The owner is super friendly, gave us a quick rundown of the ingredients he used in the pizzas, and provided us with a ton of napkins, paper plates, and condiments. All of which were much appreciated. The Alfredo pizza, however, was just average in my honest opinion. Crust was thick and doughy. Alfredo sauce was salty. I'm glad it was open after 10PM, and the gentleman working the counter was super cool, chill, and nice. The pizza itself hit the spot. It was super tasty. The dough was cooked just right. A real unassuming place at the edge of the Santee Alley area. We came in around the time they opened for the day and ordered a pepperoni and a cheese pizza. It felt like a subway station, in a good way, with the brick and metal pipes built into and around the restaurant. I googled and found this spot with great reviews. . I called and James picked up. I asked if there was a parking and he said only street parking and convinced me to give it a shot. James, the owner, gave us more than just great food--he gave us an experience. We ordered a pepperoni pizza (which was delicious), and while we waited, James tossed the dough in the air like a true showman. The whole place had this relaxed, city-casual vibe that made us feel right at home. Then, to our surprise, James jumped into a live rap performance--not just for fun, but with real skill and intention. You could tell he's a true artist and musician. Wow, I am so disappointed. Don't go here expecting anything like you see in the photos this must be a different way. They're making their dough the way they're cooking their pizza. There's no char. The pizza is so thick. I thought it was gonna be light and airy and have a nice crust from the pictures. In the photos It looks amazing. It is not that pizza. It's heavy and thick and the dough isn't even cooked all the way the undercarriage is white all the way the entire thing is white. There's no color no Flavor. It's awful. I feel like I just wasted $20. They claim this is artisan pizza. It is absolute trash even the pepperoni was disgusting. He put the cheese on top of the pepperoni so it didn't get any char or any flavor. That's when the flavor of the pepperoni comes out is when it gets the heat from above, and the oils in the flavor of the pepperoni is released, and it gets a slight jar on it . The entire pizza was so flat there was no air in the crust. There was it was awful. don't go here you will regret it and they need to change their photos in on their menu because this is nothing like what they show in their photos. My stomach already hurts from eating this crap. I only ate two slices now I think I'll just give the rest to a homeless person. I hate throwing my money away like this. read more

He was a regular "one-man" show, as personally hand tossed and cooked the pies, while simultaneously assisting with any needs with the self order kiosk. He was terrific and an absolute pro! Wish I would have taken a picture beforehand but it was so good I about inhaled my pie. This spot is newer to DTLA in a location where quite a few restaurants have cycled in and out. After driving/walking by for a few months I finally decided to pop in and check it out. Antonio, I think that was his name my bad if I remembered wrong, greeted me and gave me some background on the restaurant. They used to have a truck on Sunset and Figueroa, but transitioned to this brick and mortar location. The inside had fresh tile on the floor and bar that was very clean. I hadn't been in this location in a while because the previous restaurants were a little suspect, but they really did a good job renovating this spot. The ambience was nice and they had some seating if you wanted to enjoy your food inside. According to Antonio the pizzas were wood fired when they had a truck but now they use propane fueled ovens. My pizza was prepared and cooked in 5 minutes or so and I appreciated the quick service. I'm a fan of brick fired ovens and this spot peaked my interest because most of the pizza joints in downtown are either New York by the slice style or a chain like Pizza Hut. I got a simple pepperoni pie, I always like to start simple and then get creative on the next visit if it's any good. My thoughts are if you can't do the simple things right then I don't want to venture off into anything too crazy. The pizza itself had a nice crunch to it but was still soft and chewy for the crust. I was worried at first that the char on the crust would be a little much but that's to be expected with quick fire pizzas. The amount it was baked though was perfect and the char did not take away from the taste or overpower the flavor. The toppings seemed quality and the pizza wasn't to greasy where I felt like I needed to remove some before eating. The OG pepperoni was $14 before taxes and tip which is really fair for this area. I like to eat so I was able to put a whole pie down but was definitely full. I would compare it to like a medium pizza at another pizza joint. Definitely could serve 2 people if you're not a pizza gremlin like myself. Overall I would give the experience 5 stars and the pizza an 8.5-9 out of 10. Which is high praise because I don't really rate things as a 10 unless it's the best thing I have ever tried in my life. Glad to have found this local gem and will definitely be back! read more

What I love about this place is the texture always comes out perfect! Crunchy but not burned. Stringy cheese and perfect taste in the pepperoni. Not too greasy and oily. Just, perfect! They only use fine Ingres for I can taste it. Believe me, I know pizza! Dough is made fresh daily! Their service and hospitality is above average. My partner and I planned a wonderful trip to LA...I hadn't been there in a decade, she'd never been. And everything went wrong. And I mean everything. One of the few things that didn't go wrong was finding this spot. The gentleman who was making the pizza (I'm sorry, I didn't get his name, which was rude of me) was exceptionally friendly and welcoming, he treated the other customers with dignity and familiarity, let my partner take video of him doing his dough flipping and was just genuinely pleasant. And then there's the pizza. Holy heck was it good. You know what? Good isn't even close. It was perfect. It was only a basic pepperoni, but what we got for our money was insane. It was prepared with care, baked perfectly, was absolutely HUGE, the cheese and pepperoni were perfectly distributed and the crust was just the right balance; not too thin, not too thick. And the flavor...get out of here. Just awesome. The pepperoni had the right amount of kick, the sauce was both sweet and tangy with a kick of black pepper, the cheese had a wonderfully salty character, but remained succulent. In LA at the convention center. My son recommended Picasso's and I'm glad I listened to him. Small, family-owned joint with only a few small tables but eating there was a big plus.
