I had a very poor experience with this business. I dropped off a rear seat to a classic VW Bettle. Several weeks after dropping off the seat I called to see where we we're at in the process. They hadn't ordered the materials. Another week goes by and they (Raul and Judy) are asking me for photos of the other seats and that the materials would be ordered soon. Finally, my seat is finished. NOT professional work. The back of the rear seat has open gaps and exposed glue. The seat back is broken and missing the original screws. The mechanism that operates the seats for fold it forward is under the material. Also missing is a very difficult to find rear seat rail. Lame excuses from the business owner for the missing parts. I text message the next business day to hopefully retrieve the missing parts with negative results. Buyer beware. read more

I have an aging Audi cabriolet whose rear window hat come un-glued at the top from the fabric convertible top. They brought the car in on Saturday AM as agreed and had the car back to me on a Sunday! at 11AM. They have done work for me in the past including prior work on the bottom of the window 3 years ago. Had made an appointment with them through Katzskin to get my upholstery in my vehicle changed. They came to Lake Havasu City AZ where they did the job. The lady called me to inform me that they could not open my rear passenger door after taking the door panel off and would need me to take my vehicle to Cathedral City so they could have their mechanics fix it. Made an appointment with them, when I arrived to their shop in Cathedral City the employees acted as if I didn't have an appointment I was promised a loaner while I waited for my vehicle to be fixed as well as door panel upholstery replaced. I had to wait outside in the heat because they didn't have a loaner on-site and had to go get it and their building was not wheelchair accessible for me to go in. The loaner they gave me was a dirty vehicle that looked like it belong to someone. It had expired plates, trash inside and was pretty much empty on gas. When I addressed the gas issue one of the employees said that I could fill it up and they would reimburse me. To say the least I did not go far in the vehicle. My rear passenger door was not fixed so ended up taking it into the dealership to be fixed. I'm missing some parts for the door that they admitted to having but have not return to me nor have answered my calls or messages. read more

This review is a total recommendation of Classic Auto and Raul! He not only solved my problem but he did it courteously and always with a smile. I have a 1y/o Toyota highlander that developed a clicking noise in the back seat that was driving me so crazy I was ready to trade the car. Neither the Toyota dealership, nor the Toyota factory rep. would do anything about it except suggesting that I take them to arbitration. It took 2 visits to Raul to finally find and solve the problem. I won't say how much he charged me because it wasn't enough for the amount of work they did. He test drove the car several times, even lying on the floor while I was driving it to locate the source. I can highly recommend them for any of the services that they provide. read more

Excellent service! I called here to have someone take a look at the passenger seat in my SLK. The center seam had come undone, likely the result of leaving the top down too often in the 120-degree heat. The desert can be rough on you car's interior, as it turns out. I had no problem getting an appointment on my one day off this week. The office staff was super friendly. The guy came out promptly and looked at my seat. He told me he could have it fixed the next day if I dropped it off that morning. I dropped it off the next morning and confirmed that it would be done that day. This was important because I would need my car the following day to run errands for work. I left my car and headed home. Originally, he told me it would be done by 5PM. I got a call saying it was done around 1PM. Awesome. When I arrived back, they showed me the work. It looks great! Good as new. The price was also a little less than I expected. This place is the bomb! Raoul, Francisco and Lupe? are all wonderful down to earth people who specialize in just about everything you need fixed on a vehicle that is out of the ordinary or a part that is extremely expensive for what it is to replace by the dealer. Raoul fixed a part on the right front passenger seat that covers the power seat controls. A clip had broken on the original cover and it was just hanging there. The only thing keeping it attached was the power seat control knobs. The dealer wanted over $250.00 to replace the part. Raoul charged me less than $17.00 to repair the clip and put the part back in position. He also said if I buy the part from the dealer, he will replace it for free‼ Then theres Francisco. I had tried cleaning my car seats on my Toyota Camry Hybrid XLE with a can of Bissell upholstery cleaner safe for leather vinyl and fabric. I used the can on my two front seats in my car and it cleaned the fabric just fine. However it bleached and burned the leather on the seats in car. My Car has Fabric inserts in the center of the front seats going halfway up the back as they are heated and cooled seats. The side bolsters on the seat and back are made of grey leather that had literally turned brown from bleaching the color out of the leather. I called Bissell, but thats another review of its own‼ I took my car to car washes, auto detailers, places I found on the net and finally to two Touota Dealers. They both said they send ALL THEIR CARS WITH LEATHER ISSUES TO CLASSIC AUTO RESTYLING! So I went back again and Francisco took one look and said No Problem! I can have this fixed for you in Two Hours‼ Amazing! He did such a beautiful job, the seats look brand new. He painted/dyed the leather the original color grey from the factory. He had both front seats done in less than 2 hours and charged me $250.00 for the work! Extraordinary Service‼ This place is constantly busy, its always humming and I love the vibe here. This is a decent, honest, family run business and Raoul cares about what he does for his clients. Treat him right and with respect and he will treat you the same way. I truly am grateful I found this place. Theres nothing they can't fix on just about any vehicle and its even affordable for people. I hope it stays this way! read more

I wanted to have a custom pocket created on the back of my driver seat so I could conceal battery packs for my dash camera. Judy quickly pointed out a zipper that I had not noticed on the back of my seat and showed me there was space to conceal my battery packs there. She talked herself out of a sale, and I appreciated her amazing customer service! No need for me to pay for something I already had! FIND SOMEWHERE ELSE. I was recommended by the dealership at Toyota for repair on door panel. A lot of frustrating experiences in just one visit. Prices are inconsistent. Even by emailing a week ahead of time, with pictures and the owner increased the price and I received 4 different price quotes from one shop alone. Made an appointment at 8am left with the car by 4 pm and they said it will take about 2 hours it took them 8 hours. Worked is rushed and felt like they were working on other cars other than my own. They left a lot of glue residue overhang and the mechanic messed up the locking mechanism to my car. Ended up having to bring back the car immediately so they can fix it. The Owner Raul seems to be out of touch with customer care and has no accountability for his business as he blamed the team for many of the problems. The team is great though. Son seems to be good with the numbers and the ladies light up that dark office of theirs. Overall Rating D. read more

This is the place for upholstery work. I had just bought a used Porsche Boxster S. The top was loose where it anchored at the rear Initially I didn't have the car with me but described what was needed to Raul on another car being worked on by his team. It was late in the afternoon but Raul told me to bring the car around in the morning. The next morning I showed up with the car and Raul worked his magic and I was on the road in about a half an hour. The top looked new again. The best part was that Raul gave a price range when I described what was needed, but once the work was completed I was charged less than the original quote. Raul said once he saw the car it was an easy fix. I was only visiting Palm Springs to pickup the Car then driving home to the Pacific Northwest.
