My mom and I needed a piercing each so we decided to go to Claire's since they didn't charge a service fee and their earrings were not too expensive. Louie was our piercer and he was wonderful! He took his time and made sure our piercings were aligned. You could tell he took pride in what he does. I had my daughter's 9th bday here today and it was absolutely amazing in every way. Aside from the fact that Claire's tends to be a favorite spot for many, the manager and employees went above and beyond to make the party the best. We had a lot of girls, about 25. They made space, added tables inside, and we set up makeup, hair, and nail station. Then they lead the girls in a scavenger hunt and a theatre game. There were many options for activities but the manager, Aileen, and I planned it out beforehand based on my daughter's interests. Then we let the girls shop. The best part is they arranged for tables and chairs (shout-out to the district) outside on the lawn so the girls can eat and have dessert. read more

I came here to get my second earlobe piercing and the girl that did mine was amazing! I noticed she was wearing a name tag that said she had 3 years of ear piercing experience. She patiently walked me through which metal would be best for my sensitive ears and the piercing procedure was fast and painless. I actually went to the Irvine spectrum Claire's over a year ago for the same piercing but the girl that did mine there didn't help me choose the right metal so it eventually got infected and was sore for weeks. So far it's been one week since I got my piercing from the Tustin Claire's and I've had no issues; it's not even sore. I recommend getting 14kt gold if your ears are sensitive! It cost $74 total with tax to get my piercing done. A bit pricey but I did choose the more expensive starter kit. read more

Thoroughly disappointed with their customer service 6/17/19. The worker gave misinformation about their buy 3 get 3 free promotion to my daughter. (worker stated only products with Claire's brand qualified). The worker then told my daughter (whom had a stuffed animal in her hand and clearly with a Claire's brand on the tag) was not part of the promotion. I overheard this and had to step in. Turns out worker wasn't sure why, couldn't give an explanation until she scanned in the item. Then said something about Claire's exclusive brand that are not part of the promotion. I wished that this worker could have said she's not sure and found out the answer before giving information to customer. This same worker also told me that I was in the wrong line for checkout and took another customer. What?! yes, another family was standing near the register after I got in line but to tell me I'm in the wrong line?! The store is so tiny, you can't miss who's standing in line. She should have asked which customer was next if she wasn't sure. I brought in about 10 girls to shop on this day (and they all spent a good amount of $), it was one of the stores my daughter request to visit on her birthday. I had a really good experience piercing my daughters ears here with Marlene. I called over the phone to make an appointment the day prior. They were great over the phone. When I came in, Marlene gave a warm welcome and was very attentive. She patiently gave us all the earring options without pushing anything on us while waiting for us to choose. When it was time to pierce, she made sure the holes were where we wanted it and was very thorough in ensuring both sides were a match. This review is not about the service or this particular store but the quality of Claire sells now. I used to get all of my cute little L shaped nose rings, and I had to recently buy more. My first thought was to of course to go Claire's. I tried to find the ones I usually buy which are shaped like the letter L and the store associate told me they no longer carry those but have ones that you have to bend yourself. So I bought a pack of four or six and it was about 12-15 dollars. They were cute and had little colored gems. I literally went through the WHOLE pack in a week. All the little gems came out and I would notice it a day later! What a rip off, Claire's step your game up, make better products again. I'm just going to hot topic now to get nose rings. read more

