Stopped by Pandor Bakery on Jamboree and had a really nice experience! If you're into French pastries, this is a fun spot to check out. I tried the Pandor Fog, a Nutella crepe, and a coffee éclair. Even though it was a warm day, I still really enjoyed the Pandor Fog. It was warm, comforting, and paired really well with all the pastries. The Nutella crepe definitely satisfied my sweet tooth, and the éclair was fresh and creamy. One of my favorite parts was just looking through the pastry case. There are so many different pastries, tarts, croissants, and éclairs that it's honestly hard to choose just one. The vibe is cozy and relaxed. Personally, I think it's more of a place to grab coffee, pastries, and catch up with friends than somewhere I'd spend hours studying, and I actually like that about it. Overall, I'd definitely come back to try more of their pastries. If you're in Irvine and looking for a cute French bakery, Pandor is worth a visit!

I've been here multiple times but this place is one of my favorite French cafe. The interior is small with table and booth seatings, you order at counter and sit yourself. I've tried the sandwiches, tarts, crepes, and coffee and all are solid. Sandwiches are generous with filling, also love the omelette since they don't skimp out on the portion. Service can be a bit slow at times due to business but I've never had a bad experience here before. This is my go to place is a have a French food craving.

Came to meet up with family for a nice lunch. For some reason they weren't able to process a gift card for payment. Service was not so great. Not sure if the young man at register was new but we ordered things, did not realize he didn't include them on our receipt and while we waited realized the items were never ordered and they were not coming. The inside and outside was busy with customers. The big table by the counter was reserved but no one was sitting on it. We went to the outside patio in the corner by the other restaurants. My savory crepe was cold because I waited for everyone else's ores to come. I was not too impressed with this visit but still enjoy the food, pastries and drinks.

Simply the best chai lattes and pastries in town. Great service as usual. They now have more covered patio seating which is awesome!

Visited Pandor Artisan Bakery and Café and had a positive experience. The bakery items were well-executed, with good texture and flavor. The menu offers a nice variety of pastries, coffee, and brunch options. The space is clean, bright, and inviting. Service was efficient and welcoming. A solid choice for a casual brunch or coffee stop.

I've been to Pandor and honestly it's a good place for coffee & quick pastry grab, however the food here just seems to decline in quality over the years. Le parisien panini was my fav and can you imagine my frustration when I bite into this and find a sum of two tiny cornichons sliced in half. The concept of this place is great but execution just keeps to miss, I wish the management paid more attention to the quality of food they serve to people. My honest advice to anyone who adores this place is do yourself a favor and visit L'Orange cafe in orange circle, they have exactly same pastries and menu and they actually put effort into the food.

Has some nice brunch type options, but the standouts here are the bakery goods and the gelato. I had the dark chocolate gelato which was yummy and had great flavor. Also, I didn't take a photo but I also got a chocolate croissant that was really tasty. I think they also sell wine but I'm not 100% sure. Would be great to come here for a croissant and a mimosa followed by the gelato.

Pandor is my wondor. The elegant sinplicity of this cafe/bakery keeps me coming back. My go to is the soup and bread which is already some of my favorite food types. The soup is simple yet complex. Always comes out hot and always comes with delicious bread to dip it in. It's not made to stuff you to the brim if that is what you are looking for, but it's great for brunch and snack time. Their Nutella cortado is amazing with the right amount of milk and Nutella to cut down on the severe acidity of regular cortados. Wonderful place. Their membership card is a little difficult to sign up for, but make sure you sign up before you pay so that you can start getting rewards!

Pandor has a great space to enjoy breakfast. I went here and ordered a cappuccino, a croissant, and a Romeo and Juliet crêpe. The crêpe had Nutella banana and strawberries. The croissant was not the best but I very much enjoyed the coffee and crepe. They have a huge menu of food items to explore. I just sat and relaxed and enjoyed. It was great. Casual. Good service. Good parking. Please come and create your own adventure.

Such a sweet and delicious place! Everyone one is so kind, it was definitely busy in there however it was so calm. You can tell everyone who works there loves what they do, they take time and pay attention to details. I got the OMG latte and excuse me but I was so happy that it said crème brûlée topping and they actually whipped out a little torch and did it super delicious! The food was fantastic, between the kind service and good food I would 100% come back!

The brunch menu was limiting, with only a few egg dishes, sandwiches, and breads. The French toast and waffle were nearly $20 each despite the small portions and standard toppings. *French Toast: the worst item of the meal. The bread had no flavor or egginess and left a strange sandy mouthfeel. The interior was so dry that it soaked up all the moisture in my mouth. A poor showing for a classic French toast. *Waffle: the batter was slightly sweetened but felt too dense. The fruit was fresh, although nothing about the toppings or overall quality stood out. *Steak Frites: hanger steak topped with chimichurri and fries. It was supposed to come with bernaise sauce, but I did not receive any. The steak leaned closer to rare rather than the medium rare I asked for. However, it was still tender, and the chimichurri was vibrant and herbaceous. I wished more sauce had been applied, as the dish was a bit dry. The fries were decent, though I would have preferred more crunch. Given the long wait, I expected much more from the dishes in terms of flavor and execution. I was disappointed by how flavorless and dry everything was.

