I recently moved to San Dimas and I was looking for a new good Mexican restaurant and found Las Palmas, me and my friend came on Monday for lunch walk in and was greeted right away. Server sat us down and took our drinks so right away she gave us good recommendations, they give you complementary chips and salsa. Food came out and was delicious. We were very happy. Very relaxed place ambience was nice not too loud. Overall everything was delicious and excellent. Will definitely be coming back.

    Crispy Shredded Beef Taco

One of the better Mexican restaurants in the area and definitely worth checking out. The portions are huge -- perfect for sharing or if you're coming in really hungry. The chips and dip were fresh and a great way to start the meal. We ordered the nachos, which were good overall, but I do wish they were a bit heavier on the cheese and meat. The fajitas came out sizzling and packed with flavor -- easily one of the highlights of the meal. I'd probably skip anything with shredded beef next time. It was unfortunately super dry and pretty flavorless. My crispy taco was essentially a fried shell filled with shredded beef. I'll give them credit for being generous with the portion of meat, but quantity doesn't make up for dryness. Service, unfortunately, was below average. There were only two waitresses working, and it showed. It was hard to get their attention at times, and we had to wait longer than expected for refills and check-ins. They seemed stretched thin, which took away from the overall experience. Overall, still a solid spot with big portions and some standout dishes.

    Campechana ( & cocktail)

Couple reasons You know a place is good when they bring u fresh chips and salsa (not canned). I got a salmon taco and campechana thinking the taco would be a small tortia or the cocktail will be a small cup and I was very wrong it was big portions . Super happy with my order both had great taste / flavor . The staff was super friendly . The entire place looked clean not a single dirty table . Great vibes, great music playing in the background . The octopus was cooked perfect very soft lots of places over cook it and it's rubbery not here. Also a BIG + when u see shrimp that has the top vane removed ( poop vane) that means they care to clean and cook their food properly. Will definitely be back to try other items that on the menu .

I can't even keep track of how many times I have been here! So many Sunday mornings for breakfast! + the pozole and albondigas are great! Definitely two of my go to's, they also come with tortillas. + pancakes there are really good! Super fluffy! I always have to order a side of pancakes for the table + Maria is an awesome server!! Super friendly and always takes care of us! Makes sure there is decaf coffee brewing when I come in with my mom. + there are tV's often playing different sports + breakfast burritos are great, I usually can only eat half + they have happy hour on the weekdays which i definitely gotta try out

Menudo. Hot tasty and with toppings in the side.

Great Mexican restaurant here in San Dimas. It's located in a great area surrounded by shopping and food. It's a great size restaurant with a many tables that can accommodate small or large parties. The restaurant is clean and cutely themed. The staff were very friendly and quick to get us our drinks and chips and salsa. The food itself was delicious and full of flavor. I love their rice and beans. So happy we found this place. Will definitely be back and I recommend everyone give them a try.

    Tostada de Ceviche de Camaron

Most of their food is good with the home cooked feeling. But out of all the food on the menu I probably wouldn't order the Ceviche de Camaron again. This is the second time I order it and it's mostly tomato cucumber and herbs and some camarones. Their steak is good and Chile reyenos also.

STILL love this place so much after so many years. The delicious food, the kind staff and the clean, pretty restaurant... Las Palmas presentation of their food does not compare to any local Mexican restaurants in San Dimas.

We ordered a chile relleno and it was complete covered in this watery mess. It was soggy and gross.

Food was not good at all. The Waitress was an older lady and she was very nice but unfortunately the food was just not good at all. The restaurant was empty at 5:00 pm too. Ambiance and service were nice but food was not good. Sorry.

Stated promptly. Chips and salsa right away. The salsa is more sweet than hot. Menus are sticky, sorry guys they need a wipe down. Tables are clean and seems very popular here. Clean inside. Chill vibe. We got a habernero salsa, gren salsa, and the red. All are good. Green is a bit tart. Red is sweet both mild. The habernero has a good slow burn. Margaritas are pre mix. No tequila to add or select! Bummer. No drinks for me. The food was good. Not the best or worst I have had. The bar situation could be better. The presentation was great! I would come again.

Really good food. The chicken salad was amazing. My guy had the Asada burrito and it looked good and big. Beer was good and cold. We would definitely go back. Bartender was fast and very friendly.

