I thought I needed a root canal and Dr. Atakhanian reassured me that I didn't and that I just had a gap that was causing food to get lodged in that area. She advised that I redo my filling in that area and today I got it done and couldn't feel more relieved. Not to mention, when she numbed me, I HARDLY felt anything!!!! Dr. Clarisse Atakhanian is one of the most professional, experienced, honest and personable doctors I've ever met in my life. There's a reason her Yelp page has 5 stars, because she truly is the best in the area and generally a joy to be around. I love coming to the office for this very reason, because of the happy environment they've created. I go to her for regular cleanings, occasional cavity fillings and for when my tooth chips. They always take me in promptly for my appointments and I'm usually out of the office within 30 minutes to an hour. The staff is always personable, kind and very welcoming as well. My husband is terrified of dentists, so I was going as a guinea pig for him, and she is now 100% vetted! She is the nicest dentist I've ever been to! I went for the first time when I was pregnant, and we didn't do the x-rays to be on the safe side, but she still cleaned my teeth and gave me her opinion based on pictures that she took of my teeth. We went over the pictures together and she gave me a detailed explanation of what she could see and what she thought was going on in the teeth without the x-rays. Located on the 2nd floor of a building in a parking lot (yea, you read that right), it gives the feeling that the building is a chop shop. But Dr. Atakhanian is the complete opposite. She is one of the nicest people you will ever meet. She makes every effort to save each and every tooth. Her work is important to her and she is almost a perfectionist which I appreciate because you know that you are getting great quality work. She is candid, in a professional and polite manner, with her patients about their care without sugar coating it. Some may not like the fact that she is private practice and so she comes in for 10-15 min to work on you. Then she offers you a break so she can work on another patient but personally, I think it's great. How many of us can keep our mouths open for 30-45 minutes for a cleaning? I appreciate the break to catch my breath, get a drink, rinse out, and back to the task at hand. Her office offers flexible hours (open late on certain days, some weekends) that I usually schedule my visits in the evening after a full day of work. The receptionists are friendly in calling you a day early to remind me of appointments. Prices: If you have no insurance, they are some of the most competitive out of pocket fees that you'll find. I've been a patient for 6 years (2 without insurance) and it was great to pay cheap prices. Also, she works with patients to arrange financial assistance with a 3rd party vendor. read more

Doctor Atakhanian is a caring, kind, and knowledgeable dentist. She is cautious about drug combinations and interactions. My mom has osteoarthritis and was on a special medication. She needed an extraction, but Dr. Atakhanian made sure to wait until the drugs are flushed out of her system to extract the tooth. She's always been very kind and attentive to my mom. She makes her feel happy and respected. Her staff is very friendly and helpful. They answer your questions, follow up on any outstanding matter and very respectful and warm. She saw my 11 year old right away and put us at ease with what he may need. I found Clarisse on Yelp because she had great reviews & had yelp deal. I will never go to a place with a Yelp discount again!!!!! At first when I came in Clarisse was very nice to me and gave me a great deal on my cleaning. After Clarisse examined my teeth, she said that I needed a deep cleaning and that I have one cavity. I said no problem, came to her the deep cleaning one day and anther day for the cavity. She did a great job on the deep cleaning, but while she was working on my cavity with my mouth numb, she notified me that there is another cavity. I asked her why it wasn't on the xray, she said because it was hidden. I asked her how much it would cost me to do the 2nd cavity, she gave me a figure which was double what the first cavity cost. I asked her if she can do it for the same price as the first one, she said no and that she hates when people negotiate with her. She said I will give me time to think about it, left me on the chair for 25 mins while she worked on her other patient in the other room and when she returned she asked me what my decision was. I told her it was to expensive, so she finished up my one cavity with a really bad attitude and didn't give me closure on the finish of my dental work. I scheduled with another dentist immediately after, and he found no such cavity, What the Heck!! BEWARE!!! read more

I found Clarisse through 1-800-dentist years ago and have been here ever since. I even convinced my husband to go to her, which was not an easy task. Even he's been thrilled. I just went through the Invisalign treatments, which was a little pricey even with dual insurance, but worth it. She makes fillings almost pain free & tolerates me trying to keep my tongue out of her way, which I swear it has a brain of it's own! I seem to lose control of it from fear of it getting right in the way & cut, poked, etc!!! Just had my first appointment with Dr. Atakhanian, and I'm impressed. She did the cleaning herself (instead of a technician) and with the ultrasonic pick did it quickly and efficiently. As opposed to the cleaning tech at my old dentist with the manual pick, which makes for an excruciating experience. On the screen Dr. Atakhanian showed me where any issues were, and pointed out something no other dentist had noticed that explained why I'm getting a food trap between two teeth. Where to start? Dr. Atakhanian is an AMAZING dentist. I love visiting them and who actually likes going to the dentist? George and Ivette are so kind and so helpful...I don't usually write reviews but today I feel inclined to. I had to take my son with me and he was bored in the waiting room. George had given him chips and kept talking to him to pass the time. I came out mid-treatment to find him sleeping on the chair. The doctor told me to take him to one of the rooms where he could sleep comfortably. She even brought him a blanket! My son wasn't having it, he got scared so Ivette brought a chair and a blanket to the room I was in and said he could wait there for me. George even came to ask my son if he wanted the window opened. Everyone was so sweet and attentive, my 5 year old later told me it's fun going there.
