I went here to try it out because I passed by it and I was craving sushi and ordering was really easy and also was done in a timely matter. When I got there, it was a elderly couple who are the sweetest, they are so friendly. And they even gave me a drink to try and OMG that drink was so delicious! The rolls would give a 7.5 out of 10 but the cucumber salad is really good. I will give that a 10 out of 10 and the sashimi seems really fresh so a 10 out of 10 also. Their food was pretty good. I wouldn't really say the best but still taste good. Mom and Pop shop seems really sweet & I feel like they would treat you as family. So definitely worth trying out if you're in the area! read more

Amazing food and even better customer service! I ordered take out for my fiancé and I. I was craving hot and sour soup since my throat hurt. I also got a house salad and edamame. My fiancé ordered the P1 (seared tuna) and the Solano salad. Shortly after they texted me and let me know the food was ready and even gave us a Thai Tea, which was so incredibly kind. I let them know I was under the weather and excited to try the soup and they informed me about their wonton soup with garlic also. I am going to try that tomorrow. Everything was packaged so well, I'm sustainable and recyclable packaging. It was fresh, very well made and flavorful. I loved the hot and sour soup, the texture and taste were delightful! The house salad dressing reminded me of this yummy dressing I had on my trip to Thailand and have been thinking about ever since. That was a fun surprise! This place would probably be on my list of, "if all other places aren't open I'd come here". They're kind of "the in the middle road" when it comes to the sushi. This place which is just okay when it comes to sushi. Something was off. The rice was dry. Meaning it felt like it was old and with us being their only customers kind of was not a good look. Now they also have Chinese food too as well. Here is where they shined. We had the barbecue pork chow mein, and it was amazing! It had so much flavor the vegetables were nice and crisp and crunchy, which was delicious. The noodles were cooked to perfection. I was really impressed with this dish. You can tell it was made to order. In all honesty, I wouldn't mind trying their other Chinese dishes. The sushi however is not something I would come back for. So I might actually give this place another shot. But if I do, it probably wouldn't be for the sushi. read more

