Went to a show at the Orpheum and decided to burn some time to avoid all the traffic leaving the venue. I'm glad it was open after 10PM, and the gentleman working the counter was super cool, chill, and nice. The pizza itself hit the spot. It was super tasty. The dough was cooked just right. If you're in the area and are in the mood for a quick pizza fix, this place isn't a bad option at all. Ambiance is nice and chill for LA. There are five tables against the wall that you can sit at or one outside with a few stools. I struck up a convo with a couple guys living down the street, and it was good vibes all around Enjoy if you go!

2 slices for $8 any time of day, can't beat that to start with. Crust is super thin, just how I like it and everything is homemade including the sauce. Lots of cheese on the pie. And I actually preferred the crispier slice for that style of pie. It's like a northeast bar pie. James, the owner helped me out and was super cool and talking to everybody. Showed me a margarita pie that was Picasso-esque for name sake. There's a little bar area to eat but mainly setup for takeout. You pay at the touch screen, makes it super easy.

Rubber band found in our pizza! My wife bit into her slice to find a clear piece of rubber band as a topping. It was probably a mistake but be careful!

I googled and found this spot with great reviews. . I called and James picked up. I asked if there was a parking and he said only street parking and convinced me to give it a shot. I took his word for it and not disappointed at all. James handed me some beautiful looking pizzas made perfect. Chicken wings are Fuego.. steak fries on point ..crisp...so good.... The pizza is as good as they say. I'll be back for more. Thank you James! Highly recommended

My family and I went to Picasso Pie Stone Fire Pizza last week. We were quite pleased with the whole experience. The owner was very friendly and nice to talk to. He was a regular "one-man" show, as personally hand tossed and cooked the pies, while simultaneously assisting with any needs with the self order kiosk. He was terrific and an absolute pro! The food was, in-a-word, delicious. The pizza was cooked to perfection and tasted delicious! We want to send the owner a huge shout out and tell him to continue making that scrumptious pizza. We highly recommend this establishment to anyone looking for some fresh, hot, tasty pizza! We will definitely be back!

Wish I would have taken a picture beforehand but it was so good I about inhaled my pie. This spot is newer to DTLA in a location where quite a few restaurants have cycled in and out. After driving/walking by for a few months I finally decided to pop in and check it out. Antonio, I think that was his name my bad if I remembered wrong, greeted me and gave me some background on the restaurant. They used to have a truck on Sunset and Figueroa, but transitioned to this brick and mortar location. The inside had fresh tile on the floor and bar that was very clean. I hadn't been in this location in a while because the previous restaurants were a little suspect, but they really did a good job renovating this spot. The ambience was nice and they had some seating if you wanted to enjoy your food inside. According to Antonio the pizzas were wood fired when they had a truck but now they use propane fueled ovens. My pizza was prepared and cooked in 5 minutes or so and I appreciated the quick service. I'm a fan of brick fired ovens and this spot peaked my interest because most of the pizza joints in downtown are either New York by the slice style or a chain like Pizza Hut. I got a simple pepperoni pie, I always like to start simple and then get creative on the next visit if it's any good. My thoughts are if you can't do the simple things right then I don't want to venture off into anything too crazy. The pizza itself had a nice crunch to it but was still soft and chewy for the crust. I was worried at first that the char on the crust would be a little much but that's to be expected with quick fire pizzas. The amount it was baked though was perfect and the char did not take away from the taste or overpower the flavor. The toppings seemed quality and the pizza wasn't to greasy where I felt like I needed to remove some before eating. The OG pepperoni was $14 before taxes and tip which is really fair for this area. I like to eat so I was able to put a whole pie down but was definitely full. I would compare it to like a medium pizza at another pizza joint. Definitely could serve 2 people if you're not a pizza gremlin like myself. Overall I would give the experience 5 stars and the pizza an 8.5-9 out of 10. Which is high praise because I don't really rate things as a 10 unless it's the best thing I have ever tried in my life. Glad to have found this local gem and will definitely be back!

