Amazing service, the owner served us the whole time, he was so friendly and excited about his food. At the table we split the breakfast special (oven roasted chicken, plantains, and eggs), pork mofongo, pastelitos de gauyaba and Puerto Rican coffee. It was all delicious. This isn't lip service all of the food was incredible! The restaurant is small but decked out in Caribbean art and nods to the island. Came here for brunch on a weekend. The inside is nicely decorated with a few tables inside and outside. The food was delicious with good portions and staff very friendly. The owner is very passionate about his food (and rightfully so), and me and my Venezuelan fiancée thoroughly enjoyed our brunch. I got the special, which was a South American twist on a Benedict (egg and pork over yucca, with a cheese sauce and chimichurri - delicious). Caribbean Sunrise is a must in Holland! The oven roasted pork tacos are packed with amazing flavors and the portions are generous. Lunch was so delicious that we ordered catering for dinner for 20 people. We got large trays of rice, chicken skewers, pork skewers, oven roasted pork, chicken, and plantains. Not only were the dishes perfectly cooked and prepared for the dinner, the food kept well and was delicious the next day, especially the pulled pork. The owner, G, was incredible - very nice and helpful, accommodating our large order on short notice. They even followed up the next day to check that everything went well! They are brand new to this space and we were eager to try them. Greeted warmly upon entering! Cashier took time explaining the Caribbean pastries in the case, so we got a few of those to sample while waiting for our breakfast. So good! I like that you can get smaller or larger sizes. The menu is very limited right now while they're finalizing it, so there were only three breakfast options, but they were fine for us. Same thing, you can get whole or half sizes, love this! We had one of each breakfast option and the portions were large. We also had the Puerto Rican coffee which was good and served in adorable coffee glasses with covers. The cashier and wife/co-owner stopped over often to ask if we needed anything and to offer coffee refills. The wife told us their history and how they came to open there. Hard-working couple with a passion! As we were walking out, the husband came over from working the grill to talk a little more. They serve Pinchos for lunch and they smelled AMAZING.
