A random coffee search brought me here and I'm so glad it did! Upon entry I was in awe of how beautiful this place is. They have great decor, open space, and very clean and welcoming vibe. It was also quiet and well lit which was great. Their menu was a little overwhelming, but thankfully the barista was so sweet and helpful. Tonight was my 2nd visit to Cilvil Pour. My fist time I got a s'mores latte. It was fine. Service was good, he knew I hadn't been in before and helped navigate the menu and gave suggestions. Very nice guy! Tonight the barista was super rude. No greeting, looking down, and seemingly annoyed with me and my friends. She gave a smug sigh and walked away after I ordered. The drink was also fine, I got the cinnamon roll latte. After sitting and talking with my friends for a bit, the barista walked by to empty the trash and just looked annoyed. I don't know if she was just having a bad day, but it gave us the impression, we were bothering her. Other than that, the place was pretty quiet, almost library like. There were lots of patrons too! DRINKS The Warlock - this drink is a double espresso with cocoa powder, cinnamon, cayenne, agave nectar, and steamed milk. You can definitely taste the cayenne flavor which gives a bit of a spiced flavor to it. It isn't too sweet, which is something I personally like. The coffee amount is just right and overall, I would recommend this drink. I did get to try a little bit of my friends matcha latte, which was a hot matcha. It was quite bitter, and it didn't seem like the matcha powder was that dissolved. Also, the matcha tasted burnt which might also contribute to the heightened bitterness. VIBES This place is pretty nice overall to study and get some work done. I will say that there are plenty of tables and chairs to sit at, however, the outlets are mainly just at the walls which makes it a bit harder to study for longer time. Plenty of people coming here to get some work done or to just chat over some coffee. The lighting is great from the large windows that they have. Also, the bathroom and interior are clean. SERVICE Service is great! I asked for recommendations, and the person who was taking my order was very helpful. No complaints here! read more

Overall layout is conducive. Plenty of seating. WiFi users- note. You will be logged off after three hours. Plan accordingly. Mostly glowing review here. Ramsey (sp.?) guided me thru drinks- Seasons and standard. Delish cruffin and muffin choices. My one critique would be to fully melt the cheese on the sandwich. I only had to send mine back once. Love the location, which is closer to our house than the original and likewise excellent venue on Walnut Hill. The Cuban is a "must have" sandwich and there's always a solid selection of lighter pastry or croissant options. Love the flexibility of having a small batch pour over coffee or a craft beer later in the day if I'm meeting someone after work. Service, staff and quality is always excellent. This place is such a vibe. Came in from out of town for a good cup of coffee and the place is bright and beautiful. The coffee is delicious. They have a ton of options for coffee purists as well as those who like their coffee mixed up with other syrups, etc. A ton of tables and board games that you can play while enjoying the yummy coffee. Well I don't know why there was only 2 staff members working on a busy Sunday. They called me up for my drink but sandwiches were just sitting up at the counter for a while. My sandwich was good, except it had a package twist tie inside of it. My sister had another unidentifiable something in hers. I was told I would receive a refund so we'll see. She said she had to get help everyone in line first. I intended to go back up for another drink but after our experience we decided to leave. I hope they do send me my refund and I hope service improves. It is nice having a coffee house around here. Update - I'm happy to hear from the owner here, and I'm glad for the humble response. Stopped by on Sunday morning to find this place hopping. I already like the Civil Pour off of Walnut Hill. I was so happy to see the new one pop up near my house. There was a line, but it moved quickly, I ordered a pumpkin pie latte (yes I'm basic), and it was delicious. They had it out in less than five minutes. Everything about Civil Pour gets better, as this location is further establishing itself here. The coffee is not bitter (ahem, ahem... it's like they don't burn the beans there, what a novel concept). Not a great selection of things to go with your coffee, so don't come too hungry. The atmosphere at this location, even when it's crawling with people, just feels very calm and peaceful. You're hearing this from someone who is there almost 5 days a week and sees all sorts of crowds, in the morning. Now, for the heart and soul of this place, which really can't be overstated as being the best part of Civil Pour: the employees. Andy, Steph, Nick, and crew make this place what it is. If you're a regular, they welcome you by name and you feel welcome. You feel like they were standing there wondering where you've been this morning. It is the most amazing feeling and it's something special about them. There was one time and one time only when I went in, and the staff was inattentive and more focused on their phones and themselves. I think it was a weekend and I didn't recognize the gals. It has never happened to me there other than that one time because they make a point, these folks, of making sure every person feels at home. Run, don't walk! Unless you're trying the beer..if so? i got the hazelnut dreams coffee with oat milk. nothing super special, i also didn't get a lot of hazelnut flavor but it's still decent. i also got the avocado, swiss, and sriracha mayo sandwich and i added turkey. the sandwich was very yummy but kinda burnt on the sides. the workers were kind and i like that they play soft music. read more
