Where do I even start, this place is such an amazing place and experience. The pizza is incredible. The people make it with so much love. The service is outstanding, they make you feel like your home once you get in. I just moved into Los Angeles and I go here so much for some great slices of pizza. If you're not convinced, consider this recommendation from me! The ambience is amazing. They have TV if you're looking to watch sports and eats some pizza and wings 10/10

As a non-football fan, stuck at a Superbowl party in Japantown, I was more than glad to volunteer to go pick up the pizza. The party already had buffalo wings, fries, spinach & artichoke dip and chips but the attendees had a ravenous appetite, fueled by one of the most boring Superbowls I've ever seen and despite my best efforts, I have been to many parties just like this one, watching 'The Game.' (Give me a good Lakers or Dodgers game over the Superbowl any day, am I right Angelenos?) It being a nice day, I decided to take the 0.8 mile walk to pick up the pizzas for everybody, giving me a chance to take in the city that birthed me while also getting some fresh air. Unfortunately for me Prime Pizza down the street was so behind on their orders, they stopped taking new ones, resulting in me walking to Braazo Pizza a little further down the street. My walk was filled with what the real Los Angeles looks like today, with all it's beauty and it's flaws. Along my walk I was encountered by the homeless, too many to count, doing various things from arguing, crossing the street illegally, panhandling, sleeping and doing their choice of drugs out in the open without a care in the world, well perhaps some cares. At the end of this non-filtered walk through LA I arrived at Braazo's Pizza, a cozy restaurant with humongous New York style pizzas. After gulping down a beer and picking up our order, I did my best to walk back, holding three pizzas and avoiding eye contact with the hungry residents of Main Street. Let me tell you my friends, the walk back was half the time of the walk there. Once back in the condo, I was greeted like a hero for bringing the giant Hawaiian, Sicilian and Mama Mia pizzas. I didn't even get to tell the rest of the party about my journey down West Coast Gotham City, in fact I almost lost a hand as a group of people bum rushed me, grabbing the pizzas with the stealth and brutality of a starving cheetah. Now, some readers may ask, was the trip worth it? It was an experience I wouldn't take back and although their pizzas were tasty, there are better New York style pizzas to be found in the Japantown/Downtown area. Keep searching for new experiences and staying out of Westcoast Gotham City at night my friends....

I ordered this pizza to my office through Uber eats, it got here pretty quick faster than the estimated arrival time and it was still warm. It's a very thin slice New York style pizza. The sauce is really good. The crust is good I like the pepperonis my only complaint not enough pepperonis and the pizza was really greasy so if you're wearing a shirt that you like be careful cause it may drip grease on it but overall, I will definitely eat it again. It's a really good pizza.

Five stars off the bat for having Gluten Free! I came here after a concert near by with my daughters, it was late and we were all really hungry, this was a great choice. It's pretty laid back and they offer a lot of different pizza choices. Prices are pretty fair, ambiance is okay, it's downtown LA, locations a little different but hey, if you're in the area and want pizza I'd recommend trying Braazo Pizza.

5 stars all day!! Braazo Pizza in Downtown LA is a dope spot with really cool vibes. The atmosphere is on point and having a full bar makes it even better. Perfect place to kick back with friends, watch a game, grab drinks and eat some legit pizza. The pizzas are HUGE and super good. Real NY style pizza with great flavor and crispy crust. Definitely one of the better pizza spots in Downtown Los Angeles. Good food, good drinks, good vibe. I'll definitely be coming back. read more

I had a small conflict due to the charge. The matter got resolved but I was told that the menu on the wall is not reflective of the actual charge for the pizza. I hope that the manager can make the changes on the wall menu to avoid Customer's having g a painful bill dispute. read more

What an experience!! The moment I walked in I was greeted so sweetly by Rafael and had all my questions answered about the menu. I got the Sicilian with marinara and pesto as well as the buffalo slice and wow! You can even get free toppings during happy hour. And the all around inside of the restaurant felt so cool! We had stopped at the Audio Graph Beer Co. after a long walk around downtown, for a couple of beers. My girlfriend and I were hungry and the server had suggested Braazo as the local pizza delivery place. Our order was placed around 8:17 PM, The delivery time was slotted for 8:43 - 8:54 PM. The food came after 9, so I was a lil upset, however the pizza and wings made up for it as it was still piping hot and the flavor for both were really good. I would order from this place again, just be patient. read more

Came here on a whim late night on Friday. Got the vodka pizza with chicken and the sweet and hot pepperoni. Pizza was really good!! Soft and fresh definitely would come back. They also have booths and seating indoors which is nice. They serve beer and they're going to start offering pasta they said so will definitely be back to try that. Servers are very friendly too. If you come here park on 7th and Los Angeles there's a parking structure there with security so you can eat in peace. Overall 10/10 read more

We remained calm and tried to cooperate, but immediately after we finished eating, he falsely accused us of not ordering anything and demanded that we leave. The situation became even more unacceptable when he physically pushed members of our group toward the exit while continuing to curse at us. We were paying customers and did nothing to justify being verbally abused and physically removed. The owner is apparently named Jake. Management should seriously investigate what happened. Nobody should be treated this way. I will never return and strongly recommend avoiding this business.

