    French Dip

2.5 stars in my opinion. Our waitress Micah G was 5 stars-very personable, kind and attentive. The food however is simply not good. Continental hotel eggs (definitely not fresh cracked) and rock hard bread. The dip had so much onion jam that the sandwich tasted like candy it was so sweet. At least the kettle chips were nice. We didn't drink here just needed some food, so hopefully that is better as the highlight we experienced was Micah.

Service was wonderful, from the moment I step at door. I really like my salads , it's on the salty side bc of blue cheese It's my thing. Argentinian Pinot was great. Ambient is casual and modern.

After seeing a multitude of TV ads, we decided it would be best to walk in and see what City Vineyard is all about. Does the store really have is so many individual bottles of wine, and is the tasting room/restaurant small plates worth it to enjoy their wine list? Let's start with- I consider myself to be a person that enjoys a wine that is outstanding and if having food with a glass (or a bottle) the complimentary tastes and nuances of both food and wine must not overwhelm each other. So.. here is my review! Service- guest based in the storefront. As you are walking through and notice wineries that interest you, the staff will introduce themselves and offer assistance as needed- relaxed, not forced, extremely about each guest. Great prices with varieties of wineries and blends. So many outstanding wineries represented in the store! Move into the tasting room/restaurant... repeat of excellent customer service. Menu includes brunch options (if you are an early bird); mid-day into evening foods that are equally delicious. We decided on a salad with goat cheese, mixed greens, toasted walnuts, dried berries and a cinnamon vinaigrette, as well as shared deviled eggs. Breaking down those two-- perfect blend of sweet and savory flavors in the deviled eggs (did I mention you may select four or six ?); the salad was plentiful, could easily be shared, the highlight in my opinion was the cinnamon vinaigrette! Wines... we had whites, bubbles and reds. Love the options to sample prior to committing. The team members know the wines.. I was delighted with the opportunity to discuss my preference as to blending with the food and their Spot On recommendations! Bottom line- A fabulous addition to Bozeman. Don't let the location (part of the re-development of the mall) influence you checking them out. Truly a must see and enjoy experience. We will be returning guests. Well done City Vineyard!

Our waitress was very kind, provided great service & great recommendations! We had the FRITES & FONDUE for an appetizer, fries were great, the Parmesan was a nice touch and the fondue didn't have a lot of flavor. We both loved the our entrees, as we continued our meal seeing all the other entrees going to tables we are excited to come back to try the vast options on the menu. The Fungi Pizza: This is our usual go-to, but the dine-in version was totally off. For takeout, they pack the greens separately so you can control the heavy lime flavor, and they include a cream of mushroom sauce that makes it incredibly creamy. In the restaurant, they forgot the cream sauce entirely and piled the greens on top with so much lime it tasted like biting into lemons. We tried adding salt and pepper to cut the intense acidity, but it didn't help at all. The Japan Chicken: On the plus side, the Japan Chicken was excellent--incredibly juicy and crispy. This dish is actually much better when you dine in. When we get it for takeout, it loses its crunch and ends up feeling like a basic chicken nugget. Definitely order this one fresh at the table.

When we came in at around 4pm, there seemed to be plenty of tables available but after an hour, the place quickly filled up. Vibes/Service: Parking lot in the back and it seemed there was some street parking available as well. Many, many tables available with bar seating as well. It can certainly fit a larger group. Great service from our server. Checked on us often and filled up our waters. Food: Because it was our first meal here, we wanted to try out their staple dishes. -Bison Potstickers ($16): 5 pieces topped with mango and garlic chili sauce and served with some coleslaw. Rich and filling, paired well with the sauce. Would order this again! -Bison Patty Melt ($22): it was my first time eating Bison, the waiter suggested medium rare. It looked more red than I usually like but it actually was juicy and tasty-- I guess this is the difference between a regular beef patty. I'd also order this again. -Served with pepper parmesan fries which was so uniquely food. Fries were fresh. -Huckleberry Cream Ale ($8/pint) paired well with my meal.

My server knew the special menu, regular menu and drinks very well. I ordered the bison patty melt and tots for the meal and the Bridger Hazy IPA for the drink. The bartender recommended the IPA and it was excellent. The homemade tots were great. A shredded potato in the middle, nice and creamy and crunchy exterior. Feedback was there were only 5 on the plate. Definitely could use more. The bison patty met was perfectly cooked. A lot of folks overcook and dry out the bison. It was perfectly medium and juicy. Feedback would be a little char on the patty would be great. The service really tailed off in the end, it was not super busy and they had about 5 servers behind the bar. I sat there for at least 15 min until another bar tender asked if I wanted another brew and my server came about 5 to 10 later to attend to things.

**November 2025: Saturday Night**…read more My mom and I were looking for a spot to enjoy dinner that had parking. We drove around downtown Bozeman for a good 30 minutes, and didn't have any luck in securing parking. I found Mountain Walking Brewery and thought I'd take a chance and prayed that there would be a lot or that I would be super lucky with street parking. We were in luck and there was one very small spot near the front of the restaurant - hallelujah! The restaurant was poppin' - almost every table was taken, but we were offered bar seating and we gladly accepted. After purusing through the menu I decided that we should try a variety of items including a side of Brussels sprouts, Bowl of Bison Chili, and a Fig and Arugula Pizza. Service was quick and we got all our items in a pretty timely manner. The pizza had a really great crust the dough had a nice bounce to it. I think for me they were a tad overly generous with the balsamic vinegar glaze which made the pizza quite salty. I would definitely order a pizza again but perhaps the Margherita or the Carnivore. The bison chili was a good standard bowl and the brussel sprouts while crispy was also very salty - I think it was definitely over dressed, but maybe since the majority of patrons were drinkin the salty foods would pair well. Seems like a fun place to hang out, but for me I'd probably pick anything that doesn't have glaze or soy sauce.

I gave suggestions of the beers and he made outstanding choices. I had the cauliflower wings with sweet chili sauce. Perfect fry on the cauliflower and the sweet chili had a great sweet and spicy balance. The bison chili was pretty good. The flavor and body was enhanced when you added the cornbread to it. Together is was a good bowl of chili. Great place to kick back for good food and a beer.

Besides the breakfast they serve in the mornings, they also open at night to do dinner after 5 pm. Seeing as we were tired from out flight in, we decided to stay in and get food. Being from Buffalo, it is always interesting to see how other places fare in the wing department. In this case, the sauce was great. They had the perfect amount of heat and spice. The wings were on the smaller side but the flavor made up for that. For dessert, I had to try the cheesecake. It was good. Definitely better with the strawberries on top. Very sweet and overall, very good. If I was to stay here again, I'd definitely go for breakfast everyday. The breakfast was so good, I didn't get a chance to get any photos. First, yes this is the restaurant in the HGI, but having eaten in oh I don't know, a few hundred Hilton properties over the last few years.....this stood out. The biggest reason is the service. My server Kahla was incredibly friendly. She also covered my food with a lid when she realized I couldn't get off a call while my food was in front of me. She made sure it wasn't a big deal to get an extra egg and she also said they could have something for me to take when I leave early in a couple days for the airport even though the restaurant won't be open when I need to be gone. Awesome. The food was very good too...but sometimes great service carries the day. It's nice to be at a Hilton property that isn't either scared or too cheap to serve breakfast.
