    Hot Polish Sausage & Eggs

We arrived at the perfect time for late breakfast/early lunch at CJ's. It was on 1-10-26 around 12pm and we were seated right away in a booth with no waiting. I ordered the polish sausage and egg breakfast which is always good along with the largest iced tea you will find. Our server was Monica and she is always nice, professional and great service to us. Everyone is there having a great meal and enjoying the food along with company. The staff is always great.

I eaten at CJ's before and never had an issue until today. I ordered the fried chicken wings and they were horrible. Taste like they were fried in old grease. The potatoes and corn was dry. Very disappointing.

Hard to beat this place when you're craving some breakfast and fried chicken. Portions are generous. Staff is attentive. And their fresh juices are fantastic for a hangover.

Me and my wife ordered breakfast from this restaurant. My wife ordered the food through DoorDash app. I ordered the chicken sausage plate with eggs, potatoes and toast. When we entered the restaurant we were greeted by staff. Staff were friendly and polite. We picked up the food when the food was ready. The chicken sausage was delicious and seasoned well. The eggs were cooked well but the potatoes needed a little more seasoning. The meal was filling and very reasonable. The ambiance is customer service friendly and the menu has some great choices.

CJ's use to be my go to spot!! I mean they had the best chicken sausage! On my last two visits,I noticed how they started thinning out the chicken sausage patties! So thin that it makes them tough and chewy! They were so thin you could see through them! So you use to get two thick healthy patties, nice presentation on the plate too! To these horrible little things! And when your charging these kind of prices, you have to make it make sense! That was my first turn off! Then #2 if you have a gluten allergy, they will absolutely not switch toast for a small bowl of any kind of fruit! Now how many request could you possibly be getting in the course of a day,for that particular request! Not accommodating at all!

Came here after a funeral service and there was about 10-12 of us on a Sat approx 1-2pm. They were able to accommodate us, which was nice. There's a huge menu that includes Southern and Mexican dishes also Smoothies & Juices. Everyone pretty much ordered something different and all enjoyed their food. My husband got the Chilaquiles and I ordered the Catfish breakfast. The catfish was a bit thin and I've had better; but it was doable! The servers were really nice and handled our group just fine. The restaurant is in a strip mall and parking is kinda tight; but there is parking in the back. It's a cool diner feel that's larger! Yelp gives a 3, if there were half stars, I'd give a 3 1/2. If I'm in the area again, I'd return!!

Bustling on a rainy Sat morning.

Came in today on a Saturday rainy morning. Why is it in LA that everyone comes out when it rains? LOL In any case, I went with my tried and true. No pics in this review as my dying cell failed me once again-but I did manage to get a shot of the receipt. Service, this time around (the whole crew chipped in as opposed to anyone individual) was spot on as usual. And as the receipt will reflect, you can't beat catfish, egg scrambled well, and tomatoes for what I paid in 2025 in Los Angeles California. Previous pictures in previous reviews pretty much reflect what I ordered. If you value consistency both in terms of level of service as well as quality food, they have it going on here!

Well, well, well let's just say it was so good I forgot to take a before picture! The seasonings were on point as though my Mom herself was in the kitchen! Everything was cooked to perfection and Griselda our waitress was very courteous and attentive! Thank you for the hospitality

Loved this place ! Ate here while visiting LA and I truly enjoyed everything our table ordered. The grits were great (not pictured) & I love how they have fresh juice to choose from. Our service was very attentive and it's a great family atmosphere. I would definitely eat here again.

Cj's cafe is located in midtown area in a large shopping center so Parking is simple to find The Ambiance when you get in is nothing special to be honest but you have a typical diner The service is pretty friendly they were very attentive and helpful as well The food I got the hard shell tacos because apparently that's what they are known for and man lemme tell you they are so addicting ! Kind of messy but so tasty ! The price point is low to medium but not bad overall check them out if your around the area