    Pozole Soup!

My absolute favorite !Service was amazing as always here , but the food hitting all the taste buds just right. Will all the ingredients that grandma used to use. Great atmosphere with traditional Mexican kitchen setting. Great value for the price. I will be back for more Pozole Soup.

    Chile Verde
    Estela V.

My mother requested breakfast and specifically somewhere that served Cafe De Olla so I brought her here. The restaurant is pretty spacious, clean and wasn't busy. Our waitress immediately took our drink order and food order a few minutes afterwards. We both ordered the Cafe De Olla and unfortunately it lacked the sweetness I'm used to. It seemed like there wasn't any piloncillo used but, I could be wrong. I ordered the Chile Verde plate which was served with refried beans, rice and garnished with some greens. The beans, I loved! Flavor was there and I absolutely loved the Chile Verde. The meat was tender and the sauce was really good. My only issue I had with my meal was the rice. It was undercooked, each bite had raw pieces of rice. The flavor was odd and the color was super bright orange as if they're using an artificial color. Maybe I'm wrong but, it was definitely not what I'm used to. My mom ordered the Machaca plate and she enjoyed it. Her issue was the same as mine when it comes to the rice. The portions are also pretty large which is a plus for me. If you're in the mood for Mexican breakfast you may want to check them out. I probably would not come back but, please support this small business.

    QUESABIRRIA PLATE. Yummy!

I'm not a big fish person but this place converted me! The Cajun salmon was perfectly seasoned and paired well with the garlic rice. It was crispy but not over cooked. The fish and chips were light but flavorful. And the portion size was a plus! Everything we got out was delicious and was large enough to share. Will come back again to try other menu items. There are three businesses all clustered together, each with a separate entrance, so I ended up accidentally parking in a private doctor's office lot and was told to leave. Eventually, I found the small parking lot with just four or five spaces so if it gets busy, it might be tough. But once I got inside, it was worth it! I entered from the back door, which passes through the restrooms on the left and the kitchen on the right, leading to a cute seating area. It's small but super cozy, with a lovely bar filled with lemons, napkins, and lots of hot sauces at each table: at least seven or eight types! But the real star here is the food. The tacos are absolutely incredible! fresh and full of flavor. I ordered three: carne asada, fish, and shrimp. The fish and shrimp both have the option to be fried or grilled, so I went with fried, and they were fantastic. The flour tortillas were perfect, and I also got a pineapple agua fresca. it was ice cold and so refreshing. The price was really reasonable, and I'm honestly surprised this place isn't more popular. Cabo Tacos parking situation is definitely a challenge. There's a lot in the back, but it's super limited and super cramped. Lucky for me I found a spot. The orders took a bit of time, due to the flow of customers. I orders 2 chicken tacos for the $1.99 deal and 1 fish taco. The cost came to around $8!! Crazy good deal! To note: there is a 3% charge for using credit cards. The tacos hit the spot. The tacos were packed heavily with cabbage and salsa. The flavors were addicting and the salsa was a great pairing. The fish taco was bomb! I love Baja style fish tacos because of the crispiness and texture. Everything hit the mark and everything is made fresh to order. I saw they offer $1.99 fish tacos on Wednesday so I might need to return again. Overall, Cabo Tacos was a great lunch spot for me. I'd add them to the list of local Taco Tuesday spots! ( ^_^)b

I ordered the Tai Lan, which is a fun cross between phở and a noodle salad. Sliced tender ribeye sits over garlic oil phở noodles on a bed of greens and fresh herbs, tossed with a shallot tamarind sauce, topped with crispy garlic, and served with a side of their 24-hour bone broth to sip or pour over. The ribeye was genuinely tender, the tamarind sauce had a nice tangy-sweet kick, and the crispy garlic tied it all together. Added some sriracha for a little more flavor and to give it a kick. Best phở I've ever had? No. But it's a clever modern take and I left very full and very happy, which is exactly what I needed. And if phở isn't your thing, the menu sprawls into wagyu phở, garlic noodles with filet, lomo saltado, sandwiches (which look amazing) and even Vietnamese coffee with sea salt foam. Plenty to explore. This is now the first spot I'd send anyone to in the Glendora Public Market, and a real step up from the ramen place that used to be in the same space.