The salmon sashimi was 9 pieces for 12 dollars which sound like a really good deal until you see each slice is half the size of the sashimi in other places and one piece had a weird hard thing in it, maybe a bone cut off? The menu also said the sashimi came with seaweed salad but it didn't. My partner had their yellow tail sushi (not pictured) but smelled bad and looked really old. He said it was okay. That was four dollars for two. Finally, the bento box was really odd. One of the slots was empty. The chicken was yellowish looking and just didn't taste great. This place is a must try. Food was good. Large amount fresh fish in each roll. The inside is a little run down but don't let that stop you. Menu is huge featuring both Chinese and Japanese food. I was on my way to another sushi spot but I saw that they had AYCE sushi here and I wanted to try it. Place looks like it needs a little remodeling. First off, review is only for the AYCE. You have to ask for the AYCE sushi menu or they only give you the regular one. Definitely, a variety of selections on the menu plus some Chinese food entrees. We opted for just sushi and ordered the Lion King and USA Roll and another roll I forgot the name, all were ok and all over riced. I also asked if they could take out the rice out of my Spicy Tuna hand roll and they said no, they would be a up charge because they would add more tuna. I then said, they can leave the same amount of Spicy Tuna just no rice and he still said there would still be a charge? Ok. now that was just ridiculous. The edamame and miso was ok. Finally, next is the fried ice cream. I had one bite and the fried part was soggy and had a weird after taste. I didn't even know you can mess up fried ice cream. Sometimes you expect to get something wrong or not the best quality when ordering through a third party but that is not the case here. I got a rainbow roll, Tokyo roll and veggie chow mien I asked for no msg on the chow mien and received a text stating they don't add msg but there is also some in the soy sauce and wanted to confirm that was ok with me. It was, and I thought the extra attention was amazing. Most places would have either just ignored the special note or canceled the order completely. I really appreciated avoiding all that hassle. My only complaint, and I can't believe I am saying this, is that the rolls were too big. I know, sounds crazy. But a sushi roll piece should be a single bite. It falls apart if it doesn't all fit and requires more. These required three to four bites each which means they fell apart. I did enjoy the flavor of each bite. I highly recommend this place, even for take out. But maybe not a first date. There is no way to each falling apart sushi gracefully or while flirting or trying to be sexy. Chose this place when you are ready to show your great sushi taste but are comfortable enough with the person you go with to either over stuff your mouth or drop something back on your plate. Been here once before...about 2 years ago. At that time I ordered just sushi for a birthday party. I was not impressed, but it was edible. Tonight I ordered from the Chinese side of the menu. I had shrimp fried rice, beef chow mien, orange chicken, katsu chicken and one order of a "favorite" called the Mexican roll. Order arrived via Grubhub and was all still hot My family was excited as we sat down to explore all of the different dishes we ordered. First up for me was the Mexican roll. I took a bite and was immediately slapped in the mouth with the smell of rank, possibly canned tuna. I spit it out and did not go back for more. The wasabi was like powdered mix with no heat and little flavor. Ginger was bland, not fresh and crisp. My wife also spit hers out and said it ruined the rest of the meal for her. I moved on to the chow mien and fried rice. The chow mien was not well flavored. There was not a freshness to the vegetables and the beef was just asking for the ride...let's hope the rice is better. There were about 4 shrimp in my rice...I paid extra $3.00 for shrimp in the rice. The rice itself was ok. Flavor was subdued but not bad. Shrimp were over cooked and dried out. Let's have some chicken! Orange chicken was supposed to come "spicy". Not any hint of heat...had to add my own chili sauce to it. The batter was not crispy in any way...it was almost sponge like and tasted like it was not fresh...almost like deep fried from frozen pre made. The sauce was good on the orange chicken...I did not get any sort of heat from the sauce, just sweet sauce. The katsu was basically some breaded chicken...seemed like it was made from frozen as well, that was deep fried and served with a sort of bbq and spice sauce. The chicken was lifeless, dry and had little flavor. The katsu came with a salad and steamed rice. The salad had your basic miso dressing on it, but because the hot fried chicken and rice were in the same styrofoam container and had to travel about 10 min, the salad was in a small pool of hot condensated water. That was gross to bite into salad and have it be warmer than the chicken. Seriously...the chef needs to package things differently. We threw away all of the Mexican roll, we threw away most of the orange chicken and all of the steamed rice. We ate about half of the chow mien and about 2/3rds of the fried rice. All in all we wasted about half our order because it was not edible. I have no intent of coming here ever again. I would say that the health department should be cued into this place for some surprise inspections. The owner better hope I don't get food poisoning from that nasty tuna...or the warm salad. Avoid this place. It's not worth the risk. read more

Pretty good place! Both the inside and out could use a little love, especially since the outside kinda resembles a store.. BUT don't let that deter you! The menu has an wide range of food for pretty good prices! I got a Bento Box with Chicken Teriyaki & Gyozas. It also came with a salad, steamed rice, and miso soup. The miso soup had really good favor! Everything else in the bento box was good and pretty filling for $12. I didn't touch the salad because I was a little thrown off by the fact that it had mayonnaise (or at least it tasted like it?) as a dressing. Pretty good place. Came on a Sunday night no one else was here. Wanted to try the all you can eat. First we had to ask for the all you can eat menu.. they didn't just provide it. We tried the avocado tempura super good. Didn't have to wait long. We where able to order more rolls before we completely finished our first round. Its family owned and they where all very nice, but it's a typical all you can eat sushi. They over rice it. Especially the super rolls. But the fish was fresh. The only roll I didn't really like was the DK deep fried roll, it tasted burnt. I dont know if I'll go back for the all you can eat, but I'll probably order a roll or 2 to go when I'm at work. read more

I drove the food Bach and tried to explain it to him and he stated that the food is fine and he gets so many orders. He said he would be a gentleman and give me a refund of $15 of a $37 order. Disgusting! We ordered a sushi roll and couldn't even eat it, it smelled so bad. I swear it was canned tuna, not fresh, it was even grey colored. The Chow Mein had no flavor and the Katsu Chicken was thin and oily with hardly any chicken to speak of. A small green salad with rice and miso soup! I really enjoyed the food overall, my order came in 2 pieces since they were still working on my sushi. My family and I have been dining with Tandy since his first location. The menu has a large enough selection of Chinese and Japanese food, that every member of my family can find something to keep them happy. Their sashimi is high grade. Tandy has even taught me the difference between American style "bigger & more" v purely quality sashimi cuts. Their 2 portion bento boxes are huge! My family had a few bento box meals with chicken and Salmon. The other half Sweet and sour chicken with rice. All good food!!