Cocktails are slightly limited as it is not a full bar, but they do have options. The frozen Spritz was very flavorful, more fruit forward and would be perfect in a hot day. The Nonna's Medicine had a nice complexity to it with the flavors peeking their heads out at different times through the process. For food we started with the crudo, mussels and grilled oysters. The crudo was very fresh and had a lot going on with it's simplicity. Just a great bite. The mussels were decent but really didn't stand out in any way. The grilled oysters, however, had flavor and texture, with a Parmesan crust on top and the oyster and juice underneath. Very good! For pizza, they are almost like little personal focaccia pizzas, cut into four slices. We tried the mushroom, pepperoni and white pizzas. The mushroom has a garlic cream sauce and herb mix with Parmesan. You definitely get the mushrooms, as they are ample, but they do not over power the pizza. Just a good blend of flavors in each bite. The white comes with Japanese potato, fennel, mozzarella and pesto. Another really great bite with the potatoes not overpowering everything else. Finally, the pepperoni with spicy honey. The spicy honey is more like spicy marinara honey sauce, but it works. Could have used more of that as it came on the side. The pizza itself, with mozzarella and pecorino tasted great. Maybe that focaccia is the move? Overall, De La Nonna did not disappoint. Everything was very nice, and sitting on the patio when the weather is perfect is always a move. I would say to skip the mussels but, everything else, give it a try!

In the same vein, we stuck with a similar style of food and ended up at Propaganda. There was little to no wait, which was pleasant. It was a nice day and we decided to eat outside. The focaccia bread and salad came out first, and both were good. I enjoyed the crispiness of the bread, though my only qualms were that the bread was quite oily and the butter and salt were just a tad bit too salty for my liking. The Insalata Mista salad was solid. Good flavor, good dressing-to-salad ratio, and a surprisingly good portion size. As far as pizza goes, the Margherita was good. Tasty, moist, and a nice crunch on the crust. I found it to be enjoyable, though I may have enjoyed more fresh basil on this. I did find it better than the Boscaiola. I got the black truffle honey add on, and it does not go well on this pizza in my opinion. There was virtually no taste of truffle to me, and more of just an aftertaste of oily sweet honey. This was a miss. It's hard to say whether the base pizza was good without it because the flavor profile was just too overpowered by the aftertaste. The Arts District is definitely coming up with new upscale dining establishments, and I'm there for it. I think this is a solid addition. Though this is a wine bar, I don't generally drink, so my review is based purely on the food. Results of their drinks, which is quite an extensive list, may be to your liking! They do have an inexpensive three wine flight, for reference!

Food: - Sicilian: THIS was the winner of the evening! The sauce, mozz, ricotta, and pesto all came together to make a really tasty bite. I've had this same pizza at several other spots in LA, but Prime Pizza really executed it well here. So well balanced in textures and flavors, and the crust was both nicely crispy on the edges and fluffy in the center! - Spicy Pep: Solid pizza, and we LOVE when pizza places use cuppy pepperoni. Nice name, but when I see menus of any cuisine that go out of their way to offer vegan and gluten free versions of everything, it tends to put me off. I know that's an unfair prejudice, but I always assume it's more of a healthy food place for people who complain about regular food than a real tasty joint. Well, I couldn't have been more wrong. Now that I've tried their fantastic pizza, my only sadness is that they are located in DTLA, where finding parking even to run in and pick up things to go is always difficult. So, we were here at first not for the food but because my teen son's death metal band, Institutionalized, was playing a show with the very popular super cool local metal band Diabology. But, hey, if you're there might as well grab something before you leave, right? So We got a cheese pie, which was excellent. Also tried a slice of their white pie, which was garlicky goodness. What really sold us, though, was the Sicilian pie we got. As born and bred New Yorker transplants who have been here a long time, we have never found a fantastic Sicilian. Good, sure, but never great. The pies are never thick enough as far as the breading. Here it was as close as we've ever got. And like the other pizza, the taste was excellent. The customer service was amazing and the cashier who helped me, Melissa, was so apologetic and sweet (obviously wasn't her fault), but this is just another warning to anyone who is vegan and considers coming here. I also came when they were about to close and already had to wait like 15min longer than they said so there's not even anything else open this late for me to find other food. Very disappointing and I will not be coming back for good this time. If I could give separate stars for customer service, I would give them 5 stars but this was unacceptable on the cook's part.
