    Classic fruit shaved snow $16

This Class 302 location in Irvine is still here after 10+ years!!!!! (I surely do miss the OG Rowland Heights one RIP.) After a recent visit, they got an upgrade. The self-serve boba is still there. The menu is prettier, and food is more expensive. The food is prettier too. I was here because I missed Taiwanese shaved snow. Class 302 still does it the best. I love that they have flan or egg pudding options. Credit card/apple pay accepted Bathroom available Plenty of parking in the lot

Seems like they're a combination of the old class 302 and ever after (which recently closed). I usually go for the self-serve boba tea, but decided to have a quick meal this time. There are dog friendly items on the menu and healthy variations of some homey dishes. I really enjoyed the salted egg yolk and chicken porridge!! Not something you can find in other restaurants. Not a big fan of their popcorn chicken, unfortunately. I would come back to try their other dishes.

I heard that the restaurant Ever After that just closed had moved it's dishes to this location so I followed to try something I saw. My best friend lives in Irvine so we went together. When we arrived, there were only 2 tables taken. They had a pretty mural of Taiwan on the wall. To the left of the entrance were multiple teas with dispensers. We were seated and asked if we had been there before. Since neither of us had, they explained the dining and drink process. We would order our food, then go up to the boba toppings bar to get toppings first then fill up our cups with the tea of our choice! Then they seal our cup! Never been to a place like this! Thought it was super cool! We ordered popcorn chicken, Taiwanese sausage, chili wontons and wonton noodle soup. The wonton soup was interesting because it had spinach and celery in it. Interesting how it worked in the dish. We also ordered matcha shave ice and everything was amazing. We will definitely be coming back since the yakisoba that we initally went for had run out.

Very similar to a drink I use to get at orobae

The food here is great and I love the self serve drinks. The only reason why I gave this place a four was because you cannot adjust the sugar level for any of the drinks. The popcorn chicken is delicious and there's one drink that reminds me of a drink I use to get when Orobae was around. The drink at Class 302 that is my fave is the Phoenix oolong milk tea. They changed up the menu since the last time I came here and it has healthy options as well as more selection on the menu. Fun tip: enter a fun name for your order name on the kiosk!!!

Great place for a sweet treat! I love that the boba bar is self serve and I've never seen this concept before. They also have non-dairy options and slushies! I had this Strawberry Matcha dessert and it was great! I loved all of the flavors, the puddings, and fresh fruit that were put into this dessert. There's lots of seating inside and outside and service was quick and helpful. I'll definitely be back!

This place is better than their Cerritos location. I'm impressed with their milk tea selection as well as their shaved ice. We got the mango carriage and it was absolutely delicious. I think the menu is different and the shaved ice here is definitely better. Service was quick and have a decent space for seating.

First visit as class 302 and we were blown away by the overall concept of one flat price ($7 including tax) for a build your own boba! Their walls are set up just like yogurt land (this spot actually looks like it once was a yogurt land which is ironic because there is one a couple doors down lol) they have a topping bar that the employee will assist you with, and after your done they seal your cup and you're on your way! The teas are all actually super flavorful, the toppings are good as well! The staff is super friendly, their dining area is cute, and they offer a full food menu as well. We will be back to try their popcorn chicken!

Perfect pick me up - matcha boba, crispy chicken and refreshing cucumber

This place was a great spot for a quick boba and snack fix. There's plenty of outdoor seating, which is nice. There a few kids on e-bikes who were a bit loud but it felt like a friendly neighborhood overall and we didn't experience any issues. This place is a self serve boba setup, which can be a little confusing the first time. While I was there in line to order at the kiosk, a couple of people even asked me how to order. You place your order at the self kiosk, then pick up your cup from a staff member. They'll ask what toppings you want, and from there you move to the self-serve drink station to pour your tea. After that, you go back to get the lid sealed. If you order food as well, you'll need to wait at the food pickup area after finishing your drink. We didn't sit down to eat, but I noticed a couple parties were dining in, and everything looked good. I'm especially interested in coming back to try their beef noodle soup. We usually go to Woodbridge Cha for tea when we're craving boba and chicken, but this spot is a solid alternative if you're nearby and want something quick and casual.