The lady who helped me - dark hair, really overly colorful eye makeup, and tattoos - processed the transaction but handed me the card without a receipt. When I asked for one, she spent a moment at the screen and then told me she couldn't print it because she had already closed out my tab. I was confused why 1) she didn't give me a receipt in the first place, then 2) she decided that was the only solution - to tell me it could not be done. After I asked her to find a solution as I needed a copy of the receipt, she finally asked her colleague beside her, who pointed her to the right place, and, voila, the receipt was printed. Leading with "I can't" is never the right customer service instinct, especially for something as basic as a receipt. I also tried to buy the butter they import from France. I stood at the case for several minutes with no acknowledgment. I finally walked over to the nearest employee (her name was Lucy) who was finishing up with a customer at the register right next to the butter section. I politely asked if she could help me when she was free. She looked at me, nodded, and said she would. Then proceeded to assist every customer who lined up behind that original customer without once glancing back in my direction. In fact, I had enough time to walk to the bakery, go through the entire gift card situation as mentioned above, and return to the butter section, and Lucy still hadn't looked over. I left without the butter. Moulin used to have fantastic service. I don't know where those regulars went, but two strikes in one visit, with two different employees, is hard to brush off.

I started with the Singe Germain, made with Monkey 47 Gin, St. Germain, crème de cassis, and lemon juice. This was easily one of the best cocktails I have ever had. It was so good that I ordered two more. My wife got the Rizière de Lychee, which seemed like their take on a lychee martini. The vanilla notes made it unique and really enjoyable, but we both agreed that the Singe Germain was the star cocktail of the night. One of our favorite appetizers at any restaurant is yellowtail crudo or hamachi, and Marché Moderne's version was incredible. The fish practically melted in our mouths, but the mango-yuzu-jalapeño sorbet on top was ridiculous. That sorbet could honestly be served as its own dish. Our only complaint was how quickly the whole thing disappeared. We also tried the grilled octopus petit plat. It leaned more Spanish than French to me, especially with the chorizo, and the potatoes and chorizo ended up being our favorite parts. We both tend to prefer cold appetizers over hot ones, so next time we will probably try the tataki instead, but the octopus was still very good. We ordered the bread as well. Despite all the reviews praising it, I thought it was good, but not necessarily life-changing. The real star was the butter with the big flakes of salt on top. For our mains, my wife ordered the Hokkaido scallops and I got the filet au poivre, essentially their steak frites. The steak frites was incredible. The sauce alone was enough reason to order the entire dish. The steak was cooked to a perfect medium rare, and the tableside presentation made it feel even more special. They first placed down the fries and salad, then brought over the steak in the sauce, transferred it onto the plate, and poured the sauce over the top. They asked whether I wanted sauce over the fries too, which was obviously an immediate yes. The fries were good, although I thought they could have used a little more salt. The salad surprised me the most. I originally assumed it was just there to fill out the plate, but the vinaigrette was fantastic and made it something I actually wanted to keep eating. My wife loved the scallops, which was not surprising because she is a huge scallop fan. The dish itself was somewhat bare, though. It was essentially a few scallops with sauce, so if we had not also been sharing the steak frites and several appetizers, I do not think it would have been enough for her as an entrée by itself. Lastly, we ordered the crème brûlée, and this might have been the best dish of the entire night. It came with berries and a hazelnut cake underneath. Because we were celebrating our anniversary, they wrote "Happy 5 Year Anniversary" in chocolate ganache next to it, which paired ridiculously well with the crème brûlée. That little detail also perfectly summarizes the service. Our server answered every question I had about the menu, asked what we were celebrating, recommended the incredible Singe Germain, and made us feel completely at home. Another gentleman came by to talk with us, and we casually mentioned that it was our fifth anniversary. They did not just remember that it was an anniversary. They remembered that it was five years and included that specific detail on our dessert plate. That extra bit of thoughtfulness meant a lot to us. My only small disappointment was the seating. I had heard that one side of the restaurant has a large window where you can watch the chefs cook, but we were seated closer to the bar and could not see it. It did not hurt the meal, but next time I would love to request a table on the kitchen side. My wife and I have eaten at Michelin-starred restaurants from California to New York City, including everything from one to three stars, and Marché Moderne has the makings of something truly special. The food was excellent, but the service and hospitality took the entire experience to another level. Overall, this was about a 4.7 out of 5 for us. We will absolutely be back, and I cannot believe it took us five years to finally come here.
