We have a one-car family and they were able to provide us with a loaner for this latest service, which I really appreciated. The owner, Paul, is easy going and professional, and is really good about keeping you updated on the status of your car. SPRINTER OWNERS BEWARE!! I had a TERRIBLE experience at CK auto. Went in for preventative maintence, and broke down an hour after leaving the shop. He sent a mechanic to look at it, who said it's a fuel pump that went bad and I would need to get towed back with NO HELP from Paul, the owner of CK auto. After I got towed back there...I insisted that he had ordered the wrong part because I don't have a pump in my tank. He told me he looked it up. He dropped my tank... to find now fuel pump. This is the type of care and action that went down the next FIVE DAYS while 3 different mechanics tinkered with my van, randomly Changing out parts- none of them Getting the engine to start. Paul told me that he had no idea what was wrong with my van and that I needed to get towed from his property because he was "losing money" on me... the Mercedes dealership service center was book months out and Paul did not help me find a place to take my van, but his landylazy came and screamed at me and told me the cops would come if I didn't move my van by the end of the day.... Paul never gave me a refund... he YELLED at me when I told him I was displeased. The list of ways he wrong me goes on and on and on and on, but I'm actually getting pretty upset writing this. I live in my 03 T1N and it's a vanlifers worst nightmire to end up at a mechanic like CK AUTO, but it's a real sick joke when you choose this mechanic who you have to drive several hours away to because he claimed to know your vehicle so well... I had to move back into my van after so many days of promising it would be fixed. When I arrived I was horrified. They cranked my van 1000 times (yes Paul, I had to replace my battery when I left you too) Paul would leave the shop at 3pm most days. Not say anything to me- no update. Hello all I wanted to share all to familiar story of getting your vehicle serviced by factory dealer service centers. MZB I went to my local Santa Rosa Mercedes-Benz dealer for some service, they were very kind and Professional but they were very busy and backed up and it was going to take more than a week for me to get service and I was only in town for a few days visiting family, I decided since it was going to take a long time to use yelp to find a service center to get my car repaired before I drove back to Southern California, I happen to call CK service center 4-3/4 stars and the owner was extremely helpful and professional, he calmed all my fears that he would be able to service my car to the factory specs, being a approved Mercedes service center, I was happy with the way I was treated, I decided to do business with CK, the staff was incredibly nice professional , they offered to pick me up and take me to my location while they service my car and fit me in to their already busy schedule, knowing that I had to leave town, it's nice to see that kind of courtesy and to sweeten the pot the cost was just a hair over 60% of the Mercedes factory service center pricing, I must say, I strongly suggest shopping around when it comes to servicing your vehicle , but my recommendation is a five star recommendation for CK and all of his staff. This place was fantastic! I had a problem with a complicated suspension system, which became inoperable nearby. I had received an estimate for the same repairs from the Mercedes Benz dealer in Santa Monica (before going on my trip) which was almost three times my final bill with CK. Despite being busy, they were willing to inspect my car and got the repair done extremely quickly - before other shops even had time to look at it. If you have an old Mercedes that you want to keep on the road without investing any more then you ABSOLUTELY have to maybe this shop is for you. I have taken two Mercedes to this shop. The first one resulting in me going to a Mercedes dealer 100 miles of picking it up from CK. I called the office and after talking to the owner he assured me it was a miscommunication. So I tried CK again. The second time was a complete disaster my car showed no signs of being serviced. Unless you count the broken mirror and visor the mechanic broke. So, first impressions are very important to my wife and I, especially when it comes to business relationships. Paul could not be more hospitable, helpful and courteous than he has been. Even on the phone he is really nice and a wealth of knowledge. When I finally did bring my wife's ML430 into the shop, Paul gave me a thorough walk through of what needed to be done and the time and expense to do it. He is happy to go the extra mile to make sure that everything is in good working condition. Before I met Paul, I was under the impression that any MB mechanic will hang you by your ankles to shake the money out of you as soon as you set foot in their shop. Paul knows what he's doing, is fairly priced, and always beats the dealer on time. I only go to the local dealer for recall warrantee issues, CK handles the stuff I pay for. A loaner to get me home and back and quick accurate communication about what needs to be done and costs. It rarely takes more than the day to finish. It doesn't get better than this. read more

My favorite mechanic, been going to him for close to 7 years now. Paul is honest, friendly, and reliable. He even did some easy fixes for me for free! I trust him to not overcharge and to tell me exactly what needs to be done to my car. It's easy to get in touch with him and he's a great communicator. He returns calls promptly, calls if there are delays or additional issues, and gets my car back to me on time. Reasons why Paul is awesome: The first time I had major trouble with my car, he gave me a free quote and took the time to answer all the questions I had regarding every item on the quote. The quote was still costly, so on a whim, I took my car to another Mercedes mechanic to see what they had to say. They charged $80 just to do the quote and charged 50% more for each of the line item repairs! They also added on a bunch of other items that weren't in Paul's quote. I called Paul back to discuss the "extra" items and he said that while I could do the "extra" repairs, they weren't really necessary at the time. It's been 5 years since that quote and I still haven't had to do the "extra" repairs! I also had issues getting my car smogged since my 1996 C280 required some special handing (1996 was the first year of OBD-II and my car was not fully compliant with the OBD-II specifications). This meant the smog technician needed to perform extra steps to get it to pass and the technician had no idea what to do and kept failing my car. Paul called the smog place for me and straightened everything out; my car passed smog with no problems. The smog place was annoying, but Paul fixed the situation and this wasn't something that he even had to do. read more

SERIOUSLY, who does that? That was my first time at his shop and he didn't know me at all yet he treated me like a person and not just some naive customer that he could squeeze the pockets of. He obviously saw a guy that needed to get his vehicle back on the road and he wanted to help make that happen. Now obviously, when you need professional assistance in any industry and you get referred to an honest person with rich integrity, who happens to be extremely knowledgeable, there is no need to look any further. That being said, over the last 6 years I've consistently gone back to CK Auto for all my minor & major repairs. Each experience has always been the same. ALWAYS! Honest, quality work, and timely.