Cocktails are slightly limited as it is not a full bar, but they do have options. The frozen Spritz was very flavorful, more fruit forward and would be perfect in a hot day. The Nonna's Medicine had a nice complexity to it with the flavors peeking their heads out at different times through the process. For food we started with the crudo, mussels and grilled oysters. The crudo was very fresh and had a lot going on with it's simplicity. Just a great bite. The mussels were decent but really didn't stand out in any way. The grilled oysters, however, had flavor and texture, with a Parmesan crust on top and the oyster and juice underneath. Very good! For pizza, they are almost like little personal focaccia pizzas, cut into four slices. We tried the mushroom, pepperoni and white pizzas. The mushroom has a garlic cream sauce and herb mix with Parmesan. You definitely get the mushrooms, as they are ample, but they do not over power the pizza. Just a good blend of flavors in each bite. The white comes with Japanese potato, fennel, mozzarella and pesto. Another really great bite with the potatoes not overpowering everything else. Finally, the pepperoni with spicy honey. The spicy honey is more like spicy marinara honey sauce, but it works. Could have used more of that as it came on the side. The pizza itself, with mozzarella and pecorino tasted great. Maybe that focaccia is the move? Overall, De La Nonna did not disappoint. Everything was very nice, and sitting on the patio when the weather is perfect is always a move. I would say to skip the mussels but, everything else, give it a try!

In the same vein, we stuck with a similar style of food and ended up at Propaganda. There was little to no wait, which was pleasant. It was a nice day and we decided to eat outside. The focaccia bread and salad came out first, and both were good. I enjoyed the crispiness of the bread, though my only qualms were that the bread was quite oily and the butter and salt were just a tad bit too salty for my liking. The Insalata Mista salad was solid. Good flavor, good dressing-to-salad ratio, and a surprisingly good portion size. As far as pizza goes, the Margherita was good. Tasty, moist, and a nice crunch on the crust. I found it to be enjoyable, though I may have enjoyed more fresh basil on this. I did find it better than the Boscaiola. I got the black truffle honey add on, and it does not go well on this pizza in my opinion. There was virtually no taste of truffle to me, and more of just an aftertaste of oily sweet honey. This was a miss. It's hard to say whether the base pizza was good without it because the flavor profile was just too overpowered by the aftertaste. The Arts District is definitely coming up with new upscale dining establishments, and I'm there for it. I think this is a solid addition. Though this is a wine bar, I don't generally drink, so my review is based purely on the food. Results of their drinks, which is quite an extensive list, may be to your liking! They do have an inexpensive three wine flight, for reference!

Nice name, but when I see menus of any cuisine that go out of their way to offer vegan and gluten free versions of everything, it tends to put me off. I know that's an unfair prejudice, but I always assume it's more of a healthy food place for people who complain about regular food than a real tasty joint. Well, I couldn't have been more wrong. Now that I've tried their fantastic pizza, my only sadness is that they are located in DTLA, where finding parking even to run in and pick up things to go is always difficult. So, we were here at first not for the food but because my teen son's death metal band, Institutionalized, was playing a show with the very popular super cool local metal band Diabology. But, hey, if you're there might as well grab something before you leave, right? So We got a cheese pie, which was excellent. Also tried a slice of their white pie, which was garlicky goodness. What really sold us, though, was the Sicilian pie we got. As born and bred New Yorker transplants who have been here a long time, we have never found a fantastic Sicilian. Good, sure, but never great. The pies are never thick enough as far as the breading. Here it was as close as we've ever got. And like the other pizza, the taste was excellent. And, as native New Yorkers, we know our pizza! Strongly recommended! Can't wait to get another Sicilian pie in the near future with some toppings.

I finally went back and tried one of their vegan pastas I hadn't tried before, and there was meat in it (pancetta). I literally am feeling sick to my stomach--I'm pescatarian + non-dairy and stopped eating meat in 2013 so I'm sure you can imagine. The customer service was amazing and the cashier who helped me, Melissa, was so apologetic and sweet (obviously wasn't her fault), but this is just another warning to anyone who is vegan and considers coming here. I also came when they were about to close and already had to wait like 15min longer than they said so there's not even anything else open this late for me to find other food. Very disappointing and I will not be coming back for good this time. If I could give separate stars for customer service, I would give them 5 stars but this was unacceptable on the cook's part. Do not risk it if you are vegan.
