Not only did they accommodate but they also spent a good portion of time cleaning it with razors so much that it looked brand new. After a week I hadn't received an email and called but got no response. The individual handling the tile repair got back to me asking to get something scheduled. Again I called about my shower door repair and did not receive a call back. I never received my quote and have decided to pursue another company. I would suggest taking your business elsewhere. Frank and his father Francisco replaced the seal on my sauna shower glass door. It detached in one section so his father came out a second time to fix it. Later I noticed that my door was chipped in several areas and some glass was left in the shower. I think they tried to conceal the damage because only a a fraction of the glass was in the shower. Fortunately I did not cut my feet. I called and Frank left a voicemail (see the transcription) making a far fetched and implausible excuse about pre-existing damage and not being responsible. He also claimed that the broken glass must have been struck to the seal and that is how his father was unaware of the damage even though he reattached the original seal with glue and tape. Against all odds, this "pre-existing damage" occurred after they replaced all the seals surrounding the sauna shower door and during the second appointment. And somehow Frank's father Francisco did not notice any glass or manage to cut himself re-attaching a seal covered in glass. After several calls Frank agreed to come out on Dec 16th. Then he agreed to come back with his father Francisco and replace the show door in mid-January after returning from his family holiday in Mexico. I texted him two days laters to confirm that the replacement would be the same color tone of and he said yes. during the visit, I also pointed out that another panel had damage which he claimed was glue. I cleaned up the glue later but that confirmed that the second piece was damaged as well. I texted Frank about it and he did not reply. He has ignored all my calls and texts since then. I was able to speak with him on the February 8 briefly, he claimed to be sick but promised to call his fabricator the next day to check on the door and follow up with me. He did not. At this point it is clear that he has no intention to stand by his word. 1 Star is one star too many. He has either lied or mismanages his business so much that he never follows up. I'm pretty shocked at the reviews on Yelp for this company - I'm not sure if they changed owners or if it's just a case of only the unhappy people leaving reviews, but my experience with everyone was really positive. I called and inquired about getting a couple of mirrors custom made for my home. It wasn't a huge job and I knew that, but they treated me with importance. The two guys that came to give a quote were really friendly and efficient and the two people I spoke to on the phone (a man and a woman) were super friendly. Communication was on point, installation was easy and I believe the price was fair. The product itself looks great and I'm happy with the results. The two men who installed everything were very friendly - it felt like my dad and uncle were here helping me. I would recommend this company and I hope that more people leave positive reviews. :) read more

I received the best customer service from Nelly, I made an appointment to get an estimate for a shower door. Fransisco came with another gentleman both workers were really polite and made sure all my questions were answered. After they left my home I spoke to Nelly to set up a date for the installation. In less than a week they were back in my house installing my shower door. Regardless of the bad reviews I still decided to give them a try really glad I did because I've received plenty of compliments on my new shower door. read more

I made arrangements for pickup of a new mirror a week in advance. When my handyman arrived to pick it up on the date that I'd specified, he was told it was in the warehouse and not available. When I called to figure out what was happening, I got them to agree to deliver it to my home that evening so that the handyman could do the work and said I would be there. They never did the delivery, and so my handyman, who had come to my home that evening, inconvenienced himself twice and became very unhappy. When I called back this morning, the owner (Frank) was unapologetic and announced that he would now only do the delivery for a fee. I was extremely unhappy by their service. read more

Nice people doing the work and scheduling the service call, but the work was poor quality and it was expensive. The glass door they adjusted was still sticking when they were ready to leave, so this work had to be redone with a different type of plastic strip. The service call was $580 (reduced to $535 when I asked for better pricing) for: an adjustment to a glass shower door (service fee of $220), and the replacement of plastic strips on the bottom of three shower doors ($30 for each plastic strip, $90 service fee for each). Total time at the house was less than an hour, even with the rework. read more

