Prices seemed reasonable (and I had been to several jewelers that day on a shopping trip with a friend so I had concurrent pricing). Will definitely be checking back for new pieces. The shank broke on 5/11/2026, and I took it back on 5/12/2026. The lady who waited on me made a loud production about their one-year warranty and how the damage to my ring was outside of the year. It was 3 weeks outside of the warranty. It was unprofessional behavior and there were other people in the business who could hear her admonish me. She said she would speak to the owner and get back to me. I received a text message on 5/13/2026, stating that I could pay $40 for the repair. I picked up my ring and took it to another jewelry store who looked the ring over to give me an estimate. Attached is the picture I took when they explained that the work that had been done was faulty. There are bubbles in the shank and you can see the lines where the metal was added to upsize the ring. So much for over 30 years' experience in the business. I would expect this type of customer experience with a corporate owned business where profit is the goal over everything else, not from a "locally owned business that advertises that you can trust your precious family heirlooms with them." Update/Response: The ring was not bent nor had it been sized before. I hardly wear this ring, and I never wear it for work, around the house or in the garden. I received this from a grandparent, and it was a size 4 or 5. Fircrest is the only jeweler that I have had size this ring, and that was in April of last year. It broke at the seam of the metal that was used to upsize the ring to a size 8.5. The jeweler that looked over the ring was not impressed with the work and there was no discussion about the ring being bent or sized multiple times.

Tucked into a cozy spot in Gig Harbor, Maritime Jewelers is a true family-run gem. Their selection is impressive for the size of the store: rings, necklaces, bracelets, watches, and more. If what you're picturing isn't on the shelf, they'll sketch it, source the stones, and craft it right there. I asked for a custom Viking-inspired piece to honor my Norwegian roots--think bold silver, knotwork, and a Thor hammer pendant. Eric and the team nailed every detail, and the finished necklace feels like it sailed straight out of a saga. Quality is top-tier, prices are fair, and the whole experience is relaxed and fun. Worth the drive from anywhere in the Puget Sound area. If you leave without something that sends you to Valhalla (in the best possible way), you're doing it wrong. Highly recommend Eric and his crew!

Erick and Ruth are wonderful and they are honest in a business where that is truly hard to find. I bought my first piece from them in October and fast forward to January - I have purchased a beautiful estate ring for my 25th wedding anniversary and as it turns out, it is worth double the amount I paid for it according to an independent appraiser. They have worked on some antique time pieces that belonged to my great grandfather and for the first time in 70 years, it is keeping perfect time! Stop by and say HI to them if you are in the market for a gift or goodie for yourself! You wont be sorry!!

Donna greeted me with a genuine warmth that told me she loves what she does. She's incredibly patient, taking the time to explain the nuances of history in the antique pieces, the metals, stones, and settings in a way that makes sense. She encouraged curiosity, inviting me to try on anything that sparked joy, no pressure--just possibilities. Brandon and Sean kept the energy high with their easy smiles and readiness to help whenever needed. The whole team made it feel less like a purchase and more like a thoughtful journey toward something meaningful. When we decided to upgrade our wedding rings, the experience only got better. I found a beautiful Art Deco piece that just fits what I was looking for perfectly. We both found pieces we love, the price was fair, and the service was flawless from start to finish. If you want a jewelry shopping experience that's educational, stress-free, and truly welcoming--where you're treated like family--this is the place to go. Five stars from us.