Whether having drinks or a meal, this was the perfect setting. Each person on staff was very welcoming and enthusiastic, and they hit the right notes in terms of helping to set the atmosphere. We were recommended the sticky Japanese sweet potato and informed that the skewers would also be delicious and filling. The king salmon skewer and glazed pork belly skewers were indeed amazing. It was obvious that each culinary item was treated with great attention to detail. For me personally, the shoyu, pickled daikon, and rhubarb on the pork belly truly created that perfect bite. Needless to say, I cannot wait for my next trek to the magnificent Checker Hall.

The sauce got that real flavo, like somebody's abuela or nonna been in the back slow-cookin' it for hours. A lil sweet, a lil tangy, and it just grabs the spaghetti like they meant to be together. No watery mess, no disrespect. Just real, balanced sauce that lets the pasta talk too. You feel me? Rafa also got Alfredo! That joint surprised me. It's new too, and I thought it might be heavy like most places, but nah. Creamy, smooth, but it don't punch you in the face with dairy. It's like... it shows up dressed nice, knows how to act. I have been to almost every corner of LAD, and this place hits the spot. Joined with a few of my friends, we decided to try to this place out. Entering in, it really felt like a pizzeria, and the smell was so richly dense and fantastic. Ordered a few wings, drinks, and large pizza to share and just had a great time eating. When your inside, you won't realize your in Los Angeles, but in New York eating genuinely made NYC pizza. My friend got some mild wings to eat, and I gave it a try as well. The texture was good, slightly crunchy on the outside, and very moist and flavorful. Simple, yet hard to make these folks just nailed it for me. Did I mention the staff are just the best? If you look the hours, these folks are open until 3 am, which should say something. Reminded me a lot of my visit to NYC, and I'm very happy it is very close to me. read more

Terrible service. We ordered delivery at 8:53pm, and were notified that we will receive the order by 9:54pm (we are 10min away from the restaurant). Comes 10:00pm, we receive no sign of delivery, so I called and the hostess put me on hold for 5min. Comes 10:05pm, I got to ask her what the order status is, and she told me they were out for delivery. 10:30pm, I called the restaurant, only to find out that they put in the order wrong so it will take some more time AND that it will be out shortly. WTF. U just said the delivery went out 3min ago. She have me excuses saying that they were "slammed", but had no decency of apologizing for the delay. Now is 10:40, still havent received the food. DO NOT order a delivery from this place. Terrible terrible service, not recommended read more

I've been the #1 fan of this pizza connoisseur for some time. This establishment commands attention from anyone who enjoys high quality pizza. On my visit today I got to meet the owner. And I have to say meeting him enhanced my appreciation of the food and experience they present. The owner was kind enough to show me how the tomatoes are hand ground using traditional pizza sauce making equipment. It was clear there was passion for the food his restaurant makes. The pizza is my favorite anywhere and worth a significant drive or if you happen to be in the area, worth picking yo and taking home for the next day. The pizza was made to order, with a crispy crust and gooey cheese, and generous amounts of pepperoni slices. The pizza was freshly prepared and hot, and the aroma alone made my mouth water. The sauce was the perfect combination of sweet and tangy flavors, and the cheese was perfectly melted. The pepperoni was not overly greasy and had a pleasant, smoky flavor. For some reason my original review vanished. Let the record show that Braazo Pizza lets unstable people inside who harass customers. It's a dangerous place and even after I complained, employees turned the other way. A couple left as well, before I walked out, too. I was not able to enjoy the food I bought because of a customer who kept coming up to me and making a scene, physically flailing his arms and huffing and puffing like a child. The Braazo staff did nothing to make me or the couple feel protected. Stay away!! read more

Their bbq chicken and pepperoni pizza are my favorites. They have a thinner crust and come loaded with ingredients. They cover every slice proportionately. The chicken is so tender and soft and the pepperoni is very tasty and not too salty. Furthermore their slicesnare large so about two is more than enough for me. I'd say a pie could easily feed about 4 hungry people. They also have pretty good chicken wings as well. Will usually always get this in the side. Really trying to support local business right now but going to be honest in this time of uncertainty it's nice to be depend on some things so we were nervous to try pizza from a new place it's always hit or miss. But honestly this place was amazing and really lived up to the hype. The pizza was so flavorful and vibrant. Pizza is ok, not the best. Sure, the mentally ill homeless Black guy was in the wrong but that does not give a staff member to say "F**k your mama, n**ger" mutiple times to him. And the rest of the staff who were involved remained silent. Yes, there are lots of mentally ill homeless people who happened to be Black downtown harassing businesses not knowing the effect of their actions. Perhaps, your business should be in an all White or Asian neighborhood where your racism won't come out? read more

I had an amazing time tonight at an art show with some great friends and afterward, we were craving some pizza. We stumbled upon this fantastic spot that sells pizza by the slice. I don't know what happened to this place, very rude person on the phone, I order to go order they said 40 minutes depending on what I order, really? that long when I got there the girl at the front was very rude and its unfortunate because this was my Friday night stop after work.
