The yakitori was overcooked and heavily drenched in what tasted like store-bought teriyaki sauce. The shrimp tempura didn't taste like shrimp, despite each piece having a tail attached. The decorations are cute. Traditional Japanese decor. The food was so delicious. All of the rolls tasted fresh and were full of flavor. We got the rose roll and the SF roll and one more roll that I can't remember the name of and none of them disappointed. Each one was amazing. She was already helping someone so we weren't expecting anything more than something along the lines of "Hello I will be right with you." Most sushi places give a very warm greeting. They could definitely work on their greetings and hospitality. The happy hour is discounted rolls but there is no happy hour for drinks (at least that's what the lady said when we asked). I'd think that there would be happy hour beer or sake or something but when we asked the lady had said no and chuckled a bit and then said that they have water and soda (but it was regular price). Rolls came out fast but it was just us and one other person there most of the time. My party order the Chirashi Don, Unagi Don, and assortment of nigiri, I-80 roll, and a spicy tuna hand roll. The rice was really dry and most of the nigiri smelled super fishy as if the fish was old. The roll was just OK and did not spark any big interest in flavor or uniqueness. The rice was also very dry and hard in the roll. The dons were mediocre. The Chirashi was better than the Unagi Don.