Told them about their poor repair job and no consolations - they charged full price to come fix their work again. Beware!!! They claimed a towel nearby was causing the door to be loose - it was there the first time and they didn't say anything? This is an honest and unbiased review written many days after the fact, so I have had time to cool off. For reference, we have recently remodeled a condo top to bottom and have employed contractors, specialists for floors, kitchens etc,. Some were recommended, some were found online. I would mention we are not the vindictive type, nor are we the type to seek discounts based on bad reviews or anything like that. Every other contractor we employed has been pretty good and no complaints. In fact, I have had to create a yelp account to write this review. Whilst I'm here I will review some of the other firms we used and they will be getting good ratings. Lakeview glass came to quote & measure for a pretty standard glass frameless shower enclosure. We had one other company bid, which was perhaps our mistake. Frankly speaking this is a pretty simple job and we didn't think it would be much of an issue for a glass company. They seemed competent and the reviews whilst mixed seemed solid enough. Install day comes and a crew arrives first thing in the morning (around 8). They set up and start work. 2 hours later one of them hands me a phone with Frank (salesperson) on the other end. There's been a manufacturing error. The crew needs to re-work something. OK, stuff happens right? The delay is frustrating but we make do. We spend the entire day going back and forth into an empty condo. There was very little communication from Lakeview at this point. The crew has been and gone and come back. They finally get a shower enclosure up around 5pm and they start packing up and leaving. I review the work and it's a mess. To say it's a joke would be an understatement. The side panels don't line up with the tile (it's a custom frame for a 120 year old house, even the guy measuring told me it would be taken into account) -on top of that they were not level. So they didn't match the tile nor were they level. There was a full half inch between the top and the bottom of the glass. Meaning the glass side panel was instantly visible by eye to be crooked. The doors did not have have the same height as the frame (!!), there was a huge gap on the side on the right, the door stuck when opened, and finally - something we didn't notice at the time - it took the head installer to point it out later -- the hinge was at an angle and the silicone work looks like a 3 year old took up finger painting with silicone sealant. I was so disgusted with this, and the fact they tried to pass this off as finished job, that I asked frank to instruct the crew to rip out the botch job (before the silicone dried) so I could get a different company out to re-do the work. Frank refused, stated the job looked fine from the photos. At this point I mentioned I would not pay for this work and I should consider getting our credit card provider involved if they would not rip out this mess - he mentioned a lien on the house. This is when I said to Frank everything from this point on would be done in writing. After being ignored by email for several days we started getting quotes from other companies to fix the shower enclosure. Whilst it's true no company will be complimentary on others' work, the work was pretty embarrassing to show and each of the 3 companies were astonished this was the work of a professional glass firm. The response from Lakeview finally arrived and we were told that the tile was not installed straight and that the issues were aesthetic. After much back and forth we finally got an agreement for them to come out and see the work. The head installer (Francisco?) was genuinely embarrassed when he saw the enclosure and agreed right away it was terrible. He was the only person who was apologetic. He spent about 1 hour fixing a few items and then they came back a few days later with a new manufactured panel (the small fixed one) - which I did point out was not the fix we had agreed on. That said, we were too deflated to argue with them, and we wanted to give them the opportunity to make their botch job OK. 4 hours later we had a shower enclosure that sort of looks OK. That said, please see enclosed image of the hinge glass which shows the quality finish they leave. The glass shaving looks messy and horrible, it's not even straight and doesn't match the finish of the rest of the enclosure. The silicone work is still pretty poor but falls into the 'acceptable' level. I did initially ask them to come back to fix the glass shaving, but I've decided at this point to cut my losses, we no longer wanted them back in our condo. They offered a $100 discount on the final cost, which I did not ask for but accepted. I have now cut a check for the final payment, through gritted teeth. My genuine advice if you are thinking about hiring Lakeview glass for a project? Go elsewhere. note: the hinge photo is not uploading due to a yelp error. read more

