Without a doubt this is the most unprofessional service provider I have ever experienced. I took my Porsche there to have its headliner repaired (re-skinned) because it was sagging. I was told I would get a "5-year warranty". I told the owner that I wanted to use the original Porsche Alcantara material and he said that would be an extra $400. I said no problem, let's do it. He said it would be done in 1 day. He did not give me a written estimate, just a verbal quote. The car was not ready when promised and so I had to leave it overnight - which I had told him I didn't want to do, but now I had to - his facility is in a not-so-nice area and although he has a gate, which is better than nothing, still, all the cars are left outside, uncovered, overnight. When I went to pick it up, the owner came out and cursed several times, repeatedly saying "what a f*cking b*tch the job was to do!", and how he got in an argument with his son about the work... Given only a quick glance, in a hurry, since he was closing, and with insufficient lighting inside the dark car, at first, it seemed okay, so I went into the office to pay and get a receipt - which now only said I had a "3-year warranty"... And upon getting in and driving away, I immediately found that all 4 of the seat belts were not working properly, that there was glue clearly visible on several surfaces, the car had all kinds of new rattles, metal was now visible near the sunroof, and there was a 1-inch gap between the headliner and the roof, visible from outside of the car through the windshield, with duck-tape visible inside that gap! There were also several wrinkles in the new material - which he had assured me there would not be. In other words, a very messy terribly amateurish job was done! Every doubt and fear I had about using him in the first place (given the messy appearance of his facility and his unprofessional behavior, e.g., no written estimate, etc.,) came true and then some! So I pulled over and called his office and told him I would bring it back in the next day to go over all the problems. Apparently he had his son do the work, when I was expecting him to do the work himself. So when I brought it back in, his son came up to go over the issues with me, but I insisted I speak to the owner. I told him that I wanted to be fair, and even though I'd already fully paid him, I realized that it was more difficult than he expected, and since my car was so important to me, I would give him AN ADDITIONAL $1,000 if he would redo the work himself and if he fixed all the issues. He said he'd rather give me a refund than redo the job, but then he suggested he cover the Alcantara, that he had just installed, with a different (cheaper and more pliable) material, and that maybe he could do the work himself on the weekend, and that if he'd do that, then he'd give me a 10-year warranty". This made no sense to me -- how could a second layer, applied on top of a questionable, wrinkled, lower layer, be more solid and wrinkle free? But I was stuck at that point and agreed to do it - to bring it back on the weekend so he could do the work himself. A date was set. But last minute he texted me and said he had a conflict and would have to reschedule. I said, OK... and he said he would call me the following week to reschedule. I never, ever heard from him again. And no refund either. So now I was out all the money I had paid him, for a car that was now worse off then when I first brought it in to him! So I gave up on him entirely and took my car somewhere else, and they did a perfect, professional, job. So, I'm telling you, taking your car to this place is a huge risk. Maybe, if you have, say, a simple door panel that you need reupholstered, on an older car, that has no electronics or complexity, then MAYBE you'd be okay, but if there is any complexity to it, I'd run as far away from these guys as fast as you can! read more

I took it to Raul at classic auto upholstery and restyling and I got to tell you he is by far the best out there he was able to fix it in one day and works better then it ever has. I had a very poor experience with this business. I dropped off a rear seat to a classic VW Bettle. Several weeks after dropping off the seat I called to see where we we're at in the process. They hadn't ordered the materials. Another week goes by and they (Raul and Judy) are asking me for photos of the other seats and that the materials would be ordered soon. Finally, my seat is finished. NOT professional work. The back of the rear seat has open gaps and exposed glue. The seat back is broken and missing the original screws. The mechanism that operates the seats for fold it forward is under the material. Also missing is a very difficult to find rear seat rail. Lame excuses from the business owner for the missing parts. I text message the next business day to hopefully retrieve the missing parts with negative results. Buyer beware. read more

