The lemon crack cookies are seriously the best! All natural ingredients, and tasty too. I highly recommend them.

When we ordered the cinnamon roll, there was no option to heat it up, so we thought they would have done it already. When it was served, it was rock solid. So, we asked them to heat it up. However, after a few minutes, it still wasn't that gooey and the inner core was still pretty tough. Perhaps they could have warmed it up so that it was evenly softened. Overall, the cinnamon roll was alright. It was a brioche roll so you would think it might be lighter and fluffy, but ours was pretty dry. However, the cream on top was insanely good. It carried the roll. The hazelnut twist was kind of what you would expect. A twisted pastry but with a hefty amount of hazelnut-chocolate spread thru the layers. We sat in a little nook, where there was a magnetic black board, where there were word tiles you could rearrange in any way. It was a nice place to just look around at all the sentences the community wrote. Chess tables were also available as extra seating. Overall, the service was good, but could be better when warming up pastries, so that the customer can enjoy them properly!

There was ample seating inside and outside. Staff was very nice at helping us choose our food. We ended up ordering a wide variety of things. My personal favorite was the tomato and basil pizza and the carrot cake.

I've…read morenever had a bad experience here before, the food has always been great, and the staff has always made us feel welcomed and taken care of. This last visit was unfortunately very different. We came in with a fairly large party, and we completely understood that accommodating a group our size is a lot of work. When we got in line, the employee asked how many people were in our party, which made sense. However, we were then told that we could not all pay separately. This was confusing because payment is taken before you even sit down, so it's not like we were trying to split a bill afterward. Rather than make a fuss, we combined everyone's orders onto one card, totaling around $400. The food and drinks came out fairly quickly, which we appreciated. The reason I felt compelled to write this review, though, was because of how rude one particular employee was during the experience. She was wearing patriotic cat ears and appeared to be one of the baristas. One of my friends ordered a latte with alternative milk, but it seems the order may have been entered incorrectly. I've worked in the coffee industry myself, so I understand mistakes happen all the time, and remaking a drink is usually not a huge issue. Instead of handling it kindly, the employee responded with, "That's how it was put in, the request time has passed, that's our policy," in an incredibly dismissive and rude tone. We were honestly stunned. My friend, visibly uncomfortable, just quietly said "Okay," and the employee walked away. Nothing was offered to make the situation right. This happened after we had already spent hundreds of dollars and tipped before even being served. I'm not someone who enjoys complaining or writing negative reviews, but the interaction completely changed the experience for our entire group. What's most disappointing is that the refusal itself wasn't even the main issue, it was the attitude and apparent enjoyment in being dismissive over a very small and understandable mistake. I'm writing this mostly out of disappointment because I truly loved this place. I also think it's important for larger parties to know ahead of time that there appears to be a policy limiting payment methods, even though I've personally visited before with smaller groups where separate payments were allowed. I genuinely hope this was just an off day, because Eller Bakery has been a place I've loved supporting for a long time.

I went on a Friday night and it was VERY lively! There was a band playing by the bar and it was packed! People were drinking, dancing, hanging out. All of this is happening in a supermarket! Lots of food vendors to check out and all of it looked delicious! I don't remember the names of the places my friend and I ordered food from, but I had a chile relleno burrita, seafood cocktail, and pozole. I've never really had chile relleno, so I decided to just go for it and try something different even though there were other options that were more my preference. It was alright. Good thing it was only $5. The seafood cocktail was delicious! They did not skimp on the seafood and everything in it tasted so fresh. Pozole wasn't terrible, but just like my burrita, it was a bit on the bland side. Maybe my palate skews too heavily towards salty, but I felt like a little salt here and there would've really improved the flavors in everything we ordered. Overall the quality/freshness was there! Regarding the market part, nothing special. Maybe a little more selection than your typical Northgate, especially in the liquor department. Their wall of tequila was impressive. I will definitely be back again to try the other foods! In fact, I may just come all the way out here to do grocery shopping from time to time. I saw a guy doing some shopping with a cocktail in his cart and I want to live that life. Bro definitely had the right idea.

During my recent visit, Wendy at cashier station 5 on 6.13.2026 at around 7:30pm provided extremely disrespectful service and openly stated that she did not care enough to learn the pricing codes while scanning items. This raises concerns about pricing accuracy, not only for me but for other loyal customers as well. Fortunately, the employee assisting with bagging demonstrated far more professionalism and took the initiative to correct the mistakes caused by Wendy's lack of attention and concern. I hope management addresses this issue, as customers deserve courteous service and confidence that they are being charged accurately.

They have other items on their menu too that I'm excited to try next time I come here. There was a decent line when I came here, but the wait wasn't long. I noticed a lot of people who came here buy in bulk, which was very interesting. It made me wondered if these churros are good when reheated. I only got the smallest order since I wanted to try them fresh, but I might order more next time to see how they reheat. The location itself is inside the Northgate Market, which is very nice. It's nice to go shopping and treat oneself to some fresh churros. The parking lot is also very big so no issues with parking. Highly recommend this place, I'll definitely be back here again.

My wife had heard about a churro place inside of a very large Gonzalez Supermarket in Costa Mesa. We walked into the market, and it was absolutely huge! It resembled a food hall inside of a regular market. We travelled through the store and made our way to the churro stand, which was right next to the market's bakery. After waiting in line for a few minutes, I ordered the churro bites since it easy to share with my wife. After paying for the churros, you can actually watch at the window the process in wish the churros are fried up. It was a sight to see for sure. The churros bites were super hot and fresh. The server totally blanketed our bites with yummy cinnamon sugar. Each churro bite was a crispy on the outside and chewy on the inside. It was really, really good. I will want to try the full size churros next time for sure, and perhaps try some dipping sauces. Overall, this is a must visit if you are in this area and want some of best fresh churros ever.
