This tea shop's atmosphere is quaint, cozy, fun, and feels very much like a co-op (from the entrance and the tea-sipping area). The entrance is a little hard to spot as it's not like a typical store front, it's more of a hut, with straw walls that you need to identify to go in. The outdoors section is covered by an awning and the indoor tea-sipping area has deep set couch-like chairs. Several events are hosted here like poetry readings, and it's lovely to see the community that shows up here. The selection of tea is very fun to shop through--there are different sections like medicinal to mood-based teas (I've uploaded a few that I found quirky and delightful). You can buy a packet of the tea leaves, or find the flavor you want and then tell the counter who'll brew up a cup for you (hot or cold). My gripe here (and why I removed a star) is that they don't explain what the notes/composition of the tea are, and when I asked the server, he said he didn't know either (which felt odd given how expansive this tea shop is). I recommend parking anywhere in the Claremont village and then walking over, as it's a little hidden and few spaces in the lot adjacent to it.

    #12 throat tea

I don't understand the racist comments. I am a brown Asian lady and the Asian lady in the front was nice. She did hurry me but I know that's how people work. I got the number 12, a throat tea. I was hot, because if the weather, so I did get it iced. Despite the tea being cold, it did help my throat from the sore throat I have been dealing with. What I wish she would have told me was that it has boba included. I'm glad to have found a tea place that doesn't consist of it being a boba shop, masquerading as a tea shoppe.

    #122 Mind relaxing tea

I was having a rough day and was looking for a place to unwind and relax my mind. During my search this tea place came up. First it was very hard to find because it is located in an alley behind Some Crust in Claremont. When I walked in the ambiance was really quiet and peaceful. The tea display was set up so nicely. When I first walked in the lady at the counter was so rude. I mentioned I wanted a cup of loose leaf tea and she yelled at me "WHAT NUMBER". I mentioned I never been here before and if she could suggest a tea to relax my mind. She seemed frustrated and marched over to some teas and pointed at them. I ended up searching myself. Once I ordered she asked me if I wanted it hot or cold. I told her hot. I went to the restroom and came back to ask if my tea was done, she said "in a minute" . She had her had down reading something and she seemed as if I interrupted what she was doing. She mumbled under her breath and handed me my tea, which was COLD. I told her I asked for hot, to keep from going back and forth I said, "It is okay, I will take it". Overall the tea is good, but I won't be back. Especially after looking at the rest of the reviews. I don't care how good the product is. If the customer service sucks you lost me as a repeated customer.

    Peach blossom tea. Pretty.

Such a cozy spot in Claremont! I tried the Peach Blossom tea and highly recommend it. Watching the tea bloom in the cup is a beautiful experience, and it tastes just as good as it looks. Will definitely be back.

Hidden gem! Never knew this place existed since it's tucked away! Plenty of outdoor and indoor seating. A huge range of teas that help with different things! Over 100 teas to pick from!! The woman in the front was super sweet! Will definitely be coming back!

The tea selection is expansive. Had an ice tea and enjoyed it much. The portion was substancial.

Not much for snackery but lots of choices for tea. Indoor and outdoor seating. Games and such to play with and talk about.

The tea is really good! And it's very different. I would come back for the tea but not for the service, the older gentleman is very rude.

This little joint is so well-kept and aesthetically pleasing, with an earthy artisan vibe that makes you just wanna sit in and chill. The staff is always friendly and quick with orders. They have kiosks here that take your order, which I appreciate. I enjoy being able to take my time and figuring out what fruit I want in my açaí bowl. The prices here are extremely reasonable, I paid only $10. I got the smallest size and expected it to be really small, but it filled me up! They're not stingy with fruits here unlike a lot of other açaí places. My order came out within a few minutes and I didn't wait that long to get my bowl. My bowl was really delicious and I enjoy how their texture is different than other acai bowls I've had in the past. They also only use fresh ingredients here which is something I appreciate. If you're in Claremont, I would definitely recommend this place if you're looking for a good snack! They also offer sandwiches and other fresh food.

So I'm still not entirely sure how the "unlimited" part works. My açaí bowl definitely didn't help solve the mystery. It was filled to the absolute brim with açaí base while the toppings looked like they were being distributed during a shortage. Unlimited toppings, apparently with limited access. Then came the smoothies. The mango smoothie tasted like straight orange juice. Mango may have been involved at some point, but I can't confirm. The strawberry-banana smoothie somehow tasted like vanilla. Not strawberry. Not banana. Vanilla. I checked my order mentally about three times. We didn't even finish either smoothie because they were that disappointing, which is saying something because throwing away a smoothie feels like giving up on happiness. The whole experience was just mid. There are also only two small tables, so seating is basically first come, first served, first disappointed. Maybe it was an off day, but for a first-time customer, this was a miss. The toppings were unlimited but missing, the mango was orange, the strawberry-banana was vanilla, and we left two unfinished smoothies behind as evidence.
