I was given an accurate 2 hour arrival window and got a text when Noah was dispatched, about 15 minutes before he arrived, which was helpful. Noah was great! He gave me a quote up front and there were no surprises. He showed me the additional issues that were not fixed by my simple replacement, and when I asked questions he offered to teach me how to do the larger replacement myself. He was patient and walked me through all of the steps including a thorough check. He showed me where there was still moisture after his initial install, walked me through his troubleshooting, made an adjustement, and ran another thorough check. The whole thing took about 30 minutes, and I am now confident I would be able to do more if not all of the replacement on my own. I understand that sending estimators out costs money and that not every bid results in a job, but charging simply to provide an estimate is not something I expect from a commercial contractor. We were able to obtain a bid from another reputable Marin County plumbing company at no charge and ultimately awarded them the project. While everyone has the right to run their business as they see fit, this pricing policy was disappointing and was enough for us to look elsewhere.

I ran into something similar with Elevated Comfort, where the dispatcher said over the phone "We'll talk to your husband, since he's the decision maker" and I needed to state that he's not in any way, shape or form involved as he's not on the deed nor financially responsible. They eventually provided an estimate. Gotelli opted to not continue the conversation. I feel this was a related situation. Solo women homeowners are NOT rare so I don't know what the hesitation is. I did end up hiring someone else for the same job and it worked out beautifully.
