My mom got me hooked on this store. She's been shopping here for decades, while I've been shopping here for about 20 years myself. My mom was referred here by an older church lady in 1989 (I think). This place is dangerous for your pocket book! However, I love it here and that there's a new punch card system. I find everything I need for my baking (and non baking) needs. Their prices are higher than other stores, but their quality can't be beat. I will only buy my chocolate for cake pops and dipping items here. Wilton chocolate is crap. If you have questions, the staff is always super friendly. They have a very large selection for such a tiny store. I love that it's local and if you plan ahead (buy before the holidays), you can be in and out in 5 minutes, unlike the huge lines at Michaels or Hobby Lobby. They have a large variety of sprinkles, pans, finishing products, cupcake papers, candy molds, and cake decorating supplies galore. I just wish they were open for longer hours, like 9am-6:30pm for corporate working people who shop after or before work. read more

So I finally went to this magical fun store of a bakers heaven! I was a little worried about the service after reading all the negative reviews about customer service, but my experience was great! They were very helpful! I had lots of questions since i am in no means of a baker. I like to do sugar cookies, bake em from the box and decorate them. They had all the fun crystals, and pre made flowers. And I'm glad I asked if they could recommend a frosting for cookies because they had tubs pre made to buy! That was a nice surprise. :) So i really liked this place and plan on going back for all my baking needs. read more

Fighting traffic after work and driving around to find this place just before closing was a bit hectic. Luckily, I made it within 15 minutes of closing. Unfortunately, I did not need all of those 15 minutes before closing to do my shopping because this place is tiny! I was very disappointed by the selection. This being a specialty shop, I was expecting more, but I felt as if they had about the same amount of inventory as a generic Micheal's store would have. The set up is also not so customer friendly, a bit cluttered, and the service not so great either. I would recommend skipping this shop all together because chances are they won't have what you need if you're looking for a hard to find item. read more

I decided to make a Peter Rabbit cake for my cousin's baby shower. I've never worked with gumpaste or fondant before. I watched some YouTube videos and realized that I would need Satin Ice gumpaste, plus Americolor and petal dust to color my gumpaste figures. I only had 3 days before the party and it was hard to find these items. Luckily Classic Cake Decorations had everything I needed in stock! I was helped by two nice ladies who answered all of my questions (there were a lot) and they even offered some neat tips (like use dry spaghetti instead of toothpicks for the figures so that they are truly edible). The store is awesome! It has almost everything you would need to decorate a cake. The prices were reasonable and I even bought some premade gumpaste decorations just in case my sculpting ability was inferior. Luckily, the sculpting class I took 20 years ago helped and I ended up making all of the decorations. I did cheat and buy the cake filling there. I chose Bavarian cream and strawberries for each layer. Both were yummy! All of the products were bought at Classic Cake Decorations and they even have cake decorating classes. I highly recommend them if you are looking for a place to buy all of your cake decorating supplies or if you need some advice. read more

Had the best birthday party for my daughter's 10th birthday! The girls had all the supplies and instruction brought to decorate small cakes. They had a blast! This place has a little bit of everything and a lot of something! It's a shame I'm moving so far away after finally finding a decent decorating supplies location. I do plan to visit when I'm in town. Prices are reasonable, you MIGHT find some items cheaper online, but with shipping & handling...nothing beats having it in hand and checking out what you're getting in person. I used to go to Michael's and be disappointed they're out of pretzel rod bags, or pop sticks I need....this place is fully stocked with a bigger variety. The SPRINKLES...omg...never did I think I would be excited over sprinkles. They are amazing!! Beautiful colors, textures. You get what you pay for, quality isn't cheap...but it's well worth it. Came here for the first time and I love it here! The workers here are so helpful in all my questions. The prices are reasonable. I needed to buy 3 9inch round cakes pans to make my first 3 layer chocolate cake. When you come into the store, your mind can go wild with so many options on other things you want to try and make/bake! I wanted to buy more stuff but first I need to make my chocolate cake. This is my go-to store for quick supplies. I have read the other reviews and have to agree the women that work there aren't the most friendly in the world until you engage them in conversation (which probably should be the other way around) but they are reasonable priced and have some great items. I love the candy melts. Beat out wilton hands down for a creamy melted chocolate. Once you get them chatting, they are very knowledgeable and can give you some great baking tips tricks and advice. read more

I have been purchasing caramel apple supplies from Classic Cake Decorations for over 12 years. The last two years I have had major issues with the caramel sliding off the apples (Peters Caramel). This is incredibly inconvenient in the caramel apple making process. I make over 75 apples during the holiday season and spend a lot of money at this store on supplies. I called last year and this year regarding this issue and was told the issue was remediated. We scrub/wash the apples to remove all wax and heat the caramel to specified temperature. Very disappointed in the product! read more

I haven't gone to this store many times, but each time I go, they have exactly what I'm looking for and I'm reminded of all of the other fun things they have! Nearly any theme you have in mind, you can get cake/cupcake decor for your party and the prices are crazy reasonable. The store is small, but mighty - I am so happy that we are now close to this store. They also offer decorating classes that I haven't participated in, but look fun. They had some displays of holiday treats you can make and they ranged from items I feel I could pull off no problem to those that provided excellent inspiration. I'll be heading back this week as I need a specific color of icing that I know I won't have to look all over town for. Also I noticed they have edible glitter, a million kinds of sprinkles and so many other items that would make my novice baking self giddy with ideas! read more

First visit was sept. 14/19 it was a good experience so I was from now on I'm keep coming and buying my decorating supplies here. So I go on to the store today oct.18 and the experience was going good until there was a point when I had to ask for help and get answers to some concerns and this lady that I don't know her name with dark hair. I ask her things and told her I wanted to compare prices with another store which I have the right to if u want to. She walks alway and starts telling the other employees I wanted to compare prices and starting cracking up looking at me since I was the only one there. She took me as a joke that's how I felt. So doubting of coming back to this store I gather go spend my well valuable earned money and gas at the cake walk or the bakers Bodega then here. Where they think I'm funny and take me ask a joke like if my money is worthless. Someone needs to seriously do something about this lady since it's her second complain or this store with end up losing more customers. read more

Every time I've been here, the ladies were always helpful and friendly. I came here recently because I was in need of a specific cookie cutter within a very short time frame. I originally was going to purchase it from Amazon, because I figured it would be about the same price and would get to me the next day. Turns out, I miscalculated the timing, and called Classic Cake to check if they carried the item. They did, AND it was half the price of the cheapest one I saw on Amazon. On top of that, the lady who helped me informed me that I had rewards points that I could use, which brought my total down to 71 cents! You can't beat the excellent service here. I've thought about going to The Cake Walk for my baking supplies, but as long as Classic Cake has what I need, I'm keeping this as my go-to. read more

I love coming here for all my candy making and baking necessities. They have a wide range of molds and plenty of decoration options such as sprinkles. The staff is always helpful and very kind! My daughter's and I love to go here to get all our candy making supplies. The customer service is top notch and the new location is closer to our house. I highly recommend trying this place out. Once you walk into the store the yummy smells are so welcoming. They don't always have everything you need, even for basic supplies and colorings. They are always willing to help, take your phone number and will tell you they will bring an item in stock and call you back... but that doesn't always happen. I use to come here often, but now I feel that they would be my last resort, after Micheals and Amazon. read more
