquire about getting a four different kinds of windows repaired -- how we wound up with four separate broken windows is a fun story, but anyway -- and made sure to mention the windows were wood (I used to work for a vinyl window manufacturer, so I know this is an important detail not to be excluded.) The woman with whom I spoke on the phone was pleasant, and she explained that the best thing to do would be to bring the sashes in question to them to determine if they could be fixed. Ok, that makes sense, so my husband pulled all the sashes out and hauled them over early the next morning in the rain. It wasn't until he presented them to her that she said, "Oh, they are wood..." She called over a service person who said something like "rubbish", which prompted the lady to inform my husband they couldn't fix the wood ones. This would've been really awesome to know OVER THE PHONE Y'ALL. So, then my husband asked if they could just cut the glass for the single-pane windows and storm windows, which the woman said they could, but she wouldn't measure the windows for glass there because they need "precise measurements" so we'd have to take the measurements at home and call them with the measurements to have the glass cut. So...they couldn't measure the window openings there because...what now? At this point my husband decided to cut his losses and leave altogether. Not the best experience. read more

Only needed panes replaced and I asked if just the panes could be replaced and was told NO and that it would cost just as much as replacing the WHOLE entire window and frame (By the owner who was not cordial and quite rude, acting like I was wasting his time)...Was quoted over $900 for 5 windows. Took the windows to White Hardware & Paint Co. where all of the panes replaces cost $250. I HIGHLY suggest White Hardware & Paint Co. 5523 S. This is one of the bigger mistakes of my remodeling. Prices were reasonable, but in this case I got what I paid for. Installers ripped the windows insulation off with the window frame paint, even though I cut the insulation off before they arrived and they didn't even have to touch the part that was stuck to the frame to do the install. To cover up, they painted over the removed paint with......caulk. Yup...I could not believe it. It took me hours to remove, so I can repaint the damaged paint. Now to the windows themselves. They are really cheap looking. Square, with glued on pieces that are normally are a part of the frame, No covers for the vertical window channel. I could live with the sad looks, but my gripe is that they leak like crazy. The 25 year old windows that they replaced leaked far less. Granted, the argon filled double glass does what it is supposed to. I resorted to taping joints and insulating my new windows. Their service was responsive. A tech guy come out twice. Screwed around with them, installed thicker seals. Why didn't they come with thicker seals to begin with? It got a bit better, but still leak unacceptably. Put your hand near any joint/seal on a cold day and you can feel the cold air blowing in. On cold nights, the bottom of top pane is always covered by condensation and frost, even if I keep humidity down at 25% or less. I eventually dropped pursuing it further with them, as I thought it was a poor design and/or construction and didn't think they could do anything to reduce leakage. I took me three years of living with them to write this review. read more

We had a very frustrating experience with Continental: Their work was sloppy with details and clean-up, and, once paid, they ignored repeated requests that they complete work on one window. 1) They replaced about a dozen windows in our house, and the installation itself was fine. We had some problems scheduling with them (ie, they showed up when we thought they were coming on another day, etc.) -- but it entirely possible that the confusion was on our end. 2) Naturally, they removed window treatments for installation, but did not put the treatments back on the walls! 3) They did not clean up fully: The treatments were left on the floor below the windows, along with other detritus from the installation. (It took more than one phone call, but they did eventually return and re-hang the treatments.) 4) On one second floor window, they replaced the window WITHOUT REMOVING THE STORM WINDOW that had been there with the old window. We called repeatedly for them to come and remove the storm window (which could not be opened at all from the inside, so we had no ability to open the window!). 5) They agreed to come and fix it, but cancelled, and ignored repeated requests to reschedule. (Perhaps the difference was that we paid fully for the work before we realized that the storm window was still there - when we had an outstanding balance to pay, they had responded to our complaints.) We absolutely would not recommend hiring them. read more
