We recently renovated our kitchen and bath within a 6 month period and used Classic Tile both times. We found their prices to be good and their customer service to be excellent. Our salesperson, Nando, was very helpful with guiding us through narrowing our choices and options without being pushy or non-committal and he took back any unopened boxes of tile with no questions asked. This is a treasure of a tile shop that respects the craft of tiling. Unlike big box stores, the staff here is exceedingly knowledgeable as they have all tiled for a living and have first hand experience with the products.The selection is VAST and of high quality, unlike the ho-hum-slipshod-rectified-whats-that joke you find at a big box store. The prices are a bit higher, but you're paying for the expertise. That being said, they do have a decent selection of sale items for tighter budgets. First time Joe helped me to finalize the choice, this time it was Louis. Before helping me make the final decision, he carefully listened to all my needs, foibles and preferences (usually they don't take female customers seriously thinking we want something that hasn't been created yet), and then gave his advice in a polite but persuasive way. I used classic tile to for my bathroom remodel job. They were very helpful with choosing my tile and helping me with every aspect of my purchase. Great selection of tiles at fair prices. HOWEVER, the contractor named SAL that Victor recommended for installation did a HORRIBLE JOB and ruined my brand new kitchen. Futhermore Sal's business card seems to be completely bogus--no last name, wrong address etc. Called better business bureau and left a complaint. By all means buy your tiles at Classic Tile (great showroom and selection) but be very careful of the contractors they recommend for installation. I am out $2000.00 and have to do the whole thing over at an even higher expense because of tile removal and prep work. Wow--what a mistake to have run into this Sal guy--if that's his real name. read more

My contractor recommended I come to Classic instead of another store I had been dealing with for years. I have to admit, the first time I went there I was overwhelmed because the place is not huge and their inventory is vast, and there I simply couldn't make any selections because of how things were displayed. Fast forward 4 months to my next renovation project and my contractor urged me to give it another try. I guess the first time I was there, they must have been remodeling because they now had display walls with model patterns and sample baths, and everything was organized into categories. What I really liked was that the person I was working with, Big John, actively participated in the selection and gave me good advice. He also did not try to sell me the most expensive products; in fact, he talked me out of something that would have been more costly in favor of something more practical & timeless. Today I went back with my measurements to place the order: easy-peasy. The price was quite reasonable as well. Now I'm sad I have nothing left to renovate but I will surely recommend Classic Tile to anyone I know who does. read more

Frankie, in particular, was very attentive without making me feel smothered. He let me take samples of tiles that I like to show my husband. Im currently revamping my kitchen and I needed materials and advice. I visited two tile stores near me-Richmond Tile and Classic Tile. By far Classic Tile was the superior store. They were extremely helpful, knowledgable and had a great selection . My budget was very low because my house is currently on the market and I didn't want to invest a lot in it. Nicky at Classic was so pleasant and patient and he found me a few beautiful stones and mosaic accents that I simply love and can easily afford!! It was a pleasure dealing with Classic Tile. Unlike the other tile store, I didn't feel like I was a bother nor did I have to triple my budget to get something nice. I really wish I would have known this a year ago before I redid my bathroom. I could have spent less and got something I loved. P.S. Shopping at Home Depot and Lowes would have cost me double and I didn't even love the selection they had. So don't be mistaken- popular big chain stores is not always the way to go. read more

I fully recommend Classic Tile. I went to every tile store in the five boroughs and NJ and John provided the best customer service. He went completely out of his way to make sure I got the tile I wanted, even if he did not stock it. He contacted another distributor and ordered it from them to sell to me. Even by doing that, the price was essentially the same if I had went to that distributor directly. I called him many times over a course of 2 weeks asking him for tiles he did not stock and he was always happy to help source them for me. I found Classic Tile & Marble Inc. by doing a Google search for the type of tile I wanted. Our local tile shop was unable to get it in time for our deadline. Joe helped me via telephone. He was wonderful! Yes we have it in stock, yes we ship to Ohio, yes you can have it in four business days!!! Then my decorator called to verify it was the correct material and she concurred: the people are so nice! My tile is on the way and I could not be happier. From beginning to end we had a great experience with Classic Tile. When we first came in, John was professional and thorough - he spent a good half hour explaining several lines of marble tile that we were interested in. The prices were quite reasonable compared to the tile places in the Flatiron area. The order and delivery were smooth. When we had a concern with some of the tile having crystal deposits, Lou took great care of us. He arranged for us to receive an additional shipment to make sure we had enough tile with just the right look. I think it means a lot when a business demonstrates that they can handle a problem well. Not that I plan on redoing my bathroom again any time soon, but if I did - I would definitely use Classic Tile again. read more

Classic Tile in Bayridge is the best tile store in Brooklyn! I did a total reno of my 2 bedroom/2bath apt and bought all of my tiling and flooring tiles from them last year. Now that my mom is renovating her kitchen, I'm back at Classic. John was and still is especially helpful and very knowledgeable as well as other staff members. Also Lou has been wonderful. I'm a persistent negotiator and always left the store fully satisfied. They have lots of patience... I encourage everyone to support local businesses. Their prices already beat the negotiated discounted price from another tile store i was originally going to order from. The guys are extremely helpful and knowledgeable. There isn't another tile store in Brooklyn that offers as many choices as Classis Tile. The sales guys are all friendly and nice. Ours was a guy named Big John. He was great; very helpful. When we were having trouble deciding on tile for the shower floor; he pulled a few samples from the drawer and brought them over to the wall tile we selected to help us make a decision and he found one that was the exact look we were going for. He was helpful in recommending a contractor to us and also suggested someplace for us to order our shower doors. Big John was always courteous and pleasant to deal with.