Came in to get my 4 month old baby girls ears pierced and left disappointed. After what took some time because there was only one worker present she finally placed the dots placed where she thought they should go. I didn't agree with the placement but she assured me the earrings would be lower then where the dots were... then the piercing took place and guess what. They weren't in the right place. So needless to say I was pissed. She told me I could bring my baby back in one week to repierce and not be charged.. WRONG.. piercings take at least 4-6 weeks to close so despite her having "years" of experience she was WRONG. Very disappointed in Claire's. Very strange experience here. A woman charged me for a tiny jelly toy my baby accidentally opened. I let my children freely explore toys when shopping - and we spent about $40 on hair accessories alone - and another $7 for the toy we never anticipated purchasing. I asked her if it's necessary we pay for it. She responds "I can't resell that, it's open." I asked if we can just simply tape it back closed. It's a clear box and it was originally just taped shut. ***She replies "No, my customers won't buy it if it's re-taped. And I will take a loss."****** Never in all the years of shopping and prior retail experience have I ever heard of this. ESPECIALLY after we just bought a ton of items already. She was really friendly at first, but incredibly rigid and strict about making her SALES GOALS. I had two ear piercings done at this location in August, and no I am not under the age of 18. It was amusing to see teenyboppers come into the store and watch me get the gun, but I don't mind being on display. The piercer was knowledgeable, experienced, professional, and took her time with the piercings. Since the piercing I have had a minor infection and irritation / bleeding here and there, but nothing some of the Claire's cleaning solution hasn't been able to clear up. Make sure you or your child follows the instructions and douses the piercing with the cleaning solution front and back three times a day along with doing the rotations. Follow the aftercare instructions to save some trouble / prevent infection. Staff has been helpful and friendly. I came in afterwards because I lost the backing of a new earring and they offered me free ones. I appreciated their generosity. No major issues with getting pierced here. read more

I'm here to complain about this ear piercing. Before I start, I just want to announce that I'm not mean person. I work in restaurant too. I know how hard it is to deal with customers. There is one one woman who shows me nothing but careless to my issue. I may get allergic or something after I get ear pierced. After two days, my right face is bigger than the other side. So I took off the earring and walk into the store right away at 11:00. There is only one person in the store. She was looking at some stupid paper. I asked for help. She told me nothing about how to deal with my allergic thing. What I got from her is they can do nothing about it, and the hole is closed. She never mentioned anything about refund or treatment about my ear. Then I'm like ok, since you don't care about me, why do I care about you. This is why I'm here to tell you people to avoid this place. A follow up for my ear piercing. After she said it is closed, I just went home and pierced it back myself. This review is based solely on their ear piercing. Brought my 2 kids here to get their ears pierced. We were told that there were two kinds of studs to choose from, gold and stainless steel, and quoted a price for each kind of earring. The young woman did fine with piercing their ears but when we were rung up it came out to $90 for two kids getting stainless steel earrings! It turns out that their was more than just the two sets of prices quoted to us and by choosing a character earring we picked a more expensive stud. We were also made to pay extra for the cleaning solution and that wasn't explained to us either. I'm thoroughly disappointed with the lack of communication that ensued and the fact that I can't exactly return a product I'm not happy with since it's in their ears. Poor form, Claire's. If you're looking to get ears pierced I would recommend going elsewhere more affordable and more upfront. read more

Honestly I don't even know where to start. If you wanna get your ears pierced at Claire's, please go to another location!! I've have three ear piercings and for my 3rd one I went here. To start I asked the lady if it was lobe or cartilage, she promised it was lobe after I told her I didn't want to do a cartilage piercing at Claire's. Come to find out it was a cartilage piercing that she pierced with a lobe gun and gave me incorrect information on how to clean. She also managed to pierce her glove through my ear, then lied that it happened while ripping the freshly pierced back of the earring off. Then on my other ear she pierced it so far to the side you can see the back of it from the front. To say I was expecting the perfect ear piercing from Claire's would be a lie, but wow not ever would I think they would mess up this bad. So so dissatisfied and I wish I had complained sooner, only doing it now because my earring it completely infected due to incorrect information and cleaning tips. read more

We were out of town and I went back to this Claire's on Sunday to tell them what happened. The store clerk, Emily, said that there's no way for me to prove that they did a shoddy job at placing the earrings and asked why didn't I come back to the store sooner. I try to avoid Claire's at all costs, but now that my daughter is nine there's no way to avoid it anymore. This is a pre-teen and teen heaven. To be fair, there are many things geared toward the less sparkly set, you just have to look around. Today we got my daughters ears pierced and Sandra did a great job. She was matter of fact and fast.