I called the main number after our next estimate, who did show up, finished. I was told they got held up but can reschedule. According to who I spoke to they should have called but forgot to call. At this point they were roughly two hours past the already two hour long window. This is the most basic level of customer service that was completely missed. I had an appointment scheduled for an issue with a balcony door on 9/7/16. It was scheduled the Friday before. I was told someone would come between 3-5pm. I was also told to email the company if I needed to change my appointment last minute because sometimes they don't check voicemail but once a day. I had to take off work for this appointment because I was told weekend appointments were not available. The date of my appointment at 4:45pm I became concerned and called the company to let them know that no one had called. The gentleman I spoke with said that the technician was on an installation and may have gotten backed up. He was going to reach out to the technician and call me back "within minutes". I waited 50 minutes at which time I called back and got voicemail informing me that they were closed. I left a voicemail informing the company of what had happened (very calmly I will add) and asked for a call with an explanation. I also emailed the address that I was given prior. It is now 8 days later and I have not received a call or a reply to my email. I do know they have been in touch with the real estate agent (he called them); however, no one has called me. I felt like I had to follow up on my own for any info on my order, which was delayed twice due to a part not being shipped in time and the glass pane cracking during delivery. This place is ghastly expensive. To replace the plastic trim around my shower door they charged me 80$ for the piece. Then the guy sold me the wrong piece but I had no choice but to cut it correctly myself and make it work. I found Lakeview Glass after searching unsuccessfully for a company to remove a glass dividing wall--and then re-install it after tile repairs were complete in a bathroom. No glass company I called was willing to do it, they all wanted to just sell me a new piece of $$ glass. I was actually told, "Ok lady, we'll move your glass but we can't guarantee that we won't break it, and if we break it we're not responsible" by more than one company. Lakeview sent nice, prompt, competent guys who were experienced and confident. Of course they couldn't guarantee that the panel wouldn't break...but they gave me assurances that they really knew their stuff. Glass panel removed without incident, stored in another room while messy tiling job happened, then glass re-installed. No breakage! They cleaned up after themselves and were just great. After calling a couple places for assistance in repairing a glass shower door that was scraping our marble floor when opened or closed we came upon Lakeview Glass. The intake guy assured me that they could repair, gave me a reasonable quote, and a appointment time for 2 days out, all within 5 minutes. I was so relieved. I was even happier when the technicians arrived (on time) and were able to fix my door in about 30 minutes! The technicians were very knowledgeable and patient with all my questions. They wiped down everything and then told us to wait 24 hours to use shower. 48hours later and my door is better than new. We have been having issues with this door since we first purchased out home a few months ago. I am hopeful that this shower door won't be an issue anymore. read more

I had an appointment scheduled for Wednesday from 11-1, which no one showed up for. Then when I called around 1:30, I was told that they were still at the other job. No one ever gave me a courtesy call to let me know this. I had to then reschedule for today, Friday, from 3-5 and again, no one ever showed up, nor did I receive a call. Not only will this company never get my business, but as a real estate agent, they have lost any business that would have been referred by me. I worked with Frank and his guys to repair my sliding glass balcony door. I originally had had a guy from an unnamed company come out and he qouted me $500 to pull the entire frame out just to see if they could repair the rollers. Mind you, this is a highrise so pulling out frames is no easy task or minor work. No thanks. I then reached out to Lakeview glass and Frank immediately knew my building and the problems I was experiencing (apparently the developer used the wrong rollers when isntalling these custom fitted doors). He quoted me $280 on the phone and the next morning his crew was out to repair the door. 30 minutes later the door was re-installed and sliding like a dream. The price quote was on the mark, the installers professional, courteous and cleaned up after themselves. I already have another job for Lakeview Glass and would gladly recommend them to people in the future. I'm still waiting on an emailed receipt but that's fairly minor in my opinion. read more

I have used this company in the past to do glass showers for me and been somewhat satisfied. They have always been somewhat slow in returning calls and getting back to you but I have been satisfied with the work product after completion. But recently their customer service has been awful. Being a customer in the past, I would expect better customer service and should not have to wait 1.5 for a quote and to get a job done, which I am still waiting on. I have stopped by the shop 5 times, emailed them and left many messages. The thing is, they have already taken measurements (twice actually) so they have everything they need. Just need to give me a number and provide me an idea of all the possible options for a glass railing. That brings me to another complaint I have. I was very surprised they were not able to give me actual work examples of the glass railing I was interested in getting, especially since glass is the only thing they do. On a side note, if you do decide to use them, expect they will be about 2-3 hours late to your appointment. Out of the 4 times they came over for my remodeling projects in the past, they never showed up on time and they dont bother calling you to let you know. Everytime I had to call the office and ask for a status. Never proactive enough to let you know they will be coming late. read more
