I went with my 6 years old to Culver City location they are so so rude with customers. Especially the girl that do ear piercings. I asked her twice what is your name no answer. The staff here were very rude and unprofessional. While my daughter was choosing which items she wanted the staff continuously was telling her to get in line and wrap it up. There was no announcement 15 minutes or 10 minutes to closing they just closed the doors while we were in there and told us to get in line. We weren't able to make a purchase with the gift card that my daughter received for Christmas either. Very disappointing. The lady at the counter said we needed to use Credit or Cash. My debit card also didn't' work. They said this is an ongoing issue and had no idea when this would be fixed. I need to call and come back and ask if this has been resolved or bring cash if I want to make a purchase there. We hoped to take advantage of the end of the year sale and use the gift card we got for Christmas but no such luck. I don't expect to be contacted by anyone from this store. The staff here is rude and dismissive. I do not recommend getting your ears pierced here. The didn't do mine right and I had to take them out. They are overpriced and charge $60 for standard piercing. I suggest going next door to Louisa for piercing. The staff is friendly at Louisa and they do piercing correctly and they charge $45. I had purchased two packages of fake nails on October 30 from the Crenshaw Mall location. I didn't end up using them or opening the boxes so I went back there to return, but the sales associate said I could not return them because they were cosmetics. I was a bit surprised so I contacted Claire's customer service by email and inquired about if I could return the products. They confirmed that I could in fact return them because they were unopened cosmetics. I didn't get around to being able to try to return it again until December 30 (today), which was just past the 60-day mark. I called the Westfield Culver City location and explained my situation to the store manager, Monique. Even though I was past the 60-day return window, she said I could come by and ask for her, and she would honor the return since the person at the Crenshaw location would not. Monique was very kind, professional, and understanding on the phone and in-person. I truly appreciate her help and will be going to this particular location at Culver moving forward. Last year before the pandemic I came in and I got my ears pierced. The lady sold me on some extremely expensive earrings and told me they were quarter carat diamonds. A couple of weeks later one of the diamonds fell out of the post, I came in and returned it and they exchange them for me. About a month later the same thing happened, I went in exchange them again. The mall has been closed down and just the other day the diamond fell out of the post again so I went in to exchange them again. The manager Karen told me that she could not help me. She told me that I broke the earring myself. And then she told me it was not a diamond that it was actually a cubic zirconia . So I asked her If that meant her staff lied to me and sold me a cubic zirconia yet charged me for a diamond. She basically called me a liar and told me they don't sell that size diamond there. That's the earring that I have is too big to be what they sell. She told me I need to call corporate and tell them. I told her she needs to call corporate it's not my job to fix their malfunctions. She refused to give me the number until I flipped out on her. So either her past staff members lied to me about it being a diamond or she lied to me and told me it was a cubic. It's a waste of money and their management is complete trash. I will never go there again. read more

Came here two weeks ago to get my baby's ears pierced, even though I had some doubts. But two of my friends took their little ones for the same service and they said it worked out ok, so I thought I might as well go. Should've listened to my gut. The whole process was rushed. The dots were lined up. The piercings were right on target. BUT the earrings came out crooked out of the back of the lobes! Apparently, the lady was holding the gun at a slant! I even mentioned that they didn't look even out the back and the lady brushed me off. After my baby calmed down, and I did too (it is more traumatic for mom than baby), I ended up having to take them out. We waited two weeks and went somewhere else (Burbank Piercing Pagoda) and had her ears re-pierced. The second time around is near perfect! read more

