I came in as a walk-in looking for gel manicure and the staff suggested a 'dipped' method instead. They insisted that this would be better for my nail when I asked about removing them. I visited recently for the first time for a pedicure. I tend to bounce around from nail salon to nail salon because I have yet to find one that really "WOWS" me. This was not much different. The place is clean and overall friendly. They greeted me pretty immediately. I went back to the pedicure chair and they made me sit there for quite awhile in the water unattended. This was the main part I didn't like. If it's going to be 5 mins; awesome. I'm patient. But it was more like 15-20 just sitting in water. The other thing people seem to "rave about" in the reviews but I didn't particularly like was they charge you for nail files they use during the pedicure. I have NEVER been to a place that does this. If you want to be sanitary (which I would think is a state code of some kind) then that's great! However, I shouldn't be charged for the tools you need to run your business. I thought that was a bit insane. At the end of the day, it was a nice pedicure. They did a good job. Same as most places. Nothing to rave about. Nothing to cry about. But I did think they were overpriced and the nickel-and-dime approach they take with EVERYTHING there will have me going elsewhere. read more

This locations is as good as the first if not better. The lay out of the salon is nice, fresh, clean and crisp. I like that they are very sanitary, and quick with service. If the other Lux salon is too busy, this location is less than 5 mi away and usually can fit you in. read more

This place is not to good. It's very overpriced for what you get. I tired this place because i just moved to this area and needed to find a new salon. I gave it 3 stars because the salon itself was clean and pretty. The staff was nice. But when we got there we had to wait about 15 minutes and they weren't busy. I brought my friend with me and she wanted the cheapest manicure they had. But i guess the lady wasn't listening to her and gave her the second most expensive one. And it didn't even look good. DO NOT GO HERE if you value your health!! My friend's toe got infected due to the poor quality work and lack of proper sanitation . When she called asking for a refund, she was told she had to come in (she lives across town) to prove her toe was infected. No apology or desire to make things right, just making a bad situation worse. In retrospect, none of the tools came out of sanitation bags, the tubs aren't lined (and I never saw them being cleaned) and and the shop generally seemed grungy. Should have gone with my first impression and walked away from the beginning. On top of that the staff was obnoxious and did terrible work. My feet still looked rough and my polish has already chipped (5 days later). They were more interested in interrupting our conversation with rude advice and comments to do a decent job. I'm not sure if the shop changed management but my experience doesn't match any of the positive reviews for this salon. Do not recommend, avoid at all costs if your health and proper sanitation is important to you. read more

There's not many places that I get impressed by, but this place impressed me. This was the first time I had ever gone to this nail salon. I got a full set of nails by a younger gentleman there and I didn't catch his name. But he was hilarious and I loved him ! Spoke wonderful English and had me laughing the whole time. Then I got a spa pedicure from Kelly. She did an awesome job and was so sweet. She massaged my legs very well and I will be back for sure. The price was very very good. I got my pedicure and full set of white tip acrylic nails for 54 dollars and that was on a Saturday ! Please try this place out. Everyone was so nice and they are service oriented ! read more

Had a wonderful experience here! Tuan did my nails. He was really friendly and has a really gentle touch. My nails look beautiful. The salon is very clean and attractive. I also got my eyebrows waxed, which is usually a painful experience but the lady that did them was quick about it and was able to do them without causing as much pain in the past. I really enjoyed this nail salon... It was very clean and the staff was very friendly. They did a great job on my nails and I enjoyed it so much I think I am making this place my new nail salon. They offer complimentary adult beverages along with sodas and waters. The thing that won me over was that they give you the nail file, buffer, and cuticle pusher in a little bag so you can bring it back on your visit... No more having to worry about dirty, re-used nail tools... Either you get to keep them or what you don't get to keep you can watch them pull out from a sterilized packet... Not a random file box that contains other unsanitary tools :) win! read more

I stopped here when I was in the area visiting family and needed a fill. Henry did my nails. He did a wonderful job! Took his time and really payed attention to detail. He was very friendly and offered me a drink multiple times. He made sure my nails were dry before I left, but they actually weren't and I messed up the one upon leaving. This wasn't his fault though! I don't want to go back. I think when an owner of the spa doesn't create an inviting atmosphere it makes for a really uncomfortable nail session. Having a business means making your customers feel welcome not an inconvenience. I loved going to Tonya, but am constantly feeling uncomfortable when I see the owner. She doesn't seem to like having customers enter her establishment. I have lots of friends and family I would have sent here. But feel so Un- welcomed when I come. Sad... I have come into this salon before and was well pleased with the service but moved from the area and have been going to a salon in the Alliance Town center where it is alway crowed and I feel like I'm being rushed in and out. At Lux Nail spa if you are doing nails and toes they do not do them at the same time. Toes on the chair and nails at the table by the same person. Thank you for doing it the old way. A couple of things. I walked in right as the place opened and it didn't seem like it had been cleaned the night before. It wasn't dirty, it just wasn't clean like a place that hasn't seen any clientele yet. I wanted an express mani/pedi. It took 1.5hrs. I didn't ask for anything extra and even skipped the massage. My technician was obviously new and taking a long time, and there were 6 employee's lounging around not offering to help her. I haven't ever been to a nail salon that didn't have two people doing the mani and pedi if there were employee's available. 2 stars for the technician, I'm never going here again. Previous experience wasn't so great either, but I decided to give this place another chance. read more

Absolutely phenomenal! A friendly staff and clean environment set the atmosphere for my visit. I have been to other nail salons in the past and the technicians never did my nails as requested. I have solar nails and request that they be done thicker since I'm a veterinary technician and work with my hands all day. I have a hectic schedule and cannot make time to come in when my nail breaks to get it fixed. The technician at this salon listened to my requests and actually followed through! Took my 4.5 yr old for her first pedi/mani.. because I knew they had the little kiddie chairs. Wish I had waited and gone somewhere a little more special. They chairs were nice, but stained and kind of gross looking once I sat her in it. The lady who did her wore a huge face mask (for whatever reason) and it was hard to hear what she was saying.. She didn't make any conversation w/my daughter, and I imagine the big mask would be scary for some kids. Did her toes and painted little flowers on the toes (after I asked, remembering that it was included in the price - confident they would not have if I didn't ask!) - did a good job. I went to pay (at my tech's suggestion) while she finished up on my daughter, and a few min later I look over and my little 4 yr old is struggling by herself to get off the chair.. she could have fallen or tripped. And her lady who did her toes/nails was 2 chairs away! Not even the least bit concerned w/helping her out of her chair. So I run over to help her and put her sandals on - smudging her big toes.. of course. I told the lady at the front desk that the person doing kids should really help them out of the chairs (if their parent isn't right there).. I wish that went unspoken. Didn't like how each foot-bath didn't have a plastic liner either - that should be the standard in this day & time. Won't be back. read more