I have an aging Audi cabriolet whose rear window hat come un-glued at the top from the fabric convertible top. They brought the car in on Saturday AM as agreed and had the car back to me on a Sunday! at 11AM. They have done work for me in the past including prior work on the bottom of the window 3 years ago. Had made an appointment with them through Katzskin to get my upholstery in my vehicle changed. They came to Lake Havasu City AZ where they did the job. The lady called me to inform me that they could not open my rear passenger door after taking the door panel off and would need me to take my vehicle to Cathedral City so they could have their mechanics fix it. Made an appointment with them, when I arrived to their shop in Cathedral City the employees acted as if I didn't have an appointment I was promised a loaner while I waited for my vehicle to be fixed as well as door panel upholstery replaced. I had to wait outside in the heat because they didn't have a loaner on-site and had to go get it and their building was not wheelchair accessible for me to go in. The loaner they gave me was a dirty vehicle that looked like it belong to someone. It had expired plates, trash inside and was pretty much empty on gas. When I addressed the gas issue one of the employees said that I could fill it up and they would reimburse me. To say the least I did not go far in the vehicle. My rear passenger door was not fixed so ended up taking it into the dealership to be fixed. I'm missing some parts for the door that they admitted to having but have not return to me nor have answered my calls or messages. read more

I have a 1y/o Toyota highlander that developed a clicking noise in the back seat that was driving me so crazy I was ready to trade the car. Neither the Toyota dealership, nor the Toyota factory rep. would do anything about it except suggesting that I take them to arbitration. It took 2 visits to Raul to finally find and solve the problem. I won't say how much he charged me because it wasn't enough for the amount of work they did. Excellent service! I called here to have someone take a look at the passenger seat in my SLK. The center seam had come undone, likely the result of leaving the top down too often in the 120-degree heat. The desert can be rough on you car's interior, as it turns out. I had no problem getting an appointment on my one day off this week. The office staff was super friendly. The guy came out promptly and looked at my seat. He told me he could have it fixed the next day if I dropped it off that morning. I dropped it off the next morning and confirmed that it would be done that day. This was important because I would need my car the following day to run errands for work. I left my car and headed home. Originally, he told me it would be done by 5PM. I got a call saying it was done around 1PM. Awesome. When I arrived back, they showed me the work. It looks great! Good as new. The price was also a little less than I expected. This place is the bomb! Raoul, Francisco and Lupe? are all wonderful down to earth people who specialize in just about everything you need fixed on a vehicle that is out of the ordinary or a part that is extremely expensive for what it is to replace by the dealer. Raoul fixed a part on the right front passenger seat that covers the power seat controls. A clip had broken on the original cover and it was just hanging there. The only thing keeping it attached was the power seat control knobs. The dealer wanted over $250.00 to replace the part. Raoul charged me less than $17.00 to repair the clip and put the part back in position. He also said if I buy the part from the dealer, he will replace it for free‼ Then theres Francisco. I had tried cleaning my car seats on my Toyota Camry Hybrid XLE with a can of Bissell upholstery cleaner safe for leather vinyl and fabric. I used the can on my two front seats in my car and it cleaned the fabric just fine. However it bleached and burned the leather on the seats in car. My Car has Fabric inserts in the center of the front seats going halfway up the back as they are heated and cooled seats. The side bolsters on the seat and back are made of grey leather that had literally turned brown from bleaching the color out of the leather. I called Bissell, but thats another review of its own‼ I took my car to car washes, auto detailers, places I found on the net and finally to two Touota Dealers. They both said they send ALL THEIR CARS WITH LEATHER ISSUES TO CLASSIC AUTO RESTYLING! So I went back again and Francisco took one look and said No Problem! I can have this fixed for you in Two Hours‼ Amazing! He did such a beautiful job, the seats look brand new. He painted/dyed the leather the original color grey from the factory. He had both front seats done in less than 2 hours and charged me $250.00 for the work! Extraordinary Service‼ This place is constantly busy, its always humming and I love the vibe here. This is a decent, honest, family run business and Raoul cares about what he does for his clients. Treat him right and with respect and he will treat you the same way. I truly am grateful I found this place. Theres nothing they can't fix on just about any vehicle and its even affordable for people. I hope it stays this way! read more

FIND SOMEWHERE ELSE. I was recommended by the dealership at Toyota for repair on door panel. A lot of frustrating experiences in just one visit. Prices are inconsistent. Even by emailing a week ahead of time, with pictures and the owner increased the price and I received 4 different price quotes from one shop alone. Made an appointment at 8am left with the car by 4 pm and they said it will take about 2 hours it took them 8 hours. Worked is rushed and felt like they were working on other cars other than my own. They left a lot of glue residue overhang and the mechanic messed up the locking mechanism to my car. Ended up having to bring back the car immediately so they can fix it. The Owner Raul seems to be out of touch with customer care and has no accountability for his business as he blamed the team for many of the problems. The team is great though. Son seems to be good with the numbers and the ladies light up that dark office of theirs. Overall Rating D. read more