On October 6th, 2021 I took my 5 year old daughter to get her ears pierced for the first time. She kept asking me how much she wanted her ears pierced and finally convinced me to take her. We got the location and once we stepped in the store the associates greeted us and asked if we needed help. I told them how I was there to get my daughters ears pierced. The nice young lady explained the process and even asked one of her co workers to come and help to make the process easier for my daughter. My daughter was nervous but with the service these ladies provided my daughter felt a little relaxed. The process was so easy and quick. Unfortunately, at the time I did not get the ladies names. I did return on November 9th, 2021 for an emergency trip around 8:30 PM. My daughter already had a month with her piercings and everything was fine. Until, yesterday when she mentioned that her ear was hurting and once I took a look it was bloody and red. I tried taking the earring off but she was in so much pain that she was not allowing me to touch her ears. My last solution was to go to the location to see if the ladies can help me with the situation. Just want to clarify before I proceed with my review that this happened because my daughter kept messing with her ear to the point where she made the earring so tight that it made the earring start going through her hole. Anyways, so we got there and the same two ladies who pierced my daughters ears were both there. I told them the situation and one of the ladies looked at my daughters ear and she's like okay let me see what I can do to help but my daughter was just everywhere so the other person stepped in and even with the yelling and screaming managed to take the earrings off. I was so happy on how they handled the situation and how sweet they were to my daughter. I did get one of the ladies name which is Dona but I forgot to ask for the other ladies name. I highly recommend this place for costume jewelry that you buy for Halloween or maybe for your children. It looks just like the real deal, but at a fraction of the cost. This particular Claire's has way more stuff in it then I've seen at most but with that beig said, there was absolutely no room for me to push an umbrella stroller through the rounders and racks. I don't even think that's up to code when it comes to people who are not able bodied. No one could fit a wheelchair through this place. I was knocking stuff over left and right with my diaper bag on my shoulder. They really need to consider mothers with strollers and those in wheelchairs. I felt very uncomfortable shopping here but was able to find some cute stuff for my daughter. She is always trying to take my wedding ring off and wear it. I was able to find her small children's adjustable rings to fit her fingers. Super cute, just wish I could've shopped and not been so cramped and felt like a bull in a china shop. read more

Definate amateurs at ear piercing. My daughter's earrings that she has been begging for for 5 years came out asymmetrical. They also lie on the phone about the price and then try to upsell you. I would recommend going to a professional jeweler or piercer, instead, for about the same price. There is probably a high turnover of staff here, so they may be experienced. One thing I did right in spite of my bad decision in coming here, I disagreed with the staff person about where the earring should be centered. In spite of telling her to move the dot twice, the earring landed way too close to the cartilage. If I hadn't disagreed, her earring would have been way outside of center. There was a different staffer on the other ear. That ear came out perfect. read more

This is my 2nd time going to Claire's for ear piercing. I saw that the mall has 2 other places for ear piercing so I checked out those places. Though they had a bigger selection of real gold jewelry, the set up for piercing was "public." Shavon was taking care of 2 other customer before me--a teenager and a baby. All parties were happy with the services rendered & the painless process. Shavon was very helpful & professional about approaching my "situation" of stretched piercing from the past several decades. She also explained that some customers prefer the piercing to be straight or slanted. She asked me to follow her cue for breathing in & out to minimize any pain. I also love Claire branded ear cleaner. It's different than the rubbing alcohol sold at CVS and feels cool & clean. Shavon was A+ perfect and so was Ashley who was helping at the cashier. The set up allows for privacy & calmness on a busy Saturday. Thank you, ladies! Excellent customer service. PS. I much prefer Claire's over Beverly Hills jewelers who charge for piercing. The customer service here is HORRIBLE! One of the employees gave my 15 year old niece really bad attitude. I had not been paying much attention so I needed to confirm with my niece before I said anything to the cashier. My niece of course confirmed what I thought I heard. I voiced my displeasure and disgust to the cashier and her co-workers and instead of getting a simple apology with a change of voice tone all I got was the same attitude denying what I heard and saw. Now not only was I extremely insulted by the way she spoke to my teenage niece, but now I was insulted that she was basically saying that my judgment is wrong. The other employees didn't even try to intervene and apologize on her behalf. They just stood there and watched. The name of the cashier was Allison or at least that's what she said. I don't know how people like her have jobs. She should definitely be fired because I will never spend another dime there. read more