Class 302 has always been just been an "Okay" place. I do enjoy taking my children here and the concept of self serve is cool. I haven't tried their food menu items yet so looking forward to that. We went on a Sunday and it was busy and no inside seating. The vibe is a bit chaotic so if you like quiet places/ are an introverted person you may not like ordering here. I'd say it's family friendly :)

I usually make it a point to visit Class 302 whenever I'm in Irvine, especially for their calamari and spicy miso udon soup. However, when we looked at the menu this time, a large portion of their dishes had been removed. The spicy miso udon soup, which is one of the main reasons I come here, is no longer available. I wasn't expecting half the menu to be gone after the renovations. The service was great. The workers were kind and attentive whenever we needed to order or asked for boxes. We also ordered a soup, though I'm not sure what it was called, and it wasn't very good. The noodles had a gelatin-like texture and the broth lacked flavor, which was definitely not what we were expecting. I ordered the calamari and pork dumplings. The calamari is still top tier as always, while the dumplings were just okay. The remodel looks really nice, but I'd consider coming back only if they bring back some of their better soup dishes.

    Seafood porridge
    Vivian ..

The natural, homey aesthetic is gone after their remodel and now it looks like any typical boba cafe. However, drinks are still the same which is nice. You pay for the cup, choose toppings that they add for you, then self serve fill your own cup and give it back to them to seal. Protip: the teas with sugar are VERY sweet so mix your choice with some unsweetened for a better balance. Also, not sure if it's a new item but the porridge is AMAZING, especially in this cold weather. The seafood one was loaded and the portion was huge. I'd go back just for the porridge.

    Popcorn chicken, a bit bland
    Joann T.

    - Drinks are ok, nice renovated bar - pork rib soup - the bowl was loaded with those small dried shrimps, which made the soup taste way too fishy/brine-y. The noodles were a bit stale and they really skimped out on the meat, it was mostly noodles -popcorn chicken: crispy but bland

A staple hang out spot when I was in high school, and while the concept of self serve milk tea is cool, their drinks aren't that good.

At $6.25 for a 16 oz, the baseline expectation is consistency--temperature, balance, and execution. Today's drink was, frankly, the worst I've had here--and it didn't even qualify as a latte. A proper latte should be built with espresso first, followed by well-textured milk at the correct temperature, integrated through a controlled pour. What I received instead tasted like espresso and milk were haphazardly combined, with no structure or technique behind it. The milk itself was improperly steamed--off-temperature and leaving a sour, flat, unpleasant finish. Even after a remake, the result was just as disappointing--tepid, flavorless, and simply wrong. No body, no balance, no indication that standard preparation methods were followed. This points to a broader issue. It's not the first time I've seen staff being trained on the job and inconsistent drinks being served as-is. At this price point, that's not acceptable. Customers come here expecting a dependable experience--whether it's early morning or late afternoon--and that consistency is part of what keeps people coming back. Right now, that trust is eroding. More attention to staff training, quality control, and basic execution is needed.

The space itself is absolutely stunning with lots of seating both inside and outside. The store has a lot of floral decor, which gives it a very clean and spring vibe. The standouts for me here was the banana pudding, Matcha and the array of pastries they had available. We purchased two drinks here, one of which was the banana pudding Matcha and the other was a tiramisu cold brew. The banana pudding Matcha is one of the best drinks I've ever had with a rich high-quality Matcha and fresh creamy banana pudding inside. It's basically two desserts in one, and the flavors complement each other so well. Highly highly recommend - it's viral for a reason. The tiramisu cold brew was also good, although next time I would probably opt for a latte on the bottom since the cold brew is pretty strong. The foam on top was sweet and creamy. The pastries here are absolutely stunning, and I wish I could buy the entire display case. We ended up purchasing a Dubai chocolate croissant and a plain salt bread. The Dubai chocolate croissant was very unique - on the drier side but it definitely had that crunch and flake. I wish they had a little bit more chocolate or buttery elements to balance out the dryness of the cocoa powder. The salt bread was absolutely delicious, very well-made with a chewy texture. I will 100% be back to try everything else that Bag of Cakes has to offer. Highly recommend! We visited on a weekday during the afternoon since it was spring break, and there wasn't a line, but I've heard that lines can get long. There is plenty of parking in the plaza that it's located in. Nothing tasted bad, just not super memorable considering how pretty everything looked. The matcha was also decent but nothing particularly special. The cashier also didn't seem very friendly, but it wasn't a huge deal.
