Claire's Boutique was a staple of my childhood for attaining girly girl hair accessories. I am utterly disappointed that this company has been reported in the news its filing for bankruptcy in 2018 and again 2025. Utterly dismal disappointment. It is becoming harder and harder to find and attain a women's accessory shop since Claire's is becoming less of a presence and their stock and inventory has significantly changed to become less of a women's accessory shop with stupid animated plush toys, fancy water bottles, backpacks, hats, and scarves. I always have a predilection for rhinestone hair clips, barrette clips, necklaces jewelry, and elastic ponytail holders. I remember in early 2010s when Claire's Boutique was fully stocked with beautiful yet simple jewelry necklaces, and a huge variety of rhinestone hair clips... Oh, that was once upon a time in history. Yes, I am a girly girl at heart and no one can remove this from within me. With the reign of e-commerce and its strong market presence for online shopping, Claire's is unable to compete. This Midtown West location at 1385 Broadway, New York, NY 10018 is set to close after bankruptcy filing and there is a signage outside. This location has a clearance sale and "all sales final, no exchanges and no refunds" as store policy. This store supposed opened early at 8am before pandemic and the ppl inside working was very nice and friendly ...but after pandemic, they changed the store hours late until opened at 11am which was fine...but these few months when I went purchased in store...the manager was very ruined in her attitude.. very unprofessional in the way she acted. read more

I wish this store can hold their quality as they go but another hand I kind of understand why they go the way they are now. Online shopping is really effecting this store. Several years ago when I first knew this store and there were full of beautiful and interesting stuff and the price wasn't expensive at all so time had changed. Today when I checked out it seemed like less stuff that I like and so many stuff turned to be a kid stuff more than adult. If you love getting ambushed the SECOND you walk into a store, THIS is the place for you! I just wanted to see if they had cool jewelry and maybe a paper planner or two and one of the employees came at me FULL FORCE before I could even decide if I was in the right shop! Yes, Claire's has everything for little girls and women who want to add a little pizzaz to their wardrobe and they often have great deals like buy 3 get 3 free and most of their earrings have lasted me a long time without tarnishing etc. Even though I would LOVE to shop here on the reg, their employees have to have a better sales pitch then ambushing you before you even get passed the threshold of the entrance!!!! And attacking us with one of their stupid mesh baskets won't guarantee a sale!! Wherever these salespeople get their training tactics, they need to step away and let us SHOP for crying out loud!! I think it's like this in ALL Claire's shops so I won't be visiting them to stock up on cute accessories any time soon and I will be writing to the manager in corporate about training their workers to be less abrasive with customers. read more

Sighs. This store frustrates the hell out of me. Quality of product is inconsistent. The earrings with multiple pairs are almost always mismatched or have earrings missing. The girls seem nice but they don't seem to really want to help you find anything. And also come off impatient. They also seem understaffed. Went in today to buy a nose ring. The lady took it out of the unlocked cabinet for me and told me she'd hold it behind the counter while I continued to shop. Fine. Looked around, found nothing else that I wanted, and went to the register. No one was there to check me out. Waited 3 minutes. Still no one. I gave up and left. You're better off just ordering online if you need something from Claire's or walking down a few blocks to Earrings Plaza or F21. read more

I come here every now and then for unusual or fun accessories. Sometimes i hold off but they seem to turn over inventory her quickly. They have some of the best headband selections like weaved metal and cool patterns that are so light and comfortable. read more

I love almost everything in this store the quality is amazing and last. At least for the tons of earrings and accessories I've bought over the last years. Jessica pierced my nine-year old's ears today, and she was LOVELY. Very kind and a nice calm energy. She went over all the aftercare, and made sure my daughter understood. She made sure everything was very clean. She was careful about finding and marking the placement for each earring, and let us check the spots and confirm that everything looked right. I was very concerned about taking my 13 yr old to get her ears pierced for the first time -- she was nervous about the experience too. I wanted sanitary, competent and kind. Claire's has organized the process with clear written instructions and many many choices of quality earrings - over 30 easily. Additionally, they sanitized everything!!!! Also, the woman who did the piercing was extremely knowledgeable, nice and competent (marking the spot and letting us change it so that the hole was exactly where we wanted). She was fast and patient with my nervous daughter (who promptly hugged her because she was so sweet). We had a very very good experience. Great ear piercing experience for my teen daughter's second ear piercing. The staff were all really friendly and fun and the girl who did the piercing (Emily) was competent and patient, explained everything she was doing and made sure both of us were happy with the placement before actually piercing.
