Although I showed up a little late (boo traffic), I was checked in promptly and began the exam with nearly 0 wait time. I saw Dr. Gogel (spelling might be wrong) for the first time. I was anxious because I've been seeing Dr. Olund for a few years and was unsure what to expect. Dr. Gogel is a ROCKSTAR. She absolutely crushes it! She is super friendly, super kind, and explains everything. She took the time to review my medical history before my appointment and did not need me to explain a lifetime of vision problems. You can't go wrong here. The staff is amazing. They truly care about the experience their patients have and strive to achieve greatness in the service they provide. I cannot recommend Focus Eyecare Center enough. I shopped for optometrists for about 10 years before meeting Dr. Olund. I vividly remember my first appointment with her. When I moved out of Southern Indiana I was extremely concerned about my eye care. I truly believe no one is better so I make the commute (only from Louisville, but it's across state lines lol). It started to go downhill when I went back for the exam. It was a question around dilation. Typically they tell you that you can pay a fee to keep you from getting your eyes dilated and takes less time. I was prepped for it. We got to the machine and she said every perk but the fact that to use the machine would be an additional cost. I finally just asked what the difference was and she went back to explaining the process. I cut her off and I asked what the price difference was and she finally said $25. Shady at best. I told her next time she should probably lead with that.

They now have a mobile check-in kiosk which is nice but takes away from the connection with the ladies behind the desk. I saw Dr. Wilder for the first time & he was great! They were polarized sunglasses they made. Called them to see what I needed to do, if I needed to bring them back. They told me no not at the moment. They would reorder them and to bring them in when the new ones came in and that they would call me when they got them. It's been a month now and still no call or text. I called them today to see if they were in and they tell me they weren't aware of the issue and that I need to bring them in since it is only the lenses that will be remade and put into existing frames. My daughter has been wearing sunglasses to school so that she can see to do her work when she requires special progressive lenses and suffers from eye strain and fatigue. If you are looking to buy prescription eyeglasses and would like them in a timely manner then I do not suggest you choose Americas Best. This is unacceptable. We won't be returning.
