Wow, what a renovation this place has gone through!ll I love how they have such a diverse liquor collection and special offers. Love their "jukebox box" and the bartenders are consistently warm and friendly. Thought it's small, it packs it in. We went to CJ's on a Friday night around 6/7. It wasn't too busy and we were seated quick. The waitress/bartender was extremely sweet and energetic, she took our order quickly. This place is awesome. This is the best bar in the whole wood haven/ ozone park area. Trust me I've been to them all. This spot has specials from 7-12am every single day. There happy hour is ridic. It's like they want you to come and get fucked up for a cheap price. The food is awesome the cooks kno what they r doing. Disregard all comments on food as I eat there all the time and never have gotten food poisoning or a stomach ache. Very rare to still get a beer for 5 bucks and house liquor for 5$ as well. Came here on a Tuesday night with some friends to get food & a few drinks. It wasn't busy, there were maybe 8 other people there besides us. The bartender dropped off our menus & didn't return to get our order for 15-20 minutes, strike one. After she put our order in she chatted with her friends at the bar for about an hour & forgot about our food, we saw the lightbulb go off in her head right before she rushed down the stairs to the kitchen. Not even exaggerating, we waited an hour for appetizers, strike 2. Of course the food was cold when she brought it out to us. She gave no explanation, no apology, she just went back to the bar to continue socializing, strike 3. Then it took another hour to get the check which she also forgot about, when she finally brought it over to us she said "sorry I forgot about it" as if that somehow makes up for it, strike 4. Hands down the worst service I've ever gotten. You should be at work to do your job, not talk to your friends. The only reason there's 2 stars is because the food was pretty decent, would have been better if it wasn't cold though! read more

I've been here a few times when I wanted to stay local and I've never been disappointed. They have 25 cents wings on Mondays that are simply amazing. They have a Dj on the weekends that plays all different music, and I love that because I hate hearing the same things at every bar. The bartenders have been friendly and courteous. The food is always good. The drinks are always great. I have come here on dates, and also with the girls for a ladies night out. Always a good time! read more

I have to echo the complaints about the service. Maybe this is a good place to drink as a regular, but as someone coming in off the street I received the worst service I've ever gotten in a bar. It took five full minutes to get the bartender's attention. I placed an order for two drinks. She eventually brought me one of them, but then looked surprised when I stayed standing at the bar waiting for the other- she acted as if the request for a second drink was new information. I ordered food a bit later, and when I went up to pick it up I asked for a second round of another two drinks. After standing at the bar another 5+ minutes while my food grew cold and the bartender chatted with and did shots with other customers, she came back to me and asked "What's up?" She'd totally forgotten the order. Horrible, horrible service. The food was actually fairly good, but I don't see ever going back. read more

Came here Friday night with my coworkers to try to get some drinks before happy hour was over...I must say, it wasn't that much of a happy hour. For starters we walked in, & instantly got grilled at by the bartender. I'm not sure what her deal was but she was really rude & standoffish with us up until we gave her our IDs & ordered drinks PLUS food. I guess she ASSUMED that we were either some youngin's or broke bitches. So that alone just put a sour taste in our mouths. But whatever we were there to vibe & have drinks. She brought our drinks & took our food order...it took a while for the food to come but it was actually pretty good. Her shift was going to be over so she brings us the bill & says she's going to have another bartender get us another round of drinks. That was fine, I told her we'd pay everything at the end & gave her a tip. I kid you not we waited like 20 minutes for another round! & we only got it because I called the girl when she was passing by!!! She brings us our drinks & then all is fine. She was definitely a bit more pleasant than the 1st girl. Then we want to leave, so we're trying to get their attention so they can bring us the check....damn near MISSION IMPOSSIBLE. Homegirl is on the other side of the bar taking shots with some old man. I'm like over it. Like you have all these people working at the bar & no one goes up to the tables to check if they're customer needs anything else?! It was a shit experience tbh...we went there cause it was conveniently close to work, but the shit service just isn't worth it. I met some friends here for drinks on Friday night for St Patrick's Day, it's a small neighborhood bar, no frills. Cheap beers, which is a plus. They also have food I think, but I didn't have anything. When I first got there I had no problem getting a drink and the bartenders were friendly enough but as the night went on it was increasingly harder to get anyone's attention because they were busy chatting with their friends and taking pictures with them. I'm all for having a good time while your working but it literally took me over 10 minutes to get the bartender to come over and then an insanely long time to get a beer and a couple of shots, she forgot one of my drinks and when I asked her for it again it took another 10 minutes to get it for me. I will give a shout out to Krista behind the bar, number one, for being my name sake and number two because she was attentive but as the night went on and it got a bit more crowded I didn't feel like fighting the crowds to get to her side of the bar. All in all I did enjoy my time there with the company that I was with and the few drinks I was able to get but I don't see myself trekking out that way again to go there. read more
